I gotta admit, last week kicked my ass. Not only was I sick, but my job which is a pretty demanding job as it is, decided to punch me in the face all week. I barely had the energy to get through the day, let alone workout. Today all I wanted to do was get a heavy ass lift in early and then have the rest of the day to lounge around with my bae. Welp, I’m doing exactly that. Finished training early with @marcorivera12 and now couldn’t be happier to be in sweat pants for the rest of the day. (Also very lucky I didn’t plan to do any activities today cuz I literally crawled outta the gym #deathbylegday 😅 note to self: never tell Marco ‘lets go heavy today’) . . . . Sorry for the butt shot but these two were delaying me, arguing who should stand on the sled! Lmao! (Payback clearly) 🤣 . As I always say, I love working out with @ortiz_stephanie as she pushes me to lift heavier, go faster, keep breathing lmao, and to never stop. If you don’t have a workout partner who you drives you then you either need to find one OR fire the one you currently have. But I will say, this one has been hanging out with me a little too much lately as my coaching techniques are rubbing off on her . Miss Stephanie is turning the big ole 26 on Sunday so we wanted to end this week out on a bad ass note and trust me, we did. My legs felt like jello right after the workout and only have gotten worse as the night continues. Gave it all we got until the very last second of . Destroyed it. We definitely earned what we will eat tomorrow at her birthday dinner. Proud of you girly and a early happy happy birthday to you! I hope 25 was kick ass but I hope you aim for the starts during year 26. Love you sass ❤️ . Tag your workout partner and try a partner sled push next workout!!! Just make sure you don’t have to walk much the next day #dynamicduoworkout

Hit some legs (finally after like a year and a half of being friends😂) with Alene bean🥰 Proceded to flop down some stairs by mirror lake trying to walk home but I didn’t face plant so that’s a small victory🥇 . I have my third and final organic chem lab final today, and next week I have 3 more😤👊🏻 I expect to do well on 2 of them and totally blow the third, so at least that won’t be a surprise when it happens! I’m feeling sweaty, upsety, and bloated from all the stress but this time next week things will be more chill and I can finally relax😎 . ⬇️ • Leg press- 5x10 (don’t pee yourselves this is a legitimate concern) • Superset ▶️Step ups- 4x8 each leg ▶️Squats- 4x10 (Alene did goblet, I just kept the barbell on my back and went straight into back squats. Pick your poison) • Walking lunges- 3x24 (12 each leg) (oof) • Hip thrusts- 3x15 w/ 3-4 count pause • Leg extensions w/ toes rotated in- 3x10 (poor Alene thought I said toe extensions when I suggested these and was v confused)(a girls gotta be able to perch in the trees and grasp the branches #functionalfitness ) . . Ok anyways as always keep killing it in the gym and/or on your finals, friends!!!

First post in about 2 weeks. So per my story I promised an explanation to my hiatus. The truth is I’ve just been busy. I worked the entire week of thanksgiving and the weekend. I’ve been Christmas shopping. Bae came to visit for a weekend. Life happens. However my break from my fitsta has given me mixed feelings on wanting to use it... I have missed the pride I have in sharing my workouts but I don’t miss the pressure I felt to post daily, the comparison game I felt scrolling through Instagram, or the time consuming process of editing posts and videos. I put a poll on my story back about combining my personal and fitness instas and it’s beginning to seem like a better and better idea. I shouldn’t pretend like my personal life and my workouts aren’t one in the same. Truthfully working out has become a chore in the recent weeks rather than the highlight/relief of my day so I haven’t had much to post about. I’ve had some extra stress and personal setbacks putting a damper on my usual self-motivation. Here’s a nice quad focused leg day for y’all :) Also, is this the first picture I’ve posted actually looking at the mirror?? I think it might actually be. Wow🥺 Aside from that, happppy Friday! H2G I needed the weekend because this week really actually murdered me. I just cleared my eye infection (I haven’t worn makeup or contacts since Monday RIP) and now I have a cold🤧 This is my 4th cold so far so if the RPAC plague could stop mutating and evading my immune system that’d be great. Speaking of being sick, my heart rate always gets wild and my endurance goes to hell with a cold so this workout was way harder than it needed to be on top of already being terrible. My legs yeeted out from under me three times before I left🙌🏻 ⬇️ • Trap/hex bar deadlift- 4 sets; 12, 10, 8, 8 (My form do not be the best- I have issues sitting deep enough so I lowered some weight to try to do less of the pull with my back- also I have almost no arch in my back standing straight up and down so my back isn’t really bent it just stays like that naturally) • Single leg extension- 4x10 each leg w/ toe pointed IN (I found starting neutral then rotating in as I approached the top was most natural- this targets the outer portion of the quad); keep the movement steady and controlled • Superset: ▶️Calf raise machine- 3x15 ▶️Glute kickback machine- 3x10 each leg (squeeze ur ass at the top) • Close stance raised heel goblet squat- 4x8 (at this point my life flashed before my eyes)- stolen from @mydoubletapz • Close stance toes out (heels together) leg press- 4x12 . . Do you guys mind that I get descriptive in the workout portion of the caption or would you prefer I put it at the end as a footnote? Idk I usually forget added notes unless they’re right there with the exercise but let me know if you’d prefer them at the end :) *make sure sound is on for the second video some guy started grunting lol*
