Started the 21 Day Fix! Right after completing my 4 mile run. Day 1 Total Body Cardio. I’ve always loved the workouts on Beach Body on Demand, and I’m definitely burning up a sweat with Autumn Calabrese as the trainer. This exercise was one of my favorites to do. So I took a 2 week break from working out. The first week was medical. To help my knee and see if I could make it some what better. The second week though was all me. Before this all happened I was working out everyday. Not always scheduled sometimes right before midnight, but I did it. I hit play and got my workouts in. It was a addiction. But then I finally gave up on my knee and took a week off then couldn’t get myself to start back up. I had every excuse I could think of. I can tell a difference in my body already and I don’t like it. But tonight I was talking myself out of it again, except I didn’t allow it to happen. I got my workout in. I feel so much better after getting it done. All I have to do is hit play on my phone and my whole demeanor changes. Hit play, do something for yourself. OMG who is this person that sits before me today! . . I woke up -> Ate breakfast 70+ superfoods & a banana with a teaspoon of Nutzo butter & water -> 2-3hrs later yogurt & fruit & more water -> Ate lunch 2-3 hrs later cucumber & snap peas along with a small sandwich & some more water -> 2-3hrs later banana (otherwise I would have reached for the chips) and -> 2-3hrs later Ate dinner angel hair pasta cooked in olive oil, red pepper flakes, kalabase sausage with garlic bread-> 2-3 hrs later a healthy snack bar... -> Got my supplements and workout in -->Which brings me to the end of the day going to get in at least 7hrs of sleep and end the day successful! How did you end your day today??? . . It's crazy how the moment you decide to make a change in your eating habits it all comes together..... I know its sounds cheezy but being prepared is 90% of the battle. When your prepared you are more apt to stay on track, implement those healthy habits, reach for those healthy snacks, ultimately eliminate those bad food choices, which leads to those cravings diminishing and you will end up replacing those bad food choice one at a time. . . When you put more of those healthy foods into your body you will eventually shut out the bad food, bad habits and those bad cravings. My first official Portion fix round complete 🙌🏽. Here’s my experience. I kept it 90/100 I went with the maintenance meal plan and enjoyed a few occasional treat meals ( not days) just a meal here there. There was chipotle and churro night with my church, a garlic noodle situation with the besties, a bowl of Cheerios , and b day cake with the niece. Point is, the meal plan was flexible enough to where I wasn’t feeling deprived or feeling like I had to binge or over indulge. I ate the meals, didn’t starve and got Results. I didn’t realize I needed this until I felt and started seeing a difference after about a week and half into it. I was already convinced that my tighter core/ baby abs were left in my 30’s 😂 and almost settled with being uncomfortable as my new “normal”. But then I had to have a conversation with myself like “girl, are you really trying ? are you really going all in with your nutrition?🤔 “ and in most cases the answer was nah and “balance” and by balance I mean 80/20 in reverse lol. We’ve all heard this and it’s 1000% accurate, #absaremadeinkitchen To sum it up, what portion fix or any of the fix programs are about; Cleaner eating , PORTION CONTROL using the colored containers, (this is where I fell short) Different meals plans depending on your goals. Personalized macronutrients. The nutrition videos give you the why’s behind the method and why certain foods and why not others, she covers Sugar addiction, what macronutrients are, and provides amazing over all tools to have to live a happy ,healthy, well rounded life. Its not a “Eat this and not that and good luck”type of program. The great news is !! The journey doesn’t end at 21 days, the habit has been implemented and I'm back to a healthier way of eating. Most days I can get up and push play first thing in the morning - something I NEVER thought I’d be able to do. I’m not a morning person and the thought of waking up early to workout made me cringe😣. Then I found myself talking through a slew of excuses on my drive home in the first week I started working out last January. I knew I wanted to make a permanent change and it wasn’t going to happen if I didn’t put in the effort. I can tell you now - morning workouts are the BEST! You can check it off your list, and feel the work put in all day. Today wasn’t a day I got up and got it done, but because of my consistency I came home and pushed play. Thankful for online workouts I can do anywhere... anytime! #nevermissamonday

A few weeks ago, during tech week for my show, I was eating complete garbage. Like, Dunkin Donuts for breakfast, McDonald’s for lunch, and gas station candy for dinner. And I actually lost about ten pounds. . Now, at first, I’ll admit that was kind of exciting to see. But I also FELT like garbage. I was already run down from lack of sleep, so not giving my body the proper fuel it needed to function debilitated me further. Tech week was proof that, yes, you can “eat whatever you want” in low quantities and lose weight. But that mentality won’t set you up for long term success. . After tech week, I got back into my usual meal planning and prepping. And I’m proud to say that I am now getting certified in Portion Fix, Beachbody’s nutritional program. This is the meal plan I have been following for the past three years - I believe in it so whole-heartedly. It provides the structure for you to follow your health goals (weight loss, muscle gain, increase energy, etc.) while giving you the freedom to follow your beliefs (vegan, vegetarian, grain-free, etc.). . My April/May challenge group will be heavily focused on nutrition - we are going to dive deep into WHY we reach for the foods we do (hint: sugar addiction and emotional eating are big players!) and HOW we can repair our relationship with food. Monday Motivation! I found a pair of size 10 pants and thought “hmm maybe… maybe I can get it over my thigh” tried them on and BAM up my thigh and over my butt, buttoned up and no muffin top!! Last year at this time I was just starting out. I was sweating in the warm ups and exhausted 5 minutes in. I was getting ready for spring and had my one pair of trusty jean capris with holes that were stylish at one point, but had been worn so much that they were just trash I kept those capris as a reminder of how far I have come and how hard I worked! From size 16-18 to size 10 and I am so grateful for a program that worked, that didn’t starve me and that got me through some of my darkest days. Today was the day. I finally started day 1 of #80do and it made me so glad I did a little obsessed before. I never would've thought I would be getting through a 60 minute workout, but I did, and I'm so grateful for the modifiers. When I was finished, I was only at 5400 steps for the day, so I pushed through and did some extra cardio. My Fitbit report card came through and I'm so happy that I reach my goals every single day last week. Guess who's back! After spending nearly a month off from working out due to a back injury, I'm finally able to jump back in. Definitely taking it slow and much lower weights - only did 1 round of Total Body Core today, but I feel really good about it. Worked up a good sweat and definitely felt my muscles working. One thing I've definitely learned on this fitness journey is to listen to my body and dont try to force myself to be what someone says I need to be. Setting goals and striving to reach them are definitely a big part of the plan, but taking the time to reach them safely and in ways that my body can handle is also majorly important. Everyone's journey will be unique and that is awesome to me!

