Here is this morning’s work out! When my knees are feelin’ ok, I like to take advantage of it. This work out was killer! A little under 50 minutes and about 430 cals burned. The last video of this post is a super raw and real video that I chose to upload 🤷🏼‍♀️ I started at 10 but forgot to hit record so the video shows 8! I do 8 seated squat jumps - 8 burpees, then 7, then 6, and so on. I’m doing this at the end of EVERY workout starting now. It’s a nice end-of-your-workout burner! I’m going to start focusing on FOOD now. 3rd set x 135lbs Heavy curls for me, trying to learn to do some “cheat curls” to handle that heavier weight. ———— The forward lean at the beginning is actually safe as long as you don’t round the back. . My last 3 reps you see can definitely be dangerous to straining your back if you’re not careful. This was my third set, I was wearing the back brace, and I was very consciously aware of the possibly of a strain. Even with a 500lbs deadlift swinging 135 when you’re tried can be risky so always be aware. Arms has always been a struggling point for me in terms of growth. I’ve tried more ways I could count to try and get them to grow... ▫️ One of the few things I adjusted in my training in order to see some growth in my arms: ▫️ - More volume/intensity in my arm training. Filling the muscle with as much blood as I can in a short amount of time. ▫️ -slowing the set down and feeling the eccentric/concentric as much as possible. Squeezing till you feel cramp mentality. ▫️ -super-setting/ drop setting the exercises to intensify the workout and pump. ▫️ In terms of training the most important thing you can do is perfect your form and mind muscle connection before worrying about anything else. Another successful arm day! Went with 5 pounds heavier weight than I usually use, and really got that burn in 🔥. •First we have seated dumbbell curls, 3 sets of 8 reps. •second is dumbbell plate curl, 3 sets of 10 reps. •third is standing dumbbell plate curls. •fourth is tricep pushdowns, 3 sets of 10 reps. • fifth is tricep extensions, 3 sets of 10-12 reps • sixth is tricep dips, 3 sets of 10-15 reps. -Now I go with adding the heavier weight as I go to really tear into my muscles so they can rebuild themselves once I rest outside the gym, it’s the best way to bulk up and gain muscle 💪. #muscle #buildingmuscle #physical #exercise #bulking #bulkingup #bulkseason #armday #arms #biceps #triceps #fitness #lafitness #determination #lifestyle #shredding #success PC @teagannblythe

#muscletipmonday 💪🏻 The anterior portion of the upper arm is typically only associated with the bicep brachii muscle(BB). However, much more should be considered during your next arm day. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 The BB consist of 2 muscular heads, a long head and a short head (bicep- “two-headed”, Brachii- referring to anatomical location “upper arm”). The proximal attachments differ between each with their distal attachments joining together. The long head originates at the supraglenoid tubercle of scapula, and the short head at the coracoid process of scapula. They both insert at the radial tuberosity of the radius (forearm bone). These proximal and distal attachments are important in determining movement associated with this muscle. First, and most important, is supination of the forearm (turning palm to the sky). Secondly, and most commonly associated by most, is flexion of forearm about the elbow. Thirdly, and rarely thought, is flexion about the shoulder. This means the BB moves 2 joints!! So to optimize contraction of BB, you must supinate the forearm and slightly flex the shoulder during elbow flexion! Flexion of the shoulder can be done during elbow flexion or at the end of elbow flexion. Very important is to keep shoulder flexion at less that 25-30 degree in order to not incorporate major shoulder flexors! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 Now to the brachialis muscle! This muscle is insanely important to develop your anterior upper arm! It’s proximal attachment is mid/distal shaft of humerus, and it’s distal attachment is coronoid process/ulnar tuberosity of the Ulna! This means this muscle Is not involved in forearm supination due to no attachment on the radius!! It is the MAJOR flexor of the forearm about the elbow!
