I’m a very big proponent that you should surround yourself with like minded individuals who push you to do better, not the ones that just cheerlead you even when what you’re doing is wrong, but those who aren’t afraid to tell you the truth when no one else wants to. So I challenged myself about 2 weeks to to run my very first 5K race on April 28th. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Some facts you should know/understand about Lex: ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1️⃣ I hate running. ⠀⠀ 2️⃣ There is nothing I will do whatever I can to get out of in fitness more than cardio. ⠀ 3️⃣ I hate running. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ SO I gave myself less than a month to prep to run 3 miles (ya girl the beginning of this month couldn’t run a full mile without walking .. or getting on her knees dramatically screaming at the sky WHY?!!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ SO ANYWAY I can finally as of today run a little over 2 miles. 👇LONG AND VULNERABLE POST AHEAD👇 . . That picture on the left, I thought was normal, okay, I was "skinny." In reality, my health was in jeopardy. . . My hair was thinning & frail, my nails actually started to seperate from the nail bed. I lost my monthly cycle bc my weight had dropped so dramatically.😔 I was a size double zero in jeans and extra small in tops-even then most of my attire was baggy on me. I was freezing ALL the time, I usually wore 2 hoodies in the summer time and most importantly I missed out on A LOT. . . It took me a LONG TIME to share about my this phase of my life bc I was embarrassed. Embarrassed that I somehow let myself slip into this toxic relationship with food and let myself get this far without realizing it was an actual problem. I think its important to share though bc I remember how EASY it was for me to fall into these ways, to trust what pinterest, Google or some fitspo on ig said was the right thing to do. I know there are so many others who are going through the trap that I fell into and I want to help. I want to make sure young girls dont fall into this cycle and can avoid putting their body through this abuse. . . When I started coaching I loved everything about my community- the personal trainers, the balanced mealplans that are nutritionist approved, the SUPPORT-which is something you never realize you truly need until you have it. Trust me, I'm a lone ranger and like to do things on my own but I couldnt have asked for a better group of individuals to surround myself with. It's really been life changing for me.❤ . . I want you to know that you do NOT have to do this thing on your own. You do NOT have to restrict your eating to only fats and proteins. You DO NOT have to eat low carb to lose weight. You do NOT have to spend hours in the gym doing cardio. You can create a life where you feel confident in your own skin and still have your memories out with friends. Stop going for the quick fixes bc all they will bring is "quick & temporary solutions". Looking to change your lifestyle for the better- Let's do this, I wont let you down!👊 . . Guys, I am not a runner. Like, strictly cardi-no at all costs😂 But I signed up for a lil 5k race in a week and this girl hasn’t trained one bit oooooops! Orange theory kicked my butt with some interval treadmill training earlier this week but today I was able to run a whole 5K without stopping 😱 I seriously can’t believe It because I’ve NEVER not stopped to walk😅 My time was 30 minutes & 31 seconds which I’ve never been able to do!! 🔵 FEELING GUILTY 🔵- . Are you someone who feels guilty and regretful after a bad week or weekend of eating?? Why?- . Has your progress EVER been completely destroyed because one day you chose a slice of pizza instead of a salad??? No. It hasn’t.- . One thing that drives me CRAZY is when people act like to be “health” or “fit” your diet is strict and full of chicken, broccoli, and rice.- . I eat whatever I want whenever I want. Why? Because I do eat clean majority of the time and I know that if I have chickfila, nothing will happen!! This week while I was at the beach, I ate TERRIBLE and I felt bloated the entire time but I had FUN and didn’t restrict myself from any foods. I’m back at home now and back on track. I weigh the same weight as I did when I left, and I look the same as I did before I left.- . Nutrition is key to a lot but it’s doesn’t have to be everything you focus on. Eat clean majority of the time and allow yourself some leeway!! LIFES TOO SHORT TO NOT EAT A SLICE OF PIZZA OR CAKE OR ANYTHING because you think It will mess up your goals.

"Vulnerability is having the courage to show up when you cant control the outcome." This is something I struggled with for years. Anticipation of the unknown usually had me paralyzed with anxiety and fear. I let that hold me back for longer than I'd like to admit. I settled for doing what others wanted to me to do, or picking a job with security for the moment bc it felt like the "safe" thing to do. Where this got me was working 50-60 hours a week, missing huge milestones and memories, never seeing my husband or family( & God knows I've done enough of that) and just feeling burnt out and empty. When I got approached one day by now one of my good friends asking me if I wanted to work in the health and fitness industry helping inspire others to live their best lives. At this point I was like this is is-this is MY SIGN. I just got through a very rough couple of years with an eating disorder and I've felt the strongest I've ever been. I knew there were thousands of others that have or were still going though what I went through and still sometimes struggle with. I want to so badly show others that it doesnt have to be hard, it doesnt have to be a constant battle. Taking care of yourself NEEDS to be your number one priority. In order to take care of others your cup needs to be OVERFLOWING. It all starts with what your fuel your body with and how you move it on a daily basis. This will change your life if you let it. But will you let it?

