Moral support when calling the doctor (yes from my bed 🙈) The good news it is not a flare up 🙏🏼✨ Keep on resting and staying positive. I can do this! 🖤

#soñandoser #locosfelices #lavidaesunviaje #quenosquitenlobailao #nomorirenelintento #happy #sonreir #crohns

Dinner was delicious 🤤🖤 I think your either a salmon lover or your not and I love it! 👌🏻

Beautiful sunrise this morning (taken from my bathroom window!). I'd still rather be in bed. I was supposed to be going to @dreamtoysuk today with some pals but, alas, I'm too poorly - again. I missed out on @fantasticbeastsmovie with @whingewine last night too - sorry mate. Thing is with chronic illness you can be fine one day (or hour, or minute) and the next you're not. But I've been feeling pretty crap for a few months now, with the odd few days respite. I have an MRI next week to see what's going on so hopefully that'll shed some light. Anyway, enough about me. It occurs to me I tell everyone about me but don't ask about you! How are you? What are your plans today?

Cada mente y cuerpo es diferente. Every mind and body are different. The ONLY reason I ever look back is to see how far I've come. Whenever I start to let those negative thoughts creep in, I take a step back and realize I may not be where I want to be, but I'm a hell of a lot farther than I used to be! I don’t drink alcohol (at least right now) because of the pain it causes me. But, I still love to go out with friends. This was a mocktail from the other weekend. What’s your go to mocktail or alcoholic drink if your body is ok with it? 🍸🥂

Do you ever just throw things you need to use in a pan and hope for the best? That’s what I did here and it paid off! Purple cabbage, onions and brussel sprouts all sautéed in a delicious trio. I ate about half a plate of this and it tasted so good. 👌

It's funny how the world has changed since I was a teenager. I remember my first AOL profile, carefully monitored by my dad to be sure I didn't reveal too much personal information. - - - Now here I am as an adult posting pictures of myself in my pajamas on my professional business account all in the name of authenticity 🤦 - - - This is a favorite t-shirt of my husband's from when we were dating. I'm winding down for the night even though it's only 8:00 pm here in California. - - - Classical music playing, twinkly lights illuminating, essential oils diffusing, book reading, and mind calming. The slowness of Fall is intentional and something I try not to fight as my body wants to hibernate a little. - - - I'm set on making my world a little smaller for the rest of the year as I turn my energy inward for some energy conservation and healing. If you'd like some support in practicing new self-care tools for yourself, check out the link in my bio.

tw: suicide ||| a year ago today I attempted suicide. I’ve attempted three times but the second attempt is still so vivid in my mind because the suicidal ideation and depression were so unbelievably desperate and the attempt wasn’t impulsive, it was after days and weeks of agonizing pain and suicidal ideation. I ended up overdosing and later vomiting the pills. Most of the time I’m glad I got through it but it’s complicated. I still struggle with suicidal ideation daily. It’s an everyday part of my BPD and the ever present anxiety and depression. My migraine is a huge part of it too. As time goes on and I feel more and more isolated from the rest of the world and my chronic pain doesn’t get better I wonder how much longer I can stand it. It’s a daily battle. I take it day by day. I survive by the hour. I get through it. And as much pain as I’ve had to deal with in the last year, there has been joy too. It’s hard to think that it’s been a year and I’m not in much better a place than where I started but I have to believe it will get better. I have a purpose here. I have reasons to stay.

#cannagodquestions 1.What does Canna God Grow mean? It's just a play on the lyrics "Can I live 🎶" combined with the idea that self is part of the everything aka God. The name represents the fight to fully legalize cannabis. 2. Do I smoke everyday and why? First the backstory.. Up until my mid to late 20s, I never smoked cannabis and I even tried discouraging others from using it. After I was diagnosed with crohns, I was always feeling nauseous. One day a friend came over and peer pressured me into smoking for the first time. Within 5 minutes, the nausea was gone. To add, over the years, battling a diseased body while going through the day to day is quite tiring. Insomnia kicked in and I realized smoking helps with that as well as whenever I have cramps. All these reasons to say, yes I smoke everyday and those are the reasons why. 3. Would I recommend cannabis to someone? I'd much rather tell them my experience, pros and cons, and let them decide. 4. Is growing weed easy? I don't grow weed, I grow soil. It just so happens that marijuana plants are growing in it 😊. Growing soil indoors is delicate. DM if you have specific question. #story #crohns #grow #journal #different #questions #medical #marijuana #weed #health #introvert #community #coco #soil #gravol #salofalk #lifestyle

#calltopost - Gratitude • When I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 2015, gratitude was not a word that came to mind. I was angry, anxious, confused, depressed, and scared • Since then, I’ve worked hard to change my perspective and shift my attitude towards Crohn’s. After surgery in August 2018, something clicked for me. I no longer wanted to be a victim of this chronic disease but an advocate, example, and inspiration for others with similar conditions • I’m now grateful for Crohn’s because I know God is using me to reach more people and initiate positive change for others. I’m grateful for all the amazing people I’ve met and connected with in the Crohn’s and Chronic Illness community, drawing strength and motivation from others stories • While I’m doing better since surgery, I still have tough days. There are days when I don’t want to train, work, or go to school, days when I really feel the effects of Crohn’s. Instead of giving in and feeling sorry for myself, I choose to be grateful for what I have and what I get to do. I get to train, I’m able to work, I’m privileged to go to grad school and work towards an MBA • Changing your perspective is the first step to changing your life for the better. Be grateful for the loved ones in your life, what you have, and what you’re able to do. Pick yourself up, shift your mindset, and choose gratitude today, everyday. God bless • • Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

🤔Is it possible to recuperate from #autoimmunedisorders? For 5 1/2, years, Lyndi has been battling #crohns. The nightmare started when she had the HPV Guardasil vaccine. Her mom, Tiffany, said: "I should have researched it; it nearly cost my child her life!" Lindy had 6 organ failures, and she went septic 3rd spacing, resulting in a ileostomy bag at the age young age of 18. A couple of days ago, she had exploratory surgery to see if her body had any signs of Crohn’s to decide if they could reverse her ileostomy bag. After 2 years of taking a molecule, the doctor said “there are no signs of Crohn’s.” Lyndi no longer has a severe case of yeast inside every organ from being in septic shock and no need to be high IV antibiotics. The doctor said “I don’t know how, but miraculously there are no signs of the disorder; she is so healthy..." Drugs, antibiotics, chemicals, etc. were not helping Lyndi! This pure immunity molecule that breaks the blood brain barrier and heads straight to the white blood cells did! This is not a vitamin, mineral, or herb...It's a molecule! #mondayinspiration #inspirationmonday #chronsdisease #chronssucks #chronswarrior
