I'm an odd duck. Those that know me well will be fully aware 😝. . I struggle so much with #bodypositivity and #selflove but fully encourage it with a whole heart. . One thing I am very good at, despite this, is being true to myself. I may hate myself a lot most of the time, but its internal demons and not external pressure for me. So I cannot be pressed into dressing or fancying myself up as other people wish 😂. . Lots of girls like to press me for picking a nice outfit for work and "spoiling" it with trainers. I have annoying feet, I like to be comfy, tough 😂. I'll always do pretty much what I like with what i wear and not feel pressured to dress how others expect. . I don't wear makeup (ever, not kidding, can't be bothered 😝) and I keep my hair tidy but let it do what it wants, it will anyway regardless of how much I try to style it so why waste time 😁. . So I just wanted to say if you struggle with your image, you are not alone, we all know this, it doesn't always help. I find grabbing the part of you that you will not change for anyone, and fighting for it, is a good place to start your journey. . Its not easy and I'm still fighting every day. But i can tell you this much, I do it for me. When you try and take a journey like this for anyone else, it will be so much harder. . #lovetheskinyourin in the best way you can. I know I'm going to one day! I'm certainly closer than I've ever been before. 😘. . PS the more you tell me "don't get too muscley" the more likely I am to rebel and do more 😋 😂x. #selfimage #selfworth #myjourney #fitnessjourney #bodyimage #findingmyself #loveyourself #bekindtoyourself #stayindividual #beyourself #beyou #dressforme #idressformyself #dressformyself #personaljourney #illgetthere #believeinyourself #believeinyou #individual

“Self-kindness involves more than nearly stopping self-judgment. It involves actively comforting ourselves, responding just as we would to a dear friend in need. It means we allow ourselves to be emotionally moved by our own pain, stopping to say, ‘This is really difficult right now. How can I care for and comfort myself in this moment?’ With self-kindness, we soothe and calm our troubled minds. We make a peace offering of warmth, gentleness, and sympathy from ourselves to ourselves, so that true healing can occur.” -Kristin Neff 🖤

A few years ago I produced quite a few linocuts in this style, some not even printed. Lots of fun had doing these. #art #contemporaryartist #contemporaryart #lineart #figures #model #models #lifedrawing #fineart #shape #bodyimage #artist #britishartist #linocut #printmaking #print

Let me be transparent for a minute. At my fittest I weighed something like 135lbs, pretty much all muscle. After I stopped working out and not as eating clean, I now weigh 165lbs. I know weight doesn’t mean anything, especially when you’re trying to gain muscle so I never obsessively weighed myself. I don’t weigh myself that often now either, but I do know that my choice to stop working out and not thinking about what I ate as much has had me loosing muscle and gaining body fat. Frankly it’s hard for me to stay motivated with fitness and health no matter how hard I try. @beessbliss was a huge reason as to why I kept pushing myself, which I really appreciated, because she has a genuine and natural passion for it so she always stayed motivated. I have always loved fitness and getting into it, and really envy people who could “go hard” without burning out. It took a lot of self-discipline for me to workout consistently, and even when Blaise was motivating me I would sometimes only go to the gym because she wanted to. I also had massive thinking errors when I was at my fittest. I thought I still needed to tone up and get leaner and gain more muscle. Looking back I can not believe the way I used to think about myself. I do want to get back into fitness and I will, but when I do I know I need to be aware of my past flawed perspective and realize how hard I’m working and how far I’ve come. I was never really impressed with myself, I was looking at others and asking myself “why can’t I be at that level?” Not “look how far I come! Look how much progress I HAVE made!” Now I know. I have learned and I have grown. It is so easy to focus on the negative and as someone who struggles with managing my negative thoughts I know how hard it is to redirect them and look at the positive and to give yourself credit and kindness. My goal is just to forgive myself more and not focus on how my body looks, but get to a place where I mentally and physically feel good. . . . . . #transdad #transgender #transman #ftm #ftmtransgender #ftmtrans #ftmtransition #health #fitness #ftmfitness #ftmfit #fit #bodies #allbodiesaregoodbodies #allbodies #transparent #guys #mensfitness #bodyimage

