Barbell Deadlifts and variations there of are amazing compound exercises that stimulate the glutes, core, arms, back, hamstrings.... Squat: 700/317.52kg(x1) 675/306.18kg(2x1) 655/297.1kg(3x1) 625/283.5kg(3x1) I need to fix this whole thing with my left wrist!! I can't seem to keep it straight under the bar and it is negatively impacting my squat. As the weight increases so does the pain in my extended left wrist! Not going to lie, I’m super excited for the next couple of weeks and see what I can bring to the platform!!! I hit deadlifts yesterday! 355lbs for 2 sets of 3 (second set only got 2) but I’ll take that! Definitely a PR since the last time I tried this, it was 350lbs with straps. Then hit squats today at 265lbs. I’ve been sick the last couple of days but still had to get my lifts in! I’m bound and determined to reach my goals!! Thanks to the help of an awesome coach! Moving the weight vs following the feel Since I am neither a strength athlete nor a fitness model, I like to alternate between both methods of training. When your goal is to move as much weight as possible, keep your focus on proper form and appropriate recovery time between sets. Repost @dr.jacob.harden I get asked a lot about what can be done for tightness or tension in the low back. There are actually a ton of options to help, and these are 3 of my favorites. . 🔹️BREATHING You've probably heard the terms right or flight and rest and digest before. What these actually refer to are your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. Stress ramps up our sympathetic system and can lead to more muscle tone and feelings of tension. Deep breathing will tone down the sympathetic system and ramp up the parasympathetic, getting you more into rest and digest mode and helping relax tense muscles. . 🔹️BANDED CAT/COW The cat/cow is a wonderful exercise for spine health and movement, but most people move completely through the thoracic spine (midback). By adding a band, we can get your low back moving and feeling loosened up. . 🔹️PRONE PRESS UP Sometimes feelings of tightness in the back actually comes from spending a bunch of time in flexion. Think sitting at your desk or laying on your couch. And in that case, pushing into some extension can be exactly what the doctor ordered. . I like to use all 3 of these in sequence as a morning or nightly routine or even a post workout cool down. Try them out and see how that low back feels! . Tag a friend with a tight lower back and share the wealth! . PS...let me know what you think of the video style.