☠️ HIIT Cardio! ☠️ - 🏃🏻‍♂️ When it comes to cardio, some people pride themselves in doing an hour on the treadmill, stairmaster, stationary bike etc. While there’s nothing wrong with this, chances are they’re doing LISS (low intensity steady state) cardio. - 🙌🏻 Any form or cardio is better than none, but if your doing this your most likely only burning calories while your doing it. As soon as you step off, your body jumps out of the “fat burning mode.” - 🔥 HIIT (high intensity interval training) on the other hand, can keep you burning calories for 24 hours or more after you get off! - 🤓 During HIIT you’ll want to cycle through all out sprint intervals, with cool down intervals so your heart rate rises and drops over and over. - ✅ Doing just 10 minutes of HIIT can burn as many calories as doing 30 minutes of LISS— just think of how efficient that is! - 🔄 Switching to HIIT can save you tons of time throughout the day, especially if your doing multiple cardio sessions. - 🔥 I normally do 20 minutes of HIIT at a time, and I always feel amazing after hopping off. - 💊 Mix HIIT with a supplement like @forbiddenlabz pre workout #chaosunleashed or fat burner #immobilize and you’ll be pouring sweat by the time your done! A nice stretch off after this mornings 4.3mile run. The last time I did this run while I was home, my mind was in a sea of bad thoughts. My head was in a very bad place and my mental health was concerning. 9 weeks later and I couldn’t be the complete opposite. My life has changed dramatically in that time and even more so in the last 5 weeks. I’m now in a place I didn’t think I could or would ever be for an awfully long time. Fitness has always helped my state of mind but with how my life has shaped out over the last 5 weeks, it seems that this is a brand new adventure I’m beginning to experience. My last time for this run was almost 40 minutes. Today I got 36.39. The look on my face after I decided to wear my weight vest for the fun (not) running and bike WOD. I'm not going to get in shape for Murph if I dont use my vest so why not die a little bit on the inside? For some reason It felt like I ran faster with my weight vest 🤔 It did however feel good though afterwards because I thought for sure I would stripping off the vest mid wod, but I thought about it all day and stuck with that goal in mind. Ok so little update... Recently got back on the scales and was seriously disappointed with the results 😩 I hadn’t lost any more weight, my body fat had gone down but not as much as I had hoped and my metabolic age was only 1 year down (my partners had dropped by 7 years!!) 👎 Anyway I was gutted. So I went on an all out binge for a good 4/5 days. Just FYI binging is not healthy at all!!! 🙅🏽‍♀️🙅🏽‍♀️🙅🏽‍♀️ but with all my diet restrictions and how disciplined I had been I just was like ‘f*ck it’ Good decision? No. Regrets? No. 💁🏽‍♀️ It made me realise that doing a ton of cardio and not having any of my favourite foods is just not a lifestyle I want to live. 😒 So from now on it’s a balance of healthy foods with the occasional ‘treat’ but no restrictions 🥗🍕🥬🍫🥦🍇 And NO MORE CARDIO 🤩🙌🙅🏽‍♀️ Don’t get me wrong I love a nice long walk or occasionally watching my @youtube or @netflixuk on the stair master but other than that count me out mate 👋 Oh and also...best decision EVER...no more scales! No more numbers making me feel good or bad about my body thanks...Bye biatch!! 👋👋👋👋😂 Do I want my dream body? Absolutely!! Do I want to be miserable trying to achieve it? No freaking way!! 🙅🏽‍♀️😅 Ok rant done. Hope this inspires ya’ll to just do what’s right for you!! 👏 Have a fab Easter weekend and eat the damn chocolate people 🍫🌸🐰

I just had THE best workout like.. ever. It was full body HIIT and since I absolutely haaaate cardio, I blasted some 2000s hip hop to get me in the zone. And I just jammed TF out while crushing the LAST workout of my 8 week program. Why do I love working out at home? 1. Dance parties AF💃🏻 2. No one is judging me for it 3.