Morning workout, and this was the bonus move at the end!! Lol, I am happy my pushups are improving 😉. Also, I still have baby weight to lose 😛, I am now 4 months postpartum and I have seen pictures of some women who have more than lost all their extra weight by now. This isn't how my body works and I'm ok with that. I focus on a healthy lifestyle in my state as a breastfeeding Mom, so I don't diet like crazy, but strive to eat healthy foods because my little girl is dependant on me! Furthermore, I am proud of how much stronger I have become and know that I will lose the extra weight in a healthy period of time if I stick with it!!! Postpartum is a hard time with body image for me, and I am sure many Moms, but I know we can't compare ourselves to others, just focus on being that little bit better/stronger than we were yesterday 💕. . #faithjoyathletics #faithandfitness #postpartum #momlife #selfimage #selfcare #confidence #bodyimage #progressnotperfection #strongereveryday #mentalstrength #madeingodsimage #postpartumbody

“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do. We own our stories so we don’t spend our lives being defined by them or denying them. And while the journey is long and difficult at times, it is the path to living a more wholehearted life.” -Brene Brown I love this picture SO much💞💞💞 You might ask why😬? I know I know...awful lighting, blurry, messy house, messy hair, not so great angle...but real life! I like keeping it real. For YEARS, Monday morning was Punishment for the weekend...restricting all week to blow it out on the weekend. Monday morning, the shame-guilt-punishment cycle began. I was stuck in this revolving door for YEARS!!! Today, on Monday mornings, this mama is present, leading by example, fueling her body like she loves herself, and is not only more compassionate and loving toward herself with her actions, thoughts and words but others 💕 My favorite part of this picture is my sweet girls face looking up at me. I want them to see a strong, fit, loving, compassionate, grace-filled mama that is excited about life! Finds JOY in the everyday moments and serves others! I promised that if I found a lifestyle that gave me those FREEDOMS, gave me the tools to take back my life, challenged me daily to be my BEST self, and a community that helps me to continue to grow into the person I was created to be, I would unapologetically share it with the world. The Comparison Game is a stealer of joy - and it has been a companion of mine for years. . Always wanting to be and look like someone else. . Always wanting someone else's success. . Always wanting that girl's wardrobe. . Always wanting the Pinterst perfect house. . Always wanting someone else's more upbeat and friendly personality. . Always wanting more. . It's hard to step away from a toxic mindset...It's something I struggle with on a daily basis! But I've reached a point in my life when enough is enough...I will NOT let the comparison game steal my joy anymore. . Will you?

I used to obsess with flawlessness. Must have a perfect body, perfect diet, perfect parenting, perfect marriage, perfect house. 🥇🏆 Obviously I was miserable 😂 None of that exists, but it is possible to feel JOY and PEACE in the imperfection of life. To feel and experience the highs and lows, the bliss and the heartache, and everything in between, in a state of peace, riding the roller coaster of life. Knowing the sun still shines, even behind the clouds.  I still feel every emotion - perhaps even more deeply than before, but I have a deep knowing within that it's all part of life. That's heart-centered living. ❤ And it all starts with complete self love and acceptance. ❤🤗 #perfectionist #anxiety #perfectionismisanxiety #selflove #loveistheanswer #meditate #emotionalhealth #mentalhealth #parenting #diet #lifegoals #peacefulparenting #bodyimage #loveistheanswer #affirmations #positiveselftalk #happykids #heal #healthy

