Boxing 101! Don't get hit! We can't all have Floyds speed and timing to do it with our hands down. Learn to slip and not get hit but protect yourself, be ready to counterpunch. Learn defense! 技術打擊模擬 To simulate what’s really goinvert to happen on the stage 🥊 1: 全身性防守,一直以對手的腹部爲目標,打開他的防守 2: 閃躲對手的攻擊,以#uppercut 回敬他 3: 當對手以#uppercut 回敬你的時後,必須讓他打空,或是壓低手肘防守 @yuting___yang #uppercut #拳擊 #拳手 #boxer #boxers #boxingtrainer #boxingdefense #violinist #violinistlife

Swipe to see the full video 👉 _ Here’s another drill you can try with a friend or trainer to practice blocking punches and taking steps back to keep your distance. _ 🥊 As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, stepping back from your opponents’ punches is extremely beneficial for taking their power away, which puts you in a good position to counter them. _ 🥊Blocking your opponents’ jab can also give you a good opportunity to counter them. _ 🥊This was actually Cassandra’s first time training with me and she did great!

Here is an example of what a 1-2 step back plus counter combination can look like. _ 🥊 The point of stepping back is so that if your opponent tries to counter after your 1-2 punch you will have created more space, ultimately taking their power away as they miss their punches. _ 🥊 From here you can follow up with another combination to try and counter your opponent. _ 🥊 Interested in taking a boxing class to get in shape? Your first class is free! All of our contact info can be found near the top of our bio. 💥

While the jab isn’t a very powerful punch, learning how to develop it properly is extremely important for keeping your distance from your opponent. _ 🥊 Whether you are working on a bag or with a mitter you should focus on extending your jab as far out as possible. _ 🥊 This will help you keep your distance from your opponent and will allow you to get the most power out of the punch. _ 🥊 Once you have developed your jab you can practice throwing a single or double jab then immediately step back. _ Learning how to quickly step back after throwing a jab or combo can be extremely useful for taking the power away from your opponent if they try to counter punch off your jab/combo. _ 🥊 This drill can be done on a bag or with a mitter so try it out and let us know what you think!

Here is a fast and powerful yet simple combination you can practice. _ 🥊 As always make sure you get in the habit of bringing your punches right back to your face to protect yourself. _ 🥊 Turning your whole body into your punches is extremely important. That’s how you build you speed and power! _ 🥊 With the first punch you want to twist your back foot and hip forward towards your opponent. _ 🥊 With the hook you want to twist your front foot and body in the same direction the punch is going. Also make sure to keep your elbow up! _ 🥊 Take it slow to master the technique first then once you get comfortable bringing your punches back and using your whole body you can work on your speed and power.

Here is one option of a defense and counter move you can do in boxing. _ 🥊 Make sure when blocking your opponents punch that you don’t drop your hand to low. Make sure your hand stays relatively close to your face and when you see the punch coming open up your palm and slightly push your opponents glove down. _ 🥊 Keep the movement short and fast then immediately follow with a counter punch using the same hand you blocked with. _ 🥊 Make sure to block with the opposite hand that your opponent punched with. So if your opponent throws a left handed punch you want to block with your right. _ 🥊 This is a great drill for two people wearing gloves to practice back and forth with. You can switch off with your partner throwing and block each others punches.

As a southpaw (left hander) fighting a right handed fighter going to the body is a great option after throwing a left cross. _ 🥊When you throw the left you’re already in a great position to throw a hook to the body with your right. _ 🥊As you throw the first punch lean into it a little bit to set up then right hook to the body. _ 🥊Then from there you can right hook to the head and finish with another cross to the face. _ Try this out and let us know what you think!

A common mistake a lot of beginning boxers make is dropping their hands after throwing punches. _ 🥊Ideally, you want to focus on bringing your punches back to your face, just as fast as you threw them. That way you aren’t leaving your face open and you’ll always be ready to protect yourself. _ 🥊This is a drill that I use with all my athletes and fighters because it teaches them to always bring their punches back after throwing combos. #azboxingandfitness #sanmarcosboxing #escondidoboxing #carlsbadboxing #oceansideboxing #northcountyboxing

Knowing your range and not reaching past it is incredibly important to remaining dynamic. If you reach you lose connection to the ground and “fall” leaving yourself open to counters. Here we see @canelo showing a beautiful mastery of range to make his opponent reach and then punishing them for it. - Repost from @canon_of_combat an up-and-coming page and you can tell it is worth giving a follow to.
