Only 4 days into this new timed-nutrition and consistent workouts all focusing on my ARMS, ABS, and ASS and I’m already FEELING amazing!! But guess what I still don’t have a 6 pack, my thighs still jiggle in my workouts & the SWEET cravings are staring to kick in. Am I where I want to be yet? UM NO! I’m only 4 days in and have 76 to go!! But I’m determined to stick with it and remind myself that I’m one step closer than I was yesterday and that’s what matters!!! I remember 7 years ago, starting a new workout regimen or diet plan and get pretty discouraged when the results weren’t instant! I mean I was surrounded by all of these QUICK FIXES: magic drinks, diet pills, fat wraps, crash diets that made me count points or eat cabbage soup for weeks.... and so I had in my mind that results needed to be FAST! That fast results were going to make me happy and would help me reach my goals... but reality was that those quick fixes I had fallen for didn’t work!! They weren’t sustainable, some weren’t healthy and doing MORE damage to my body then good, and others were just a waste of time and money!! I realized that in order for me to get results it was going to take time, consistency, and a hell of a lot of work! I stopped focusing on the scale to determine whether I was seeing success and started focusing on NON-SCALE VICTORIES! I noticed my clothes fitting looser, my strength to not give into my cravings increase, my endurance building, my energy last longer throughout my day and that is what I began to FOCUS on! I learned that even the smallest progress leads to MASSIVE results! My biggest advice for those who are just starting their health journey— GIVE IT TIME!!! Stop focusing on getting quick results instead focus on getting LONG TERM results that’ll last you a lifetime!! Procrastinating to the max today. Did my workout at 10pm. #cardio #core day But you know what sometimes working out sucks 👎🏼 It’s not always lollipops and gumdrops 🍭🍬it’s emotional and it’s hard work. Add your personal life and daily struggles into the mix and it’s HARD. Some days I have it together. Some days not so much. That’s why it’s a journey and not an overnight success. Love yourself more! Have a vision and honour that vision. A lot of people have a vision for themselves but they are not acting like that vision. If you’re vision is you as a healthy person but then you go eat 3 unhealthy meals everyday, well then you’re lying to yourself and it feels bad. But you know what, let yourself feel that guilt because the struggle is what causes the transformation. Honour your struggle and set goals to become that healthy vision of yourself. When your vision matches your actions you start loving yourself. We are often too hard on ourselves. Give yourself credit for the small steps you took this week to meet your vision. You may not be there yet but OMG you are now doing things to show that you value yourself. If you have a passion but it hasn’t been paying off like you would like and you continue to have belief to work diligently at it daily, GIVE YOURSELF CREDIT. If you have been mistreated and someone was a jerk to you or did not value you but if you still have love in your heart and believe in a beautiful relationship for yourself, GIVE YOURSELF CREDIT. Sometimes the way we love ourselves is to recognize that we have WONDER WOMAN powers within us that still believes. If you still have belief in your heart after all the hardships you had in your life. This belief makes it so much easier to love yourself because you have given yourself credit. You had hope and you didn’t give up.