I was spending time with a friend yesterday and we were processing both of our journeys with food and our bodies. She was staying at a beautiful Air BNB off of the ocean and as I looked out at the waves and thought about the last two years of my life, I thought to myself “I’m so thankful that I relapsed. . Two years ago, I was convinced that I had ruined my life. The deep, deep levels of shame I carried were suffocating. Why was I like this? Who could I confide in without having to deal with their judgments and frustrations? Would this be what kills me? Will I grow to be an old lady who still deals with bulimia and is afraid to enjoy food again? . I have so much compassion and gratitude for the girl I was two years ago. I can see and understand why she felt overwhelmed and embarrassed. I have empathy for the parts of her heart that longed to be seen and heard and loved. I’m so thankful that she didn’t give up and had the courage to come forward and ask for help, regardless of how long it took her to get here. . Relapsing was one of the best things that could have happened to me. I can look back with confidence in that statement. It forced me to look at and confront belief systems about food, my body, and the world around me that would have kept me in bondage. It invited me to pursue what unconditional love actually looks like. It showed me depths and aspects of God that would have never been experienced or explored otherwise. . The journey was hard. The pain felt unmanageable at times. But the reward and the victory was worth every teary night and painful step. . If you’re struggling, whether it’s with an eating disorder or not, know that no matter what how great the pain feels in the moment that God is still on your side. He’s still fighting for you every step of the way. He isn’t afraid or even surprised by your mistakes. Even on your worst day, God can’t get enough of you. 💜 . And a special thank you to those who walked that journey with me @jcearbaugh @rhemz @smittensimmons @johnnett777 #lindsaydeletedherinstagram

Say yes to the adventure, try the art class, go to the dinner party, pop into the art gallery, write the script, volunteer with the group... ☀️ Good morning Insta! * Valuable research is showing us that what we see and what we surround ourselves with impacts, not only our view of those around us, but how we view ourselves!! 🌺 "....after women are exposed to THINNER images of THEIR bodies, they judged EVERYTHING else they saw during the test as FATTER, and vice versa. When they looked at images of OTHER women's bodies, they then JUDGED their OWN DIFFERENTLY" * "In other words, what they got used to seeing all around them (in media) influenced their sense of their own bodies and other people's" * Michelle Lelwica, "The Religion of Thinness." * What's the take away? Spend time surrounding yourself with people and messages that give life, build you up-and make you...more you. Learn to see bodies as art; another genre of music. Make yourself a studier and appreciator of beauty- in all its forms. Change the way you see others and let it change the way you see yourself!! * Start a Pinterest board of women from all backgrounds, nations, and body sizes. Surround yourself with women who don't look like you, and who look like you. Let yourself see and learn and know what woman really looks like, and I promise, you'll find yourself embracing all the parts of yourself you never believed you could ❤️ #beautiful #diversityisbeautiful #haes #beautycomesinallsizes #nondietapproach #nondietdietitian #trainyoureyes #selflove #selfcare #bodyimage #improvingbodyimage

It’s taken me a long time to be comfortable in my own skin, not only physically but personality wise as well. 🍁 I seriously struggled with body image through high school and college. Especially, while playing college soccer. I was never considered “small enough” to fit the mold of what people expected a college soccer player to look like. People’s eyes always widened in surprise when I mentioned playing college soccer. My college years were filled with body size comments from coaches and peers alike. 🍁 These comments absolutely destroyed me. I’m still daily working through my process of healing. The worst hurts I’ve ever experienced in my life have been when others confirm things I had already been thinking about myself. Because logically, if more than one person confirms it, it must be true right? WRONG. 🍁 My adult hurts congregate more around the basis of personality. I’ve been called wonderful things throughout my life; strong, confident, leader, caring. I’ve also been called terrible things in my life; bossy, rude, heartless, abrasive. The hardest part is that sometimes I believe both sides of the coin. 🍁 I still struggle with my self image all the time. I’ve had to speak truth and life over myself on a daily basis. I’ve had to surround myself with people who constantly remind me that I am a Beloved Daughter of the King who is perfectly and wonderfully made. My challenge is this, don’t believe the lies that you or others are speaking into your life! You are SO much more than the words that are used to describe you! You are deeply and intimately loved!! #bodyimage #selfworth #collegesoccer #soccergirl #confidence #personality #strong #powerfulwomen #loved #daughteroftheking #highschool #college #youareloved

