Let me just say this pic means more to me than anyone reading this will understand. I’ve always considered myself a confident person but not unapologetically confident. Like yeah I’d wear crop tops but I’d make sure to wear a flannel. Yeah I’d color my hair but never cut it because I thought it made me look bigger. Now as my weight goes down and my confidence grows, I don’t feel the need for a flannel. I could go out in whatever I want and if it makes others uncomfortable, that’s their issue! Confidence is everything and being on this journey, your eyes open up and you see things so much clearer it’s crazy. So hopeful and excited to continue to work on being the best me. Among some of my favorites): @questnutrition Pepperoni pizza @smuckersbrand organic peanut butter (2 NC!) @monsterenergy Ultra Violet (tastes like grape soda!) @naturespathorganic Grain-free vanilla poppy seed “granola”. 4 NC for a 1/2 cup. THIS was the find of the night. I put it in my @twogoodyogurt Vanilla yogurt for breakfast this morning and went straight to keto heaven. The crunch and sweet I miss from cereal! So good. @realgoodfoods - pork enchilada version. I think I had this one in chicken before and it was meh but I had heard to give the pork one a try... so giving it another go. :) @tazo Glazed lemon loaf tea. Wish there was an easier way to peel butternut squash, but it is worth the work to make delicious butternut squash fries. Lightly coated with olive oil cooking spray and sprinkled with some seasoning (I like seasoned salt and pepper to start but also add anything from Italian seasoning, chili powder and garlic powder. You can choose whatever suits your taste). Can’t quite get them as crispy as I would like in the oven. Anyone make them in an air fryer? Still considering that as my next kitchen purchase. Either way they are delicious and are a perfect side for my next post which is my favorite meal so far. Can’t wait to share the final product. While I try to be optimistic it’s unfortunate that the place individuals come to get a hold of their health and fitness is the very place that typically frustrates, confuses, overwhelms & even takes their money. - Can you imagine dropping off your car to a professional and worrying about their quality of work, researching if what they’re saying is true, or being charged for things that require little to no work. It’s not on the consumer to deal with that. It’s hard enough to commit to change. - I dont know who this message is for, but I just want to encourage you. The ONLY thing you need to bring to the table when you’re ready to change your lifestyle is the discipline toward the right things. Your job is not to figure out what the “right things” are. That’s on the professional who hopefully is relentlessly pursuing the most optimal approach from the trenches. - Before you seek professional guidance or pay anyone, start making an effort in these 5 categories: 1️⃣track your daily food intake. This is our checks and balances system. This is how we begin to understand how to to budget movement 🏃🏻‍♂️ and fuel ⛽️. 2️⃣work out and move consistently. Find things you enjoy that are active & create a standard (3 workouts + 2 nights of basketball). 3️⃣stop treating your sleep as a side chick. She’s more important than that! Prioritize your sleep & develop a plan that helps you shut down. What you do leading up to bed time drives the quality of sleep & furthermore your recover the following day. 4️⃣come up with a system no matter how short or long that helps your body to recover. This can include physical therapy, massage, stretching, foam rolling, epsom salt bath, yoga, ice baths & deep breathing to name a few. 5️⃣we rise and fall to the level at which people (especially our own self-talk) speak about us. Make sure you speak life into yourself. A simple example is, “Even when I don’t feel like workout out (your name) is the type of MF that does it anyways & brings 100%.” - Get a handle on these 5 areas of your life & progress will be unreal. If you decide you’d like to take it further, then think about hiring a coach. - #unchainedpotential #unchaineddiet

I love a snack 😍 Current go to is yoghurt, berries & PB but this morning I added some extra goodness thanks to @datemate.nz . . I’ve found that if I can be flexible & add variety to my diet I am more likely to not get board & therefore stay consistent but most importantly keep sane!! For a long time I literally ate the same thing in & our (especially while competing). Then I worried if I ever ate off plan 😅 Don’t get me wrong I still make a plan & aim to be as consistent as possible...I just make the goods fit too👌🏼

Yes. ⠀ ⠀ Beating numbers is brilliant, but in order to achieve hypertrophy, you need to fatigue the muscle to mechanical failure via time under tension with a reasonable load. ⠀ ⠀ For example, a powerlifter aims to shift a heavy weight from A to B as efficiently as possible for a single rep, maybe 2 - whereas the bodybuilder will use a slightly lower weight (around 85% of 1rm) and train to failure. There’s a basic enough explanation of it.⠀ ⠀ On a personal note, I am looking a bit leaner at the moment - which goes againsf general principles of me reducing cardio duration and increasing food intake. The conclusion is obviously that the increased total energy balance I now have is increasing the intensity of my train sessions, which equals more calories burned. LEGS ✅⠀ ⠀ On a high after today’s Legs session. Went in blitzed seated Hamstring curls for 2 top sets and a double dropset. ⠀ ⠀ Next minute @jack_thorburn asks if I want to jump in on the horizontal Leg Press. First time using it, so form wasn’t 100% on the money, especially trying to adjust to the unilateral aspect of it. However; this was taken from the top set. ⠀ ⠀ More focus needed on the eccentric control and a bit more depth needed. When performing the movement, you don’t feel much concentric contraction, controlling the eccentric phase, however, completey blitzed the Quads. ⠀ ⠀ One of the best decisions i’ve made is to start training at a different gym. Surrounding myself with like-minded individuals who have the same goal(s)! ⠀ Time to rest up and go back in for Push tomorrow! ⠀ ⠀ ⁣I still have Online Coaching spots available.
