With less than two weeks to go I need to work on my endurance and get my body used to burning and keep pushing through. This was me a few weeks ago, apologies for those that are squeamish and who don’t like half naked fat blokes but this is a size I’m never going back to. My weight has been up and down since I was 18 and I feel like I’ve always been on a diet. I’m nearly 40 now and I’ve finally realised that it’s not about being on a diet it’s about eating to feel well, eating to nourish and sustain. This year is different to the others as this time it is going to stick. One of my fav routines that really targets shoulders and back (and core from bracing) before my workout. Im personally limited with my ROM on the last hi/low exercise but would like to see more reach. Keep this routine as a #muscleactivation drill - 3 sets of 5 reps each exercise - dont go too heavy with the tension and maintain a constant tension/smooth tempo. . Lat Pull down 5 sets 8-12 reps, 3 seconds holds to failure on set 5 . BB Row 5x5, today I went for bent over variation . Close Grip low cable 5 sets 8-12 reps, 3 seconds holds to failure on set 5 . Single Arm Row 5x5, I’ll vary this between DB and hammer strength . Straight Arm Lat Pull Down 4x8-12, I’ll vary this between a wide grip and a rope attachment .
