En el proceso de experimentar y comprender las extensiones hacia atrás (backbending) hoy en dia podemos escuchar diferentes aproximaciones, prácticas y opiniones. Ninguna es mejor que otra pero si que es necesaria tu activa participacion/sensibilidad en ellas. Si una te causa mucha intensidad o dolor te recomiendo que experimentes tambien por otros métodos. No practicamos extensiones para ser acróbatas sino para profundizar en la consciencia. En el aspecto del yogassana de ésta experimentación en particular te recomendaría plantearte las siguientes cuestiones durante tu práctica: 1. ¿Cómo esta mi respiracion y la visualización de mi campo interno? 2. ¿ Observo flexibilidad en mis cuadriceps? 3. ¿Tengo flexibilidad en mi recto abdominal y flexores de la pelvis en general? 4. ¿Consigo profundizar en la flexibilidad-consciencia de mis hombros o mantengo mucha rigidez o inconsciencia? 5. ¿He experimentado y comprendido el aislamiento de la caja toracica con respecto a la cintura escapular? 6. ¿Siento los glúteos? ¿ Y los pies? 7. De nuevo, ¿consigo respirar en cada uno de los pasos? 8.. ¿Consigo "relajarme" ante la intensidad de la postura o siempre experimento mucha tensión o miedo? 9. ¿ Como está mi mente, mi ego, mi sentimiento y mi intención en todo esto que experimento? 10. ¿Tiendo a prácticar estas posturas con desapego o estoy apegada a un objetivo en particular? So much work to do on wheel pose (Chakrasana)...getting those wrists back towards my shoulders for a start! But given I have metal rods and plates in my spine, there is only so much bending my lower back can do. Day 9️⃣ of my #gratefulasanas challenge and I am promoting that those with tight shoulders who find it hard to bring their shoulders over their wrists or bring their chest forward (see my wheel) to opt for bridge pose instead! There are some great bridge variations but so many people force their body into wheel because they think it’s brings more benefits or don’t want to choose what they think is a lesser or easier pose. HOLLOW BACK holler back y’all ! A couple years ago when a fellow yoga teacher tried to teach me this version, I simply could not understand how to move my body in the opposite direction of how I had been bending. This morning I knew I wanted to work on headstands following my training session this afternoon. While lifting I thought to myself, “Oh yeah, I can do that!” I expected to analyze the video a few times before figuring it out since I had not made any attempts to work on this posture since. I guess all I needed to do was decide. First time. Is it really that simple? Yes and no. Yesterday I told my class; “No problem if you cannot do this posture today (different one than shown) just come back next week and for the next seven years!” They laughed.