🌟 NEW BLOG POST 🌟 10 Ways to Foster a Healthy Body Image in Children and Promote a Positive Relationship with Food. 💛 You’ll find a direct link in my bio! 🙊🌼 ————————————————————— Here’s a sneak preview... . . . ✨ Number 1 ✨ - Avoid labelling foods as “good” or “bad” or “healthy” or “unhealthy.” When we start labelling foods, it categorizes it in our minds. This can lead to guilt and shame when eating certain foods, which often results in all-or-nothing and black-and-white thinking. The cycle looks like this: restriction – binge – restriction – binge. This can also lead to rigidness and perfectionism with eating. . . . ✨ Number 5 (on the list) ✨ Encourage exercise out of self-love and not self hate. Exercise should be a celebration of what the body can do! Not punishment for eating a cupcake. Encourage children to exercise because it feels good. Let them choose what kind of movement they like. . . . ✨ Number 9 (on the list) ✨ 9. Advocate! Advocate at schools and in your community! Share about body positivity, Eating Disorder awareness, body acceptance and Health at Every Size. . . . Click the link in my bio to see ALL 10 ways that you can help to foster a healthy body image AND promote a positive relationship with food for the children in your life. . . . Which tip on my list is your favourite? What would you add to my list? Let me know in the comments! 👇💛 . . . PS: Yeah, this photo is random. But, when I upload photos of the children in my life, I am sure to ask parental permission. And this morning I am too lazy to find the perfect photo and don’t have enough time to ask around. So here is just a random photo that matches the aesthetic of my feed right now lol! 🤓

Woke up this morning feeling anything but fine and, instead of following my own advice and listening to my body, I attempted to work out. Bad idea. I got through 5 minutes of a light session and my muscles just gave out. If I'd just trusted my body and its signals and cycles..!!! I say it all the time, but I understand from my own experience, how hard it can be to trust yourself and to truly be in tune with your own rhythms and signals. The body is so clever, but the mind and need to simply get something done for self validation can mess around with so much that is natural! Anyway that was a good stark reminder to me to practice what I preach and now that the toddler is napping (because you never get a sick day once you have a child), me and Winnie The Pooh choose Gabriel Oak / Far From The Madding Crowd, a blanket and some precious REST! Just to say... Rest is as important as training. Listen to your body and give it the down time it needs when it tells you that it's time for a day off. It knows what it's doing! Also, no one is perfect. Not even personal trainers! We're all human, we all trip up along the way, and we all have plenty to learn as we go on our journey of self discovery. Not that long ago I used to sell meal plans and I (+ my BFF) did a freaking good job at it. I’ve never been into trends or labels so whole 30, keto, paleo, vegan, detoxes, macros, etc never fit within my nutrition philosophy. Ever. Just like any other nutrition professional who has transition to the non-diet approach I began to see hidden forms of diet culture in my messaging and it felt icky. I know it’s not my fault because every authority is fighting fat, it seeped into my education. It’s diet culture’s fault. But, for a long time I carried guilt about any harm I may have caused. I still feel a knot in my stomach every time someone meets me IRL to tell me they’ve done (cough) the 21 day. . I know better now. And when you know better you do better! And WE HAVE ALL made changes! Even the GOATs of this movement, @evelyntribole & @lindobacon have discussed reframing their messaging. It’s inspiring and courageous! . It took a lot of work. And I get questions weekly about why I changed. The truth is, I don’t believe that I changed all that much. I believe my experience helps me counsel my clients better. I feel blessed to work with amazing women who are sick of the sneaky forms of the wellness world. They are changing their minds just like I did. . Once you see the harm caused by efforts to control your body, you can’t unsee it. I hope that all nutrition and fitness professionals can be as brave as me one day. I hope they call out the BS and find another way to successfully promote whole health, which has nothing to do with how “good” or “🔥” or “amazing” someone looks...how hard or how often they exercise...how balanced their meals are...what else?

