It's been months since I've been able to do incline bench press without any issues. I only went up to 225 forna few reps and then a single with 245. Not bad considering I couldn't hardly press more than 185 not too long ago. Before this....we did some flat bench press. I used reverse grip again to save my shoulders. I only went up to 225 for 10. Then used the same weight for a 5 second pause with 5 second presses for 5 reps. Then a burn out set with 135 for 50 reps straight. That's the most I've done yet. WANT TO FIX SAGGY PUSHUPS?? A lot of people think they have a hard time with pushups due to a lack of upper body strength, but more often than not it’s actually core strength that is lagging behind and the reason for “saggy” pushups! - One of the biggest factors in a solid pushup is being able to maintain connection through your trunk. The ability to control extension won’t necessarily be gained from doing lots of modified pushups, and we recommend some direct core work to expedite the process! - The supine marching drill is a great way to gain control of the spine by solidifying the connection between the pelvis and rib cage. If you swipe left for the video, you’ll see that my first move is to depress my rib cage so my back is flat. My goal is then to maintain this ribs-down position as I lower one leg at a time toward the ground. If this is too challenging for you at first, you can keep the moving leg bent instead of straightening it out fully which will reduce the lever and therefore make it a little easier to keep your ribs down. As you get more comfortable with this drill, you can also add arm movement into the mix to increase the challenge! - We hope you find this helpful! Felt good yesterday after having carbs before my workout! This is a bonus set to my first lift of yesterday’s workout!