Been alittle MIA lately with my workouts. I lifted too heavy a couple weeks ago and it put strain on my back and sciatica. With a previous lower back injury I have to be extra careful if im not feeling 100% and I know not to push myself. Plus with the house coming along fast I’ve been busy doing stuff for that. So I decided to pause 80DO and do LIIFT4 for now. This way I can still workout, they’re not as long, and I can move them around if I have something else going on. Monday can suck, it can be good and it can be FANTASTIC...make monday your bitch. Show her a thing or two.... I was so excited today as I finished week 1 of #ultimateportionfix and I am down 5. 2 lbs!!!! I was never hungry, in fact I was full after every meal. I am not 100% with eating all my containers so I have to get them all in, but so excited to see how this journey goes. I feel stronger, healthier sleeping a little better but thats attributed to pain in my hands, but getting that taken care of Friday...going under the knife. Right hand first then the left in a few months. Same day, two different workouts...all on my computer in my house. The one on the left was this morning and was an hour of weights and booty building. The one on the left was 20 minutes of non stop cardio. Both left me sweaty and feeling fantastic. 🌸 I’M BACK🌸 It’s been a rough few months. I had surgery at the end of last year, haven’t been able to work out and I let my nutrition slip big time. Minimal/no exercise + poor nutrition = well you can guess 👎🏻 Now with the release of Beachbody’s newest nutrition program, the ULTIMATE Portion Fix, I am getting my butt in gear to get back on track. 4 years ago I started my journey after ordering 21 Day Fix off of an infomercial when I was up feeding my baby, Grace, in the middle of the night. I was constantly exhausted, very out of shape, and starting to get depressed. This program changed my life once and I am SO excited to start the next part of my journey (Jackie’s Journey 2.0 😂) with the Ultimate Portion Fix!! But the 21 Day Fix program wasn’t my only lifesaver. Along the way I met my coach who led me to my AMAZING team!! These men and women taught me that it’s more important to feel amazing than it is to worry about the stupid number on the scale (that thing lies A LOT 😉). I learned that my worth is not determined by that number and I am SO much more than my size!! I have seen people go out of their way to lift others up when they needed it the most. So many lives have been changed because these men and women made a decision to share their stories and invite others to better themselves. I am proud to call every one of them my friend (even though I’ve never even met them in person 😊) Although my journey has not been perfect, it is mine and it has been a learning experience to say the least. This program (and my team) has changed my life before and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead this time!! My hope is that this new program brings that spark back that I experienced 4 years ago in the hopes that I can inspire at least one person to start their journey ❤️

I got to meal prep over the weekend. I got the recipes from “The Ultimate Portion Fix”. (also fixate cooking show on BOD)✨I made “must have”meat loaf , baby red potatoes & broccoli. The containers help with what you should be eating at a time. ✨I personally thought the containers would be small but as you can see (swipe right) after the food is packed in the containers it’s a lot of food. ✨The red container is for protein, green is for vegetables & yellow is for carbs. ✨I am personally no chef & everything was so easy to make & delicious. Prep Week started today!!! I’m getting prepared for Day 1 of the remake of 21 Day Fix on April 1!!! So, I wanted to get back to using weights to help me get ready. Today I started @autumncalabrese A Little More Obsessed, and oh my goodness, I.AM.SORE!!! But, I know that I need to be prepared to use weights again next week, so I switched up my workout this week so that I can ease back into using weights. This is what I love about Beachbody. I can choose from different programs based on what I want to focus on. When I would workout at the gym, I felt lost with all the machines and different options. I knew I wanted to avoid muscle memory or over working one muscle, but I just would kinda look at the machines and guess. So, working out at home with Beachbody instructors planning out my workouts is what is best for me!!! Countdown to 21 Day Fix remake has started and I am so excited!!! J'ai perdu 4 livres en 9 jours! Pas que j'en avais à perdre mais je voulais tester la perte que je pouvais avoir en adoptant ce mode alimentaire combiné à l'exercice physique, très concluant comme résultat! - - Mais au delà de la perte de poids. Ce mode alimentaire m'a donné un sentiment de légèreté! Pas de sentiment de ventre gonflé, de ballonnements ou de trop plein que l'on ressent parfois lorsque l'on fini de manger. 😜 - - Augmentation de mon niveau d'énergie! Aussi, pas de sentiment de fatigue et sentiment d'être amorphe après les repas! 🙂 - - Malgré que je mangeais pour perte de poids je ne me suis pas sentie affamé. Quelques fois j'ai eu un sentiment de faim et j'ai pu mangé un petit quelque chose pour le combler sans déroger de mon programme! (ils nous laissent pas mourir de faim 🤪) - - Ce qui est plaisant aussi avec ce programme est que nous pouvons nous permettre des gâteries! Ce que j'ai fait en fin de semaine, mais savez vous quoi??? - - Je ne suis pas parfaite. J'ai triché en fin de semaine mais trop par rapport à ce qui est permis.
