Stunning day for some Mummy love and Baby love. Incorporating my boy Flinders into my Pilates workouts was the perfect way for me to bond with him while giving myself some love and getting my strength and confidence back. It’s so lovely to share this with these gorgeous mums! Working on correctly recruiting our essential core muscles in the first half of our session is perfect so we can do these fun exercises safely. It is something we have been working towards as adding our babies into the exercises can be quite demanding on our body and needs to be done with posture and core recruitment in mind, but it’s also vital seeing as we are carrying them around all day everyday. Today we went through activating our core effectively through movement, strengthening our hip and shoulder stabilisers, improving our posture and some fun bonding exercises with our babes that also worked on their head, neck and vestibular development followed by some Mum chats and coffee - morning #mumlife perfection! I have just launched a new class in a new location north of Brisbane up in Morayfield. See link in bio for all my class details! I’m on half a spring and my back is loving the rotation and movement! #22weekspregnant * Tips: *Keep the head heavy in the free hand: the head rotates with the upper and middle back. *Think of rotating from the Thoracic and opening up the chest. *The hips stay square to the back of the reformer as the upper and middle back rotate. *Think of rotating the torso around a fixed axis. * Pilates Instructor Training courses available!!
