Battle of Britain Throwdown 2018 update. - I have now got qualifier #1 out of the way and managed to find my lungs again it was time to try qualifier #2. My current standing is 207 (out of 210) after the first workout. I’m not overly fussed about my ranking because I now that I gave that first qualifier everything I had and that’s my victory. I’ve now set my sights on qualifier #2 which is: - 3 min max row 1 min rest EMOM ascending C+J ladder starting at 50kg. (Add 10kg each min till you get to 80kg, then add 5kg until you cannot complete the C+J the minute). - I decided to try this workout first to see where I could be better to try and improve my scoring. My scores thus fare are: - Row: 826 meters in 3 mins. C+J: 50kg, 60kg, 70kg. I managed to clean 80kg but just couldn’t jerk it. - I will increase my pace on the last minute of the row. The first few strokes will be enough to get me into a decent pace. I’ll try and keep that pace before pushing it enough in the last 60 to 45 seconds. How totally awesome is my Mum!!! We practiced the #barbell #deadlift for the first time today. My mum was 60 in July and after years of no sports has taken up yoga! There is no age limit on #fitness fitness is #life ❤️😍😍 We should all learn to Deadlift! Why? Because lifting and picking things up properly is something we should apply to everyday objects. 😃 I cannot put in to words how proud I am of my mum for trying this today.. ❤️ After this video she lifted a few more and got a real feel for it.. "So I’ve just finished a 2 month trial of the supplement called GLC2000 which aims to improve the health of joints and connective tissues. After opting not to have surgery on my torn rotator cuff, torn labrum and torn cartilage I was looking for ways to reduce the pain and aggravation in my shoulder from training whilst I rehabbed it and built it stronger again.
