Leg strength: DELOAD Back Squat (5,5,5,3,3): 105, 115, 125, 135, 145 Deadlift (4x5): 135 Bulgarian split squat (3x5 each): 55 Landmine squat (3x5 each): 45 Ham curls (3x5 each): 45 Single leg calf raises (2x5 + 10 on both feet): BW and barefoot I definitely found my weak spots with this workout: hamstrings and feet. The last two exercises were still hard even with half the weight and reps. Looks like I know what I need to work on! I never thought that I’d want to compete in bodybuilding ever. I never thought I’d actually love everything involving it. I never thought I’d go through the process and fall short the first time around. I never thought I’d pursue this as hard as I am. Life comes at you fast and can change instantly then boom 💢... You’re doing things you never once thought about doing. In a place you never once thought about being mentally and physically. At one point I had it in my mind I’d be playing baseball my whole life. There is no blueprint to life we all know that. But 2019 I plan on making sure that stage is where I’ll be and executing everything top to bottom. Vegan jammy shortbread hearts ❤️ Trying to eat more carbs atm to help speed up the recovery of my stress fracture as this is meant to help. Put on a few LBs this week due to the amount of wraps, pita breads and cake I’m having to eat and struggling to come to terms with looking bigger 😩 . Twinnie came round today and I had to change my top 3x because I thought I looked fat in every top - I know I’m not fat but I’m bigger than I usually am and what I feel comfortable with. . . BUT there's a lot that goes into this answer, see below!⠀ ___________________________________________________⠀ If you avoid carbs can it help you lose fat? ⠀ ⠀ 1️⃣YES! As long as you don't replace those carbs with other food (AKA ENERGY).⠀ ⠀ 2️⃣YES (well, probably) since most "carbs" you avoid may be in the form of processed foods that are CALORICALLY DENSE and lowly satiating (aka HIGH ENERGY and NOT FILLING)!⠀ _____________________________________________________⠀ If you are an athlete and you want to lose fat, should you drop carbs?⠀ ⠀ 🛎️NO! Carbs are the FUEL your muscles RELY ON to perform high-intensity activity. Upper Body Warm Up - Core, chest, lats, shoulder, scaps, & tri's activation. Start on elbows, extend arm laterally/overhead, go as low as your body lets you, quickly slide hand back as a reflex, and go into a 1 arm push up. Intermediate level exercise & great progression to 1 arm push ups, and touches a progression towards planche, and lever holds. On top of that, the hand reflex move promotes optimal push up technique.
