As many of you know, I like to read self help book as a part of my personal development. 📚🤓 . . I’m starting High Performance Habits by @brendonburchard It is a great for anyone to read! One of my favorite tips that I learn from this book is “Increase Productivity”. Since I’m working full time and coaching part time. Sometime my schedules super crazy and overwhelming to me. Per author, high performers create 50 mins 3 power pockets during the day and nail the tasks during those time. They won’t be disturbed or checked their phones during that power pockets. All they do is focus and craft the quality outputs. 😱😱😱 . . Now, I will be practicing my power pockets everyday!! 3 months ago I made a commitment to myself. I said I would run the full Tough Mudder October 20, 2018! For many years I’ve made commitments to myself and broke them. Commitment to health, commitment to exercise, commitment to food, commitment to schooling, even something as simple as commitment to be on time. I started to notice over the years I was not keeping commitments to myself and realized this needed to change. It started when I joined Camp Rhino! That was a commitment to train. I was so intimidated by this gym, big time! But I kept the commitment to myself, joined and now I love it. Tough mudder was a commitment to myself and I was going to keep it! I am so excited to take this journey. 🌟Sunday Spotlight🌟 . Hello hello!! Check out my friend @ciara_gets_healthy’s amazing transformation!!!😱😱😱 She’s a coach and teacher on our team who took control of her weight and WOW did she make a change both inside and out!! She was determined and after a few rounds of our 21 day program she dropped abour 20 lbs and look at the difference in that dress!! Wowsers!! Doesn’t she look 🔥🔥🔥?! Portion control, a daily nutrient dense shake and 30 minute workouts...that’s it!!!🙌🏼 So proud of you girl! It just gives me butterflies when I see a coach or customer have success like this. Do I love meal prepping? Honestly, no 😂 90% of the time I’d rather be doing anything else. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But do I love myself for meal prepping? YUP. Every time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Think about it, if your current self prefers to be lazy, then your future self will probably want to be lazy too. If I don’t feel like cooking today, I won’t feel like cooking tomorrow. And if I didn’t have meals already prepared I’d likely go for takeout instead. This applies to lots of things besides cooking.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Focus on establishing HABITS that keep you on track, instead of relying on motivation to keep you going. You will never be motivated all the time. So if you’re only showing up when you feel like it, you’ll never accomplish anything 🤷🏻‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Set your future self up for success. SHOW UP for yourself, even when you desperately prefer watching Netflix to washing dishes. This quote right here was something very hard for me to grasp! I was used to going all the time and taking care of others, putting everyone else before me. Now years later life taught me that when you don’t take care of yourself you loose sense of who you are Make yourself a priority, start your journey one day at a time, one decision at a time. Giddy because we are heading to a pumpkin patch today 🎃 One thing I am trying to be conscious of is giving myself one day. Just one day out of the week where I commit to no obligations, do things that fill me with joy, and honestly just do whatever the hell I feel like. Somedays its spending all day in a coffee shop then a book store, maybe its waking up before the sun to get to a trail before it gets busy and then getting lost in the woods, one day I didn't get out of pajamas all day. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Do whatever it is. Whatever it is to give yourself time to rejuvenate, destress, and be with yourself. 💛 Today I watched the sunrise, we are going to a pumpkin patch and then on a hike. 🙏 Remember you are the most important because you can't help anyone if you are not helping yourself. 😊
