Do you lactate? Ok, not that kind of lactate! In short lactate threshold (LT) is the training area between aerobic and anaerobic running. LT training teaches the running body how to efficiently remove lactate acid build up in the muscles and allow you to run aerobically longer and faster. Tempo runs are great workouts that you can add to your weekly workouts and will develop your LT. Those should be run anywhere from 10-20 seconds per mile slower than 5k race pace and last anywhere from 20min to 40mins long. Mom Tribe Monday! ❤️ • • Want to take a chance today to shout out my number 1 tribe member. Some may say that he is not part of my tribe because he is my husband. But I certainly don’t know how I could mom with out him. 🤷🏼‍♀️ • • This guy 1) said yes to me racing on short notice 2) rearranged his run schedule 3) got two toddlers up and out the door EARLY 4) Sherpa-Ed my gear around and 5) cheered me on this past Saturday. He is my number one fan for sure. I wish I had a picture of this man when I cam around to the finish line. He had one kid on his shoulders, another on his hip, was taking a picture and cheering all at the same time.