Have you ever found yourself comparing? Comparing your body to another person’s body? Or comparing your health, diet, grades, or friends to another’s? Comparison is so easy to fall into...but so difficult to climb out of. - However, when we remember that our uniqueness is what makes us US...that our differences are put there by God to reveal a different aspect of His character to others through us, it can change our perspective and help us to see ourselves as Christ does: fearfully and wonderfully made, and His perfect, flawless creation 🌟 - Whenever you find yourself comparing your journey or your life to others, remind yourself that the only one we should be comparing to...the only one we should be striving to be like or imitate, is Christ. He is our example...no one else 🙏🏻 - #annasorganicswellness #bodyimage #different #selflove #soulcare #mentalhealth #counseling #christiancounseling #emotionalhealing #spiritualhealing #eatingdisorderrecovery #edrecovery #positivebodyimage #bodyimagemovement #naturalhealth #healing #psychology #loveyourself #selflove #emotionalhealth

What is body image? Body image is a mental representation of how we see our bodies and appearance. It is NOT what we actually look like but the relationship we have with our bodies. It can be influenced by many factors such as history of weight change, biological factors and social ideals. Body image can affect our mental health, physical health, self care and social interactions. Therefore it is important to become aware of what may be creating an unhealthy body image such as unrealistic media images. This awareness may help you to begin to challenge negative body image. #bodyimage #eatingdisorders

But what if I over eat.? Nope But what if I fell off my diet? Nope But what if I ate something “bad”? Nope But what if the food made my stomach hurt? Nope There’s no single reason why you should feel shame or guilt for eating. What you eat and how you look are not in any way EVER tied to your value and worth as a human. Do I believe in health? Absolutely! Do I believe in feeding your body nourishing foods? Absolutely! Am I personally particular about what I put in my body? Yes I am! Do I eat sugar treats? Yep! Do I ever overeat? Yep! Do I feel shameful or guilty for it? Not anymore! (but I did for years especially as a personal trainer and nutrition coach) Feeling emotionally miserable over what you eat or how you look is one aspect of having an unhealthy relationship with your body. This leads to more body image struggles. And health is multifaceted and has a lot to do with the emotions, pressures, and stress you put on yourself. Can you recognize and be aware that certain foods cause certain reactions within you? Yes! That is part of being mindful which is very important. But, you shouldn’t beat yourself up over it. Instead of feeling guilty, take pleasure (sooo much more enjoyable) Instead of feeling shame, honor who you are and what you want. I will be going over a lot about this in depth (how to release the pressure and overwhelm of the fitness~weight-loss~diet industry confusion, what health actually is, and how to shift to mindful and intuition eating) in one of the modules coming out in my new program! Coming out in February! “Despite what you might think, I don’t believe loving your body is, in and of itself, a particularly important accomplishment. # I don’t even specifically care about body image, when it gets right down to it. # Lemme back up. # Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about my purpose, my passion, my business, and my job. # Why does body image matter to me? Why have I gone so far out of my way to gather the sharpest tools and more valuable concepts to help people overcome self-critical thoughts, self-objectification, and feelings of worthlessness? # Put another way, why do I care if people like themselves? # It’s an interesting question. # The obvious answer is that life is way better when you like yourself, and I empathize with the struggles of others. # But it’s also so much more than that. It’s about how a negative self-concept (including negative body image) blocks you from being YOU— and what that means for the world. # Feeling insecure blocks you from accessing connection, belonging, pleasure, joy, purpose, and meaning, and it robs the world of whatever gifts and truth you have inside you.” —Excerpt from today’s #transparenttuesday email

