This is for sure a #tbt from possibly 1992??? It was my number one goal in high school to earn a full ride to play volleyball in college. I definitely did not have #balance at that point in my life. I was constantly training, traveling for tournaments, and pushing to earn this scholarship. Even though you see a happy smiling face, there was so much more hurting inside of me. This is the beginning of damaging my gut from the inside with the severe eating disorder. It pretty much lasted my entire college career. And only a few people knew about it as I was trying to recover from it my senior year. It’s reared its ugly head now and again, but it’s a reminder of where I never want to be again and how much I value my health. it’s weird to say this, butI am #grateful that I had this experience in my life. I definitely would not be in the place that I am today, and able to share what I’ve learned from that experience. I know what I want to feel from the inside out moving forward. I let go of having that number on the scale rule my self worth. I’ve let go of trying to keep up with what society thinks and looks for in a female body. I’ve embraced that my body will forever be evolving as I get older. Almost 4 years ago now, I really began to pay attention to my health. I’ve incorporated some different workouts, better superfood nutrition, and started paying attention to how my gut felt. I’ve struggled with digestive issues, acid reflux issues, and well I’ve said this in the past, constipation🙈💩. I’m also sure that my past eating disorder amplified what was going my with my health. I want to say thank you to the incredible #community that has been the greatest gift. If you’re silently struggling with an eating disorder, please take that step to ask for help. Dinner is jacket spuds & tuna with cucumber mayo! 602 calories for the whole of this but I didn’t eat it all so counting it as 550 calories!👌🏻

What is intuitive eating? It’s not about eating all the crap that you’re craving. It’s about feeding your body what it needs. People often tell me that intuitive eating doesn’t “work” for them because they have tried it and gained weight. This is usually because of mindless eating. In order to get all the benefits of intuitive eating, you have to eat mindfully. Here are a few tips how to get started with intutitive eating? 1) Eat regularly and start your day with a healthy breakfast. A healthy breakfast will keep your energy levels up and will set the tone for the day. Eat 3-5 meals per day to make sure you are not starving yourself, this is usually when you start making poor nutrition choices because your blood sugar levels are too low. 2) Ask yourself: Am I hungry? If you ate your meal but are still feeling like you need something “sweet” or if you are craving some fast food immediately after eating, there is probably some emotional need that remains unfulfilled and it is not really hunger. What seems to work great for me is thinking ok if I am still hungry, should I get a second helping of whatever I was eating? If the answer is no, then I know that food is not the issue. 3) Don’t repress your feelings. We are working so hard to avoid feeling bad/sad/unhappy etc. But really you have to feel the feelings to actually heal them. So often food is the tool to avoid feelings but it is not effective or healthy. Whatever you repress stays inside and all you do is keep throwing food at it whenever it comes bubbling back to the surface. 4) Eat mindfully. Not in front of the tv, computer or iPad. Take time to eat and enjoy your food. We need to START! • Body positivity doesn’t mean we have to just be happy with where we are and not work towards the mental image we have of ourselves that we’d like to achieve. It means to love and appreciate our bodies THROUGH the process and work to take care of them to the best of our ability. • It’s our responsibility to take care of these bodies we’ve been gifted because they’re a lease...we don’t get to keep them. • So for the person reading this needing a kick in the pants to get started...here ya go 🦵 • Just know you have support and don’t have to go it alone 😊

Read it again. Let it resonate. Do you know how many times someone has said to me, “Becky, I love your posts,and I’d like to get in better shape. I just can’t do what you do.” I’m here to tell you that you can! I do a 30 minute workout, and I eat real food. Is much of it healthy? Sure, but it’s delicious too! I also eat cupcakes, mac and cheese and I love the turtle pecan blizzards from DQ. 😋 ... I don’t deny myself. I am far from perfect. I don’t have six pack abs or a perfect body. I am healthy and fit, and happy for that matter. ... So, whatever it is that you want to change-your body, your job, your relationship, your study habits, whatever! Get out of the comfort zone, toss the excuses out the window and do it! Not everyone will be supportive and not everyone will understand because even positive change is hard. Don’t get discouraged. In the end, you will be happier and you will be an inspiration to someone else. 💕

Are you using not having enough time as an excuse? - Time comes to those who MAKE it, not those who try to find it - We all have the same 24 hours in a day. Have you ever wonder how come some people can go to school full time with 2 part time jobs and still manage to go to the gym and work towards the fitness goals? This is because they MAKE the time for it. It all depends on how you prioritize your time. Put health and fitness one of your top priorities and make the time for it. - I started my fitness journey when I was working part time and going to school full time. How did I do it? I make the time to prepare my food and go to the gym. I woke up early and get my workout in everyday at 5am and meal prep every Sunday. Was it easy? Definitely NO. Was it worth it? HELL YES - I would not be where I am now if I didn’t make the time to improve my health/ fitness. So if you are someone who keep telling yourself you can’t find the time to work on your health/fitness, you are actually just making excuses to not step out of your comfort zone - My biggest tip when it comes to making time is planning your week in advance. Good morning 😃 & #happythursday! As I sit here drinking my coffee, I’m thinking about how I am doing a 21 day workout program that is slowly turning into a 30 day program!😂🤷🏼‍♀️ but, ITS OKAY! The most important thing about B A L A N C E is listening to your body! If you need a break, take it! I am all for challenging and pushing myself, but also focused on not feeling guilty if I skip a day! It is common to have that “I SHOULD be workout out or doing this” way of thinking, but it doesn’t serve us! #throwbackthursday to my honeymoon in Mexico! We got to visit Mayan ruins and enjoy the nice weather ☀️ ...while I currently make another cup of coffee and wrap in my blanket to survive another Kansas winter 🥶 But! I just booked a cruise to the Bahamas and visiting places where you wear less clothing is a great motivator to work on your body’s Heath and fitness! Sitting in a pub on my own eating a huge burger..... and loving it.💁🏼‍♀️ . . 10 years ago there would have been NO WAY I would have the confidence to sit alone let alone eat a huge burger. I wouldn't have had the confidence and in my head, everyone would have been staring and making comments about me eating alone and stuffing my face. . . The truth is..... NO ONE CARES, no one even notices and when they do, your just sat eating dinner or they are looking at you thinking I WISH I HAD HER CONFIDENCE. . . Don't worry so much about what other people think, the people you need to surround yourself with will praise and support you, anyone else really doesn't matter and you don't need them and their negativity. . . Oh and yes, I enjoyed the burger, it was tasty a.f and I don't feel any guilt what so ever and I won't be weighing myself to see the "damage". 🍔🍟

