Exhibitor for BWBAWARDS business conference. *Sheer Chemistry* ************************************************************* Founded by Tahlia Gray, Sheer Chemistry is an empowering hosiery brand, driven by a mission to create a more diverse perception of beauty. As a young professional living in New York, she became frustrated by her inability to find tights to match her skin tone during a blisteringly cold winter. Dissatisfied with the lack of options on the market, and tired of alternating between black opaque tights and beige coloured tones labelled ‘nude’, Sheer Chemistry was established to create tights for women of all shades of brown. Designed for ambitious, radiant and confident women who want tights to seamlessly complement their fashion choices, we’re dedicated to creating quality products that empower you to feel confident and gorgeous in your own skin. With shades inspired by Tahlia’s own intrepid adventures around the world, we now give you the opportunity to find your perfect match. #blackwomeninbusinessawards #bwbawards #blackwomenprofessionals #businesswoman #business #womenprofessionals #entrepreneur #blackwomenbusinesses #awards #blackbusinesswoman #africancaribbeanprofessionals #africanwomenbusinesses #caribbeanwomenbusinesses #blackbusinesses #blackbusiness #blackprofessionals #caribbeanprofessionals #africanbusiness #caribbeanbusiness #blackevents #ukblackbusiness #ukwomenbusinesses #blackukbusiness #blackwomen #blackwomenukbusiness #blackwomenbusiness #blackevents #blackbusinessuk #blackexcellence #celebratiingexcellence

Food for thought! I have just been on the phone to my mum after few days of not speaking with her. The first thing she said was “you know I do not feel great when I don’t hear from you often.” I was quite taken by her words but it also made me realised how much am loved by Mum. Ofcourse we all know our parents love us. We are so busy in our lives that sometimes we forget to check on those who really matters most to us. When was the last time you checked on your parents? Do you speak with them on a regular basis or do they have to call and check on you? Appreciate them now that they are here as a time will come you would wish this time had lasted longer. Go on call your parents today. blackwomeninbusinessawards #bwbawards #blackwomenprofessionals #businesswoman #business #womenprofessionals #entrepreneur #blackwomenbusinesses #awards #blackbusinesswoman #africancaribbeanprofessionals #africanwomenbusinesses #caribbeanwomenbusinesses #blackbusinesses #blackbusiness #blackprofessionals #caribbeanprofessionals #africanbusiness #caribbeanbusiness #blackevents #ukblackbusiness #ukwomenbusinesses #blackukbusiness #blackwomen #blackwomenukbusiness #blackwomenbusiness #blackevents #blackbusinessuk #blackexcellence #celebratiingexcellence

Meet Ciara Sivels——————————————————— Ciara Sivels becomes the first Black woman to get her doctorate in Nuclear Engineering from University much of her life, Ciara Sivels had dreams of becoming a chef. Now she is the first Black woman to get a doctoral degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan. “I really had no idea (about engineering) until my junior year of high school,” Sivels said. “I had a teacher suggest I look into engineering because I had always been at good at chemistry and math, and I constantly excelled in all my classes.” Sivels attended Hickory High School in Chesapeake, Va. As a student, she was busy working to balance multiple Advanced Placement credits and after-school programs, such as her school’s Scholastic Bowl. She was also highly active within her church community. As senior year progressed, she started applying to different engineering schools. Though the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was her “reach school,” she was accepted. When she arrived at MIT, Sivels had a heavy background in chemistry. But one of her mentors suggested she look into the nuclear field as she became interested in energy, antimatter and the nonproliferation of nuclear weapons. #blackwomeninbusinessawards #bwbawards #blackwomenprofessionals #businesswoman #business #womenprofessionals #entrepreneur #blackwomenbusinesses #awards #blackbusinesswoman #africancaribbeanprofessionals #africanwomenbusinesses #caribbeanwomenbusinesses #blackbusinesses #blackbusiness #blackprofessionals #caribbeanprofessionals #africanbusiness #caribbeanbusiness #blackevents #ukblackbusiness #ukwomenbusinesses #blackukbusiness #blackwomen #blackwomenukbusiness #blackwomenbusiness #blackevents #blackbusinessuk #blackexcellence #celebratiingexcellence
