Holy abs! There is never a wrong time to get on top of your exercise routine - Yvonne has been working so hard with me in Pilates to get stronger, and manage a few injuries that have been plaguing her. When I first showed her this teaser exercise, she was doubtful that she would be able to do it, but she gave it a crack anyway! - There's so many areas in our lives that we hold back from because we don't think we can do it. That we'll fail, or look silly. Press one hip out to the side and place the hand just above this hip to feel the obliques activating. Inhale to lean straight the arm and weight down the leg, exhale to lift the torso up from the waist. Well here I was at 4:30am this morning. Never been an early morning person until now! My first shift instructing at the beautiful Studio Pilates Ashgrove. 10 Pilates reformers all lined up ready to be filled with awesome clients wanting to be smashed by the Ultimate 40 minute Body Toning Workout. Where else do you get to work out under a Chandelier? I must say after instructing 6 back to back classes I am now ready for a nap ! This is why I’ve been neglecting my jewellery posts lately, too busy focusing on my studies and training. Hopefully now I can find some balance and get back to treasure hunting and post more Vintage Jewels for you all. Wellness comes in many forms! There is no point lifting heavy weights if you don’t stretch and roll your body out after. There is no point denying yourself β€œtreats”, if you end up binging on them when you have them. There is no point in having β€œtreats” if you have a massive serve of guilt after eating them. There is no point obsessing and stressing over every single thing that may make you fat, harm you, kill you ..... .... if it causes your mind to become so stressed .... .... you will only make your body sick. So what is the point. The point dear friends is balance and moderation. Balance the intense training with deep stretching and rolling. Balance the intense mental & physical challenges with deep bouts of meditation and relaxation. Balance your diet - you can have it all in moderation. Let go of the guilt! Balance what you read with how you actually feel. If you believe everything you read I would assume everything is going to kill us. Worrying causes stress and stress causes illness. We are here to live. So live well, move well, eat well and BE WELL X