I used to say.. I would never know what to do in the gym I would never workout on vacation I would never understand nutrition I would never understand what “bulking” and “cutting” really meant I would never be able to add in other things with my busy work schedule I would never have my own passions . I had accepted where I was in life with my health, fitness, and career: stable, but not going anywhere. . That was fine with me... until it wasn’t. . It was some random night this past Spring, while watching Law & Order SVU of course, that I finally reached a level of frustration with not knowing what I was doing or why. . I was fed up with trying to follow everyone else’s program and advice and expecting it to “just work.” Because it wasn’t. . I had no idea what my end goal was but I knew that if I wanted to see any change I had to do it myself. . 🔹I spent countless hours researching nutrition, macros, and supplements 🔹I taught myself macro counting and built my own calculator because those online ones are scrappy 🔹I researched fitness programming and started testing out what my body responded best to and what kept me engaged . In 6 months I had gone from knowing NOTHING and having NO goals to seeing considerable changes in my physique, feeling confident in the gym, excited for workouts, and a guru on macros. . ✨I’m still learning every single day about how to be better for myself & my clients. ✨I have found a passion for helping others to become empowered in their bodies & careers ✨I am launching my own business in the spring with 1:1 and group coaching & feel confident about it ✨ I work out consistently (even on vacation) because I fricken’ love it. . It’s a freeing feeling to have the resources and tools at your fingertips to go crush your goals, but you don’t have to go about it alone like I did and spend MONTHS reading up. . I am here as a resource for you to do better for yourself - to dive into a personalized program for YOUR needs & to learn the reason WHY behind the workouts and nutrition. You deserve to be the guru too!

#10yearschallenge I cannot believe the difference. What a great way to #tbt✨ . . When I see myself on the left I am actually grateful. Why you ask , because if I didn’t go through that season of my life I would never have known what it was going to take to be who I am today. . . I am so grateful , it helped me learn and find out what I am capable of. That I am worthy and I am just beginning. Everyday I am learning New things , new challenges and do I fail , heck yah. Sometimes I fall flat on on my butt, but what I have learned is to not give up . Keep going , until I find the right answer , the right path. . . Do I still eat emotionally ? Sometimes, but I have become aware of those triggers and they happen very rarely. . . I have learned to love food and use it to fuel my body NOT use it as an emotional crutch. . . I think one of the best things I have learned is that my self confidence has grown so much that I’m not afraid to talk to people I don’t know. I no longer hide in the corner, I embrace who I am and cannot wait to see who I will become in the next 10 years !! . . Isn’t that exciting 😁 I’m not afraid to get older I love it and I love myself too ❤️

This is something I feel like I have to constantly remind myself – I can’t save people. I can only LOVE them. • Growing up, I was absolutely the girl that wanted to save people. Particularly the boys I dated throughout my life. One of my previous coworkers described it as “the broken bird syndrome” – I wanted to take all the broken birds home with me and heal them. My self-worth was reflected in my ability to “fix” them. And they would be forever grateful and faithful because I marked the turning point in their lives, the one that loved so deeply and so hard that I conquered their pain. My belief in this lie led me through many relationships resulting in exactly the opposite: feelings of inadequacy, low self-esteem and eventually, heartbreak that would inevitably throw me into a self-destructive spiral. • It wasn’t until I started healing myself through a long stint of self-imposed singleness and a series of solo road trip adventures that I began seeing my true value. And I began to see that the power of the love I had to give was only as strong as the love I had for myself. This wasn’t about setting high standards. This was about recognizing my inability to help someone that didn’t want to help themselves. And recognizing that I can love someone while still protecting myself. • This is a lesson that I have applied across my life, in both romantic relationships and friendships. Being empathetic is a positive thing – I think the world would be a better place if there were more empathy. But the empathy has to be balanced with self love. Everything I do, I do it for them💜. . They are the reason I show up every single day ,to better myself. Not only to take care of health but also show up to my business every day even when it isn’t doing the best I still show up everyday. I don’t ever want to show my kids what giving up looks like so even on days I just wanna give up Iam going to look at this picture smile and tell myself I’ve got this they deserve this! This Momma is gonna hustle.. Results don’t happen overnight, and either does being successful you have to work for it. Put in the time and effort. I know what it’s like living pay check to pay check worrying about if my card will get declined because I don’t think I have enough to pay for groceries or not having enough money to put gas in my car I’ve lived that life and let’s just say I will never go back! I love what I do and I’m going to continue taking care of myself and show up to my business even when I don’t want to or shit is hard! Life is hard babe.. . We got this!
