My husband purchased these @peachbands for me the other day and I have LOVED incorporating them into my leg/glute days! The resistance in them varies by band so you can tailor them to your specific needs. I opt for the Heavy band (Featured here) when I squat or do kick backs so I can really work my muscles without causing any pull on my knees. As someone who likes to take whatever he is doing and learn it inside and out, likes to perfect it to the best of my ability. It was a humbling experience to be back in the gym. It's been about a year since I've worked out. I used to walk in with confidence. Today I walked in like a kid in Disneyland. Excited. But had no idea where to go or what to do. So I tried as many things as I could. Did it with no purpose but to just do something. Hopefully some guidence comes. Keep grinding. That's the only way to get better. That person isn't your absolute end all be all. That person is only 1 chapter in many chapters of a unfinished story. Then simply turn the page and begin a new chapter. As much as we may feel that the story being written is out of our control sometimes. Know that you are always the one in control. #5miles on my home turf this morning! 😊 Things have changed in the 2 months since I ran here last. 😕 NOT happy with the new twisty cross walk for the railroad tracks but I suppose it’s about safety rather than a speedy crossing 🙄😂

There are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human spirit, no barriers to our progress except those we erect ourselves. • I am definitely not the most dedicated person in terms of getting myself in the gym and consistently sticking to a diet but I do give it my best! • One bad meal does not make you fat just as one good meal does not make you ripped! Missing one session in the gym does not mean all gains will be lost and there is no hope. Good morning from the RR! 🚂 It is a new day indeed. I’ve changed my calorie intake from a deficit to maintaining for the next few weeks. Ever feel stretched thin? Between long work days and lots of after school activities, my time is precious; seems I’m always somewhere doing something. I found myself getting mentally tired always being on the go. I’ve dropped over 25 lbs working with @iron_paradise_fitness and I know I’ll be able to keep it off. Soooooo... I’m still moving forward, still eating well and working out, but I had to change the pace for just a bit. I got mad at myself thinking I was failing at this. Nope! This journey is unique to me. I have to stop comparing myself to others. . . I hope everyone kicks off their weekend well. This is my mantra for today 🤷‍♀️🙃 . I woke up and was ready to crush some Speed 35 from #shiftshop. But the internet gods are not with me today. I stream many of my programs now with Beachbody on Demand, which is great 99% of the time. Except for when the app decides it doesn’t want to work 🙄 While it doesn’t happen often, the times that it does happen is annoying. But instead of blaming something else or wasting time complaining and NOT working out- I took control of the situation. . I looked through the workouts I DO have on DVD and chose one of those instead. I needed cardio, and I didn’t want something more than 30 minutes (at this point I’d wasted 10 minutes trying to get the app to work). I opted for something now- a bonus workout that I’d never done from The Master’s Hammer and Chisel. It’s 18 minutes, but intense. It was perfect 👌 . It challenged me without being too much. And I was feeling so good by the end I added on a few extra minutes of my own cardio moves (high knees, butt kicks, toe taps). I surprised even myself with that. I hate cardio usually. But my adrenaline was pumping, my heart rate was up, I was sweating- I felt like I do when I’m halfway into a good run. And it made me realize again why I enjoy running so much. There’s just something about it; it makes me feel invincible. .
