Dwight is my workout partner. That's right, my workout distraction is The Office. My husband and I started watching it a couple months ago. We are on season 5 because we only get to watch one or two episodes a day while we are eating dinner and winding down. This week, we started adding a couple episodes during our workouts. Really keeps my mind off the clock when I'm doing a cardio session. What works for me may not work for you. I love walking and I'm even running a little more again. This with some strength training (really need more of this) and eating as healthy as I can, including fresh produce on a regular, is a big part of my getting healthy and fit. It works for me and it may work for you too. If not, create a doable regimen that you can and will follow through with. You dont need to be extreme you only need to be consistant. #eatclean # getactive #werksinprogress

Did you know that a 30 minute workout is only 2% of your day?? Like what? I know I used to use the excuse ALL the time, um I don’t have time to workout! I work fulltime, I have kids, my husband travels and the list goes on. I am SURE that I spent 30 minutes scrolling on social media, hit snooze at least 4 times in the morning, watched at least 1 hour of tv and then scrolled some more on social media. So really it’s not that I DIDN’t have time, I just didn’t MAKE time. It is never too late to meal plan. I used to think if I didn’t have it planned out by Sunday I would be for sure to fail and then sometimes feel defeated. Not anymore!! I knew I had protein and veggies for today, but for me to be successful the rest of the week I really need to PLAN at least a couple of days. I got some NEW gel pens the other day so I’m writing down my food groups in coordinating color containers. It just makes it fun and colorful.
