Creating a seafood summer salad - minimal ingredients + time > maximum flavour + results 🥗 — I used frozen wild shrimp to save on costs, used farmer market tomatoes + herbs grown on window... — 7 ingredients: • 150 grams Frozen wild shrimp / prawns • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil • large handful cherry tomatoes • 3 tbsp green olives • fresh basil + mint • 1/2 lime • 59 grams buffalo mozzarella To make it dairy free swap the mozzarella for avocado 🥑 • • Recipe: 1. Heat a cast iron pan to medium high. Add 1/2 the oil. 2. Once heated, add the prawns cook for 2 minutes per side, then allow to rest in pan until ready to serve. 3. Whilst shrimp cooking, prepare the salad. 4. Slice tomatoes in half, tear the mozzarella keeping to the same size as tomatoes. Tear the herbs apart, add the olives, sea salt and remaining olive oil. 5. Plate up making it look sexy 😍 — Simple sexy salad 🥗 Spending less time in the kitchen and more time outside ☀️ All you need is the ingredients, defrost the shrimp ahead and 7 minutes. W12-D6 Bank holiday weekend means chilling, spending quality time with my 🐵 and friends, and obviously being off plan! 🤫 Started the day with cooking. My brilliant sister-in-law is visiting tomorrow so I am experimenting new recipes as she is vegan. Got myself a new cooking book One Pound Meal Vegan. I would highly recommend, nailed my first recipe! Tomato tart Tatin - it was so easy to do and the taste was incredible 🤩 - - - - - - - - - - It’s impossible to go to the gym when 👱🏻‍♂️ is away so I have to work out at home. And tonight I did some weights, the hardest I’ve ever done! 46 min, and I was sweating and exhausted, which is always a good sign! - Last bite > 1900 First bite > 0830 Total fast = 13h30 - ♦️Avocado & chipotle toast with a coffee with soya milk. Not used to drink milk with coffee so added some skinny syrup - tasted a bit too sweet! ♦️Tomato tart Tatin - had a slice of it as a snack. It was so simple and out of this world 🤩 @onepoundmeals ♦️Lunch out @tymperleys , the perfect spot for a bit of food or cake when the sun is out! ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ Bacon, leek and cheese quiche & salted caramel brownie 🤤 ♦️Fruit salad - grapefruit, strawberries,raspberries and blueberries. 🧪RECIPE TRYOUT🧪 Ooh this #cauliflowerrisotto was SO FILLING!! The portion is legitimately huge. My boyfriend was like whoa that’s a lot 😅 The taste was not bad, although I’d recommend mixing the laughing cow cheese with say quark or a bit of almond milk before mixing it with the cauliflower so it breaks down more easily and would give the most creamy texture. Today I hit a deadlift PR! 300lbs. 🏋🏼‍♂️It must have been all of that protein hot chocolate! I felt really proud of myself because 9 months ago I never even tried deadlifting and could barely do 135. I failed 315 and went down to 300 and managed to lift it. My form breaks a little midway through the lift so next time I’ll be sure to lock my shoulders in better. Here’s how I built I up to a 1 rep max today: Deadlift 🔹5-5-4-4-3-3-2-2-1 🔹135, 155, 185, 205, 225, 245, 265, 285, 300 Make sure you give yourself lots of rest as a one rep max taxes the body a ton. I finished up today with 100 double unders. They are one of the very best cardiovascular exercises you can do. They are incredibly efficient at burning calories and use the entire body! Good evening all, So, I didn’t post yesterday because I wasn’t happy with myself & I didn’t want to post leaving it on a bad note. My 48 hour fast extended to 63 hours ! Which was still brilliant since anything over 48 hours was a bonus. So I broke it & had lunch at work. But then I went home & had pizza for tea & an ice cream. I felt very upset with myself for how much I ate especially since I hadn’t gone to the gym. But today I am feeling better about how I’ve done! I started the morning, with a steady workout which burnt 350 kcals. I didn’t work particularly hard since it was early morning & I was still tired. Anyhow, then I went home & I ate a slice of toast with 1/4 of an avocado, and 1 poached egg. Then I didn’t eat until I had a stir fry for my evening meal. Even though I’ve eaten today, I’ve made the right food choices, which I am pleased about. I’ve also noticed my waist is starting to thin & I feel like I’ve lost weight which I am pleased about !
