HAND WEIGHTS - Can you use hand weights during your pilates class?? Exactly a year ago today we found out I was pregnant!💙 * I remember it like it was yesterday, but it also feels like a lifetime ago! I had taken a test on the Monday, which had a super faint line. I threw it out instantly, telling myself I was imagining the line. I went about my day and then on Wednesday morning at 4:30 am before work I decided to take another test. A bright, bold line stared back at me. I woke up my husband Chris and shoved the test in his face saying no words. After too many negative pregnancy tests to count we decided this one was a false positive (which isn’t possible🤣!) and booked an appointment with my GP, in which I embarrassingly took the test to show her (in a ziplock bag of course!). She assured me that I was pregnant and probably thought I was also a tad special! * This photo was taken the day at our house after we found out. The talented @lanniesphotos took us through a hilarious shoot with our four dogs and Chris was so terrified to perform any poses with me, in case something happened to our lil Bub! * Fast forward one year and we have a healthy, hilarious almost 4 month old! It’s been a journey of ups and downs, crying and laughing, twists and turns and balancing acts. One thing is for sure; I’ll always remember January 17th 2018💙

Back on the getting my body back train 🚂 in fact I’ve been really working on it since the end of November and I’m in the swing of it. But, I gotta tell you- it’s bloody hard work after babies. Who feels my pain? Mummas? Anyways I’m loving Pilates atm and I’ve been going to @rebalance_pilates_yoga. I always push myself, even at Pilates and well, ouch! Sore quads, sore bum, sore back, sore abs... I love the ice blue blend! It helps soothe the sore muscles and gives me the relief I need to get back there the next day. PRAYER - We saw Lizzie doing a swan last week and this Prayer Exercise is along the same lines in that it’s great for spinal flexibility. ⠀ ⠀ It opens up the front of the chest, stretches the abdominals, hip flexors and quads!! ⠀ ⠀ If you have any back pain it’s best to avoid this exercise but we can always give you a modification in the studio when you’re with a trained instructor.⠀ ⠀ Let me know if you want to do a Masterclass and practice this exercise!!!
