Manic Monday Post today. Been stuck on crutches and in the house after suffering from a muscle tear in my left calve. My legs have always been my best body part and favorite thing to train.. (I know thats a bit crazy).. I cant explain how heartbreaking it is to lose something that I have spent 20 years trying to improve and make strong. I am having a rough time being out of the gym and counting the minutes till I start my comeback.. Every journey has a few roadblocks. We all get knocked down. What’s your favorite and least favorite muscle group to train? If I had to pick one for each I’d say #shoulders are my favorite 👍🏻and #calves are my least fave👎🏻. Maybe it has something to do with those being the most visual places that I see (or don’t see ) muscle tone and growth and I enjoy (or hate) the exercises it takes to achieve that . When I trained very hard over 20 years ago I wanted to cry like a baby whenever I did calf exercises... I would literally get off the seated calf raise machine and jump up and down while making faces 😩and groaning until the pain went away . Luckily , thanks to #running , my calves are actually better than they ever were back then and I get the improvement from something I really enjoy . I want to remind everyone that it’s not only beneficial for physique symmetry but important to train all muscle groups to distribute your strength , to avoid injury , and even to maintain better posture , so yeah there may be a muscle group you really don’t enjoy training but don’t skip it entirely ! And although #bbg was a totally different style of working out for me and something that took time to get use to, I loved that even when only working out 3 days a week it managed to target the whole body . 💪🙌. So just a little #mondaymotivation for ya #fitfam! I hope you get a great start to this week ! 😘 . And oh, do you see that little lump towards the top of my abs? Some women get stretch marks or other side effects from child birth , but it that’s mine .... and I’m showing it off with pride . 🙏🏻🙌. It seems to show up in certain lighting but it’s always there and someone messaged me once because she noticed it and had the same thing . The Doc told me it was kind of like a hernia and nothing to worry about unless it changed in size or began to give me discomfort.
