#thursdayworkout ✔️ Didn't have a lot of time for a longer workout tonight and since I had too little in the tank yesterday after leg day, I didn't do the core work I wanted to. So did it today. I did Days 1, 2, & 3 of the Five Day Strong & Sexy Ab Challenge with @bodyrocktv_lisamarie exclusively on @sweatflix_bodyrock.tv. I'm most likely going to revisit this several times. I almost had a mishap though, I'm more weak on my left side and almost fell flat on my face in the side plank crunch variations. But felt so very good. 🔥Core Transverse Stability Training🔥 ❗️Cable Chop Down❗️ 🏀 Core stability provides a stable foundation which allows for controlled and safe movement distal to the core such as arms and legs. 🏀 It is also an important contributor in maintaining dynamic joint stability in the kinetic chain during locomotion. Here is one of our favorite core exercises which is the chop up. 🏀 The key points here is that there should be a distinct pull and push action without altering the position of the torso. A common misconception is that core workouts are better if done faster to get more reps in (although probably a general fitness misconception regardless of muscle focus)...I mean if you’re watching someone do crunches or sit-ups, they’re most likely going on speed INSTEAD of focusing on engaging every core muscle. Here’s an example of how engaging every single core muscle can make those abs stronger and more defined! These are decline sit-ups with a 15lbs. medicine ball. These can be modified without the medicine ball and on flat ground. I am lifting my torso from my center, vertebrae by vertebrae, almost as if I’m being pulled straight up by the ball itself. Try to hold your core at the top and not arch your back when lifting the ball above your head. Let’s talk motivation. Its not easy to stay motivated. It’s really not easy to want to get up early and get a workout in. Here’s what helps motivate me- 1. My coach- @amcguire87 watching her as she moves through her workouts motivates me to do mine. Watching her meal prep lets me know how to and want to also. 2. My team. Many of whom all try out the same workout program and see it through at the same time. These ladies wake up, workout, meal prep, struggle, just as we do. This is what I’ve gained through the Beachbody community. A group of like minded women all showing up and trying to be stronger each day. Today was a little different focus. Starting my new type of challenge for myself. Looking to level up my core and upper body as I focus on a variety of holds and planks. I did these about 8xs each excercise and then focused on hanging leg lifts with weight with knees to chest. I will start incorporating these into my workout.. morning workouts 현민이와 근협이와 함께한 아침운동 vid (low bar 75kg, 60kg * 5 reps, sumo deadlift 110kg -failed , core workouts ) 👻Ooo and i cut my hair its distracting me studying . low bar 75kg, now i dont feel it very hard, but still 80kg scared me and i failed. guess i gotta find my own bar position and stance with 70-75kg that supports me well. i was not planning to do some deadlifts, but for my friends were doing some sets of it, i tried 110kg, and..... as my pr was 105 (and ive done it 2 times only), i was badly suspecting myself before i go............... my rounded back tells it.....😔😣.... gonna do some 100kg next couple of times, and after i got 3reps of 100kg, i will try 110kg. i dont know when, for i will now focus on some cardioes ( may be.....) and core workouts,,,, . to train abs ive done some weighted core workouts and then directly went through captains leg raise..