You cannot always control your situation. You cannot always control what other people do. You cannot always control what happens to you. •⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ However, you CAN control the words you speak over your life. Are you speaking with conviction? With purpose? Do you have intention behind your words? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ •⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Consider how you can manifest positivity for your situation through simply changing how you speak about it. ✨ •⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #thediamondcampaign #tdc #selflove #empowerment #womensempowerment #bodyimage #personalbrand #selfworth #visionforthefuture

“traveling asks us to demand less and accept things as they are, to remain balanced and equanimous whether or not things go according to plan” — you all know i’m a routine girl. pizza on friday nights with bae. workouts at their respective times during the week. my own bed and celery juice when i wake up in the morning. so this year i thought, why not shake things up a little bit? i set an intention to travel more - alone. I’m not going to lie, it feels scary sometimes. the night before i left i got nervous that maybe my Air Bnb host would be a killer. or that my car would breakdown at night in an unfamiliar place. or that i would get BORED and TIRED of myself and my own thoughts. i felt tempted to cancel, but pressed on. i’m so glad i did. i left the chaotic city for a place that was much calmer. my mind picked up the surrounding energy and within an hour i felt so glad to be alone. there’s so much that we harbor deep inside until we give ourselves the chance to quiet our minds. when it comes to the surface it might be painful or joyous, but regardless it feels incredible to face it. the strength you receive by just spending a little time alone is so beautiful. by spending some time alone this weekend, i was forced to listen to silence. i gave myself time to breath in the space that surrounded me, and i made time to make friends with myself. i can’t wait to do it again.. and again.. and again. — for those of you thinking about traveling alone, or those of you thinking about completing an activity alone - just remember that you. can. dooo it! take the necessary precautions, stay mindful, and enjoy the time by yourself. here’s a few things i did… *put two different people on find my friends *let someone know you’re doing ok before bedtime *bring a good book for mealtime *don’t be afraid to make new friends *do something YOU really love to do *TRUST YOUR GUT & HAVE FUN!

Do you listen to the “body live podcast”?? It’s excellent. @jessihaggertyrd perfectly describes my experience... I have a lot of privilege... and thoughts still come up... and I chose not to engage with them. 💕 #repost @jessihaggertyrd 👇👇👇 ・・・ There was a time when a weekend away at the beach, in a bathing suit, would have triggered thoughts of dieting, deprivation, over exercising... those thoughts still come up. . There was a time when I would have been consumed by thoughts of what other people think of how I look in a bathing suit (or really in any outfit)... those thoughts still come up. . The thoughts still come and the thoughts go. We can’t control our thoughts. But what I have now is a very keen awareness of how these thoughts (and behaviors that come with them) don’t serve me anymore. They no longer resonate with my values so therefore they have nowhere to live. And in all honestly this has nothing to do with me “loving” my body and has everything to do with my fierce commitment to rejecting the idea that we need to be small to be worthy. . I benefit from a lot of privilege AND I don’t always feel confident. But I know that no matter what my body looks like AND no matter how I feel about what my body looks like, I am worthy. And so are you. K? . #bodylove

I was very honoured to be interviewed by @theheroichumans – @danasusanclark is doing great work in bringing awareness to all the amazing organizations and individuals who are working towards making the world better! ▫️💕▫️ We have taken a big step back from social media for the past few months so that we could focus on building up some GREAT NEW things for you all this year! We are slowly coming back online and stil trying to be very mindful. 💯 If you are like us and trying to limit how much time you spend online, definitely use your precious time to out @theheroichumans and see what they are up too! 🙌 Interview excerpt below. Head over to their website to read more. 👌 "In my teens I struggled with body image. All the activities and ways of thinking that I thought would make me confident and happy, actually resulted in me being more anxious, depressed, and floundering in life. I went to counselling and things got better, but they weren't great until I watched Jean Kilbourne's documentary "Killing Us Softly." 🙋‍♀️ There are few moments that have been completely life changing for me, but this was was one of them as my eyes were opened to how significantly media images and messages deeply influence us...”🧠 . . . #positivebodyimage #bodyimage #healthybodyimage #freetobetalks #theheroichumans #mentalhealth #medialiteracy #embodiment

