“But won’t my breasts shrink?”🤔 One misconception about the bench press/ chest exercises that I find many women have, is their breasts shrinking, or “turning into manly pecs”. THIS IS FALSE!! . ❗️It is important to train chest because: . 1) It leads to better posture. -> If you neglect chest, it will lead to muscle imbalances, resulting in bad posture. . 2) It increases overall upper body strength. ->The bench press is a compound movement, meaning you are using more than one muscle to perform the lift. Not only are your chest muscles (pectoralis major) being utilized, but you are also activating your tricep muscles (triceps brachii). . 3) Burns calories! . . . There is no such thing as ‘chest exercises for men’ or ‘chest exercises for women’. Train your chest muscles like you would train any other muscle, for 3-5 sets to 8-12 reps (depending on your fitness goals). . . BACK TO WORK! After the not so good display of Strength at Nevada’s Strongest Man I realized that I need so much more work. I simply wasn’t strong enough to do well. @mrwebb78 is an amazing StrongMan Coach and showed me everything I needed to do And we did what we could in the short time we had. I simply wasn’t strong enough. So here I am doing what I get to do, work hard and get stronger. Now I am getting ready for February’s Pacific Coast Open.
