Lately I’ve suffered from a few annoying injuries and I’ve also been ill coming into the New year. I found it very difficult wanting to train but not being able to, I’m back training now and I’ve never been happier. My ankle’s still to sore to do anything on my lower body. I decided to work on strength seriously in September/October of 2018. Back then I could just manage 5 clean pull ups with 10kg weight. # Over Christmas and New Year I had a rest from two solid blocks of hard strength training and decided to focus more on volume. # I’m just starting to introduce a bit of strength training alongside the main endurance focus. Basically just to maintain any gains I’ve made. # Imagine my surprise when I managed to pull 4 neutral grip pull ups with 20kg - for three sets! # Last week I could just do two! # Hard work, patience and taking rest where needed plus changing focus all help to progress. # Massive thanks to the guys at @schoolofcalisthenics for their support, excellent classes, excellent videos, tutorials and friendly words of advice! # I consider this one of my impossibles redefined. LE DIPS MUSCOLI COINVOLTI: Le Dips sono racchiuse all’interno di una categoria di esercizi calistenici (a corpo libero) che spesso vengono eseguiti anche in ambito di fitness ed in palestra. È un esercizio che stimola e rafforza diversi muscoli della parte superiore del corpo tra i quali tricipite brachiale, grande pettorale e deltoide anteriore. ESECUZIONE: Le Dips alle parallele comprendono la variante più popolare di questo esercizio, il soggetto deve posizionarsi tra le barre impugnandole saldamente con le mani. La posizione di partenza prevede le braccia tese, gomiti estesi e corpo in sospensione in equilibrio. Il movimento è suddiviso in 2 fasi: la prima, di discesa controllata del busto in verticale tramite il piegamento dell’avambraccio sul braccio, approssimativamente attorno ad un livello di flessione del gomito di 90°; La seconda fase, di risalita, prevede l’estensione dei gomiti fino a tornare alla posizione di partenza. RESPIRAZIONE: Solitamente l’inspirazione avviene durante il mantenimento della posizione di partenza o durante la discesa del busto (fase 1), mentre l’espirazione avviene nella fase di risalita (fase 2). ERRORI DA EVITARE: La discesa del busto durante l’esercizio è dettata dalla mobilità dell’articolazione della spalla; scendere eccessivamente può causare dei danni all’articolazione. La testa deve seguire la verticale formata dal busto e quindi non subire inclinazioni di svariato genere, per aiutarsi è opportuno mantenere lo sguardo fisso avanti. Sono in molti a sostenere che le dips possano essere eseguite in modalità diverse per enfatizzare maggiormente l’attivazione del grande pettorale o dei tricipiti, variando la traiettoria del braccio e l'inclinazione del busto, altri sostengono che la larghezza dell’impugnatura e di conseguenza quella dei gomiti possa influenzare nuovamente l’attivazione di alcuni distretti muscolari; per il momento non ci sono evidenze scientifiche che permettano di accertare con sicurezza queste varianti.
