Sometimes you forget great mobility tools from time to time. But thanks to @mattv31 and @colleen112 they have reminded me the importance of scapular health and overall body recovery. These are called band pull a-parts. Here we have @adam_vanwingerden demonstrating the mechanics of this wonderful tool. 1️⃣ Place shoulder blades against the wall and keep them there 2️⃣ If flexibility allows, place butt against the wall and stabilize with the core, drawing in the abdominal muscles. Feet can be off the wall if flexibility is an issue 3️⃣ Palms must be up in a supinated motion, arms straight (fully extended at the shoulder and elbow). Pull the band “a part” and let the scapula naturally glide and you pull. 4️⃣ Perform 10-20 reps, controlled, 2-3 sets prior to any shoulder, chest, arm and even hip movements (hips and shoulders are related, remember that).