We won’t ever find the validation we seek by looking for it outside of ourselves. It just doesn’t work like that 💚 How will you give to YOU today? Love happens now. Not when. Have you ever heard someone say, “I just want to get to my goal weight...” or “If I could just fit into my old pants,” or “I just want to lose ten more pounds...” To which I ask, “...and then...what?” What will happen if you get to your goal weight? What then? What happens when you can fit into your old pants? What does that mean? What IF you lose ten more pounds? Then what? What? You’ll be happier? You’ll be worth more? You’ll enjoy life more? What? What will happen? So then what does it mean for you or say about you if it doesn’t happen? If I can love myself because I am myself, not because I’m pretty or the perfect weight or the best mom or the fastest runner or the valedictorian, but simply because I am me... ...then no matter what state I’m in, I can experience joy and know I have worth. No matter what state I’m in, love is available to me. #loveyourself #dietculture #ditchthediet #combatvanity #bodyimage #bodyconfident

I'm forever working on my own journey, but I'm learning to love myself on every step of my journey! . . Exercise is not a punishment, or something you have to do because of what you ate. It is a GIFT and I didn't realize how precious it was until I literally couldn't do anything with my ankle injury. . . This last year I've learned how to fuel my body and use food as a tool to help me get results. I loved the nutrition program so much I became a certified mentor to lead other women and teach them! . . And our group is on fire right now 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 . . One of my girls is down about 15 lbs since December, and another gal is down 10 lbs in January! . . Girl I want to help you too! I feel like it's my calling to share what I've learned! . . Drop an emoji below of what your current goals are: . . ❤ I'm at my goal weight 💛 lose 0-5 lbs 🧡 lose 5-10 lbs 💚 lose 10-20 lbs 💙 lose 20-50 lbs 💜 lose 50+ lbs

•“I understand now that the vulnerability I’ve always felt is the greatest strength a person can have. You can’t experience life without feeling life. What I’ve learned is that being vulnerable to somebody you love is not a weakness, it’s a strength.” • • • Cry if you need to, scream, write it all down in a journal, go on a long walk, lift weights at the gym, go to the beach. Do whatever you gotta do in order to make yourself feel better and never feel bad for expressing your emotions. It takes a really strong person to be vulnerable. Remember, what makes you vulnerable, makes you beautiful. Never apologize. #sorrynotsorry

These kind of stories drive me crazy. The average woman is a size 14 but yet designers won’t make this performer a dress because she isn’t a size they deem acceptable for their designer dresses. And we wonder why we have a country full of women with self esteem issues, body image issues, and eating disorders. Maybe it’s time we start rejecting Hollywood’s standard of beauty. Size 8 is a very normal body size. I wear a size 8 pants. #edrecovery #eatingdisorders #bulimiarecovery #keto #ketosis #ketodiet #ketogenic #ketogenicdiet #lowcarb #lowcarbdiet #bodyimage #selfesteem #selflove

I love this quote from @brenebrown & how it applies to a lot of conversations I have with the people I work with- learning to embrace the middle, the mess, the grey space can be a really challenging experience for those of us who have lived as black & white/all or nothing thinkers. When we allow ourselves to experience the discomfort that comes from the middle, we open ourselves up to growth & the *magic* that comes with it. ✨ • • • #intuitiveeating #haes #nondietdietitian #antidiet #bodypositive #nodiets #mindfuleating #allbodiesaregoodbodies #bodykindness #bodyimage #neda #recovery #eatingdisorderrecovery #bodyacceptance #bodypositivity #bodyliberation #nutrition #health #mentalhealth #selflove #selfcare #selfcompassion #selftrust #effyourbeautystandards #inspirdnutrition
