"I was almost a year postpartum with my second child and still had not lost the baby weight. Well to be honest I never lost it from my first either. I had the mindset that I would never be able to fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes comfortably again. I had tried many different programs and DVDs but always got discouraged and quit about a month in after seeing no results. Even though this program intimidated me I saw the amazing results other women were experiencing and gave it a go. Well by the time I was a month in I already had other people commenting on how good I was looking and noticing that I had lost weight. I succeeded because it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle change. I’ve never felt deprived of food. Actually those around me are surprised at how much I do eat. I stopped eating the low calorie foods that I thought were good choices, and focused on whole food nutrition. I’ve gained my confidence back that I haven’t had since having my first child almost 4 years ago, I’ve lost multiple inches, I have more energy (allowing me to be a better mom), I’m fitting into sizes I haven’t worn since before my first child, and my complexion is better. With intermittent fasting paired with the nutrition I’m avoiding thyroid issues that run in my family, and regulating my blood sugar levels better (I haven’t had any low blood sugar episodes for 6 weeks). The daily support and advice given in the Facebook group has been so helpful and the reason for my success. I am signed up for my second round and excited to continue to see results!"

“I’m too tired.” “I have no energy.” “I had a long day.” . . Any of these sound familiar to you? I used these excuses ALL THE TIME! Day after day, I’d wake up and tell myself that I’d healthy all day AND work out after school. It’d probably be easier to count the times that it actually happened than the times it didn’t. Day after day I’d come hike from a long day at work, think about going to the gym but then end up laying on the couch looking at my phone. . . . BUT not anymore! Not only do I have the support and accountability of my team but I also have my super juice 🙌🏼 It gives me the energy to get it done! It gives me the energy to push harder. T H O U G H T S 💭 This little trip to @devere_hotels Wotton House a few weeks back came at a time when I felt we really needed it. A night away is a nice way to practice a little self-care but I’m realising a lot at the moment that actually the ultimate act of self-care is looking at how we talk to ourselves. ✨ This morning I felt I needed some self-love and with my rose quartz from @365pearlsofwisdom by my side I did a meditation about practicing kindness towards ourself by @sarahfinds on the @insight app. During and after this I realised that I’ve been quite hard on myself this week. Beating myself up about things I can control and things I can’t. Once upon a time I wouldn’t have even really consciously noticed thoughts like this yet they’d be there shouting at me loud and clear and they’d drag me down and cause me to turn to unhelpful habits. The thoughts from this week have had the potential to do that. ✨ Thanks to my little ‘happy habits’ as I call them I can call upon certain tools to get me out the funk and start to practice a bit more kindness and that’s where my journal comes in. ✨ A few weeks back I said I’d do a blog post about my recent experience with journaling but I’ve decided to do it as a video instead so I’ll get that filmed this weekend. People think I mourn weird. I rarely cry. And they think it’s going to “happen later” or that I’m “bottling it up” but I’m not. I just am realistic and I can feel sad without crying and I can be mad without lashing out. .. The thing is, I don’t want to take any of the time I have or my gifts and talents for granted. Whether I get 30 years or 130 years on this planet I want to make the most of each and every one of them. .. Sitting around and crying or complaining makes me feel like I’m wasting my time and I know that’s not what my dad or anyone else would have wanted me to do. .. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with emotions or mourning in any specific way, but for me I use it as a reminder that life is precious and can be short. And I get to choose how I spend that time. .. I have so much to learn and to share, I don’t plan on wasting an ounce of abilities and settling for anything less than remarkable in this life. .. Can we all just say no more to going through the motions, monotony, being miserable, and settling for less than our best? Amen 🙏🏻

"When you feel like quitting, remember WHY you started." Any endeavor worth undertaking is going to come with its fair share of challenges. It's going to test you to your very core. It doesn't matter if you are trying to improve your health, launch a home business, run your first marathon, write a book, build a non-profit, .... there will come a point where you will experience varying degrees of stress and anxiety... A time where you will feel overwhelmed, maybe even defeated. It takes more time than you ever expected... It takes more money than what you planned for... You start to wonder if you're qualified, if you have what it takes... the mental stamina... time... money... support... You start to wonder if you will ever reach your goal and if you should keep going or just QUIT! That is when you are on the cusp of real change, real breakthroughs... That is when you need to STOP and remind yourself WHY you got started in the first place... You want to REALLY be there for your kids, with energy and joy! You want to keep up with them as they grow, dance at your daughter's wedding, play all day with your grandkids.... You want to make a positive difference in the world, change lives for the better, bring clean water where there is none, teach young girls skills that will lift them out of poverty....
