Day 39/50 • ⭐️Depth Drops/Jumps⭐️ • 📝 In order to improve your athletic performance, you must increase your explosive power so that you can produce as much force in as little time as possible! • 🏋🏻‍♂️ Depth Jumps involve stepping off an elevated box, landing on the ground and immediately exploding up into a jump. This sequence enhances the stretch-shortening cycle, a process that occurs in your muscles to create power. When you land on the ground, your muscles absorb the force and turn it into elastic energy. Then they go through a transition period, known as amortization, before explosively contracting to propel you into a jump. • ❌ Depth Drops/Jumps should only be done by advanced lifters. My 6 pack is starting to come in. For some reason, I think my abs is going to show more than other parts of my body. First time I ever had abs like this and at 9 weeks out. The first two weeks on #teambrandt I did have weekly cheat meals. I stopped after when @deanbrandt365 told me be careful as it sets me back a couple of days. I no longer have ANY cheat meals. Another core trifecta. The Swiss ball I’m using has sand in it so it’s heavier; but you can use a med ball or regular Swiss ball. ➡️Sit-up: looks like a regular sit up but try bending one leg and squeezing into ball as you roll up. ➡️side oblique crunch; easier to@stay balanced if you put your feet against a wall. Big range of motion on this one makes all the difference! ➡️jack knife: squeeze the ball with ankles keep neutral spine as lowering to floor.
