Haven't done one of these in a long time. Physique update: at the heaviest I have been in a very long time. Have put on a lot of muscle and some fat. Happy with my new muscle but disappointed with the fat. But I guess it's all part of growing and improving. Honestly I am shocked with how much I weigh right now when I look back at older photos of me at the same weight! Anyway my goal this holiday is simple... enjoy but do not become a walrus. I have a sweet tooth like you could not imagine!!! SUPERSETS for core strength 🙌🏻 . . . Do you incorporate supersets into your routine?! If not you should!! . P.s. supersets are not limited to core moves, in fact I do supersets a lot when training legs and upper body as well. It just happened to be core and cardio training today with @jenselter #fullbodylifestyleguide on @fitplan_app (link is in my bio 😊) so thought I'd share some basic core moves that can be intensified by reducing the rest time between two exercises. Reducing that rest time keeps that muscle group under tension (That's where that intensity comes in) and allows you to get more work in, in less time!!👌 Keep in mind these are only 2 of the core moves I did today. So add this in to any core routine or use it as an ab finisher but it's is not intended to be an entire workout!! . Side plank hip raises are a basic core move. You can add weight to pump up that intensity even more but it works great as a bodyweight exercise. It's focus is core strength and muscles groups targeted include obliques, glutes, delta, lower back, triceps and hips!! . Side plank rotation is another bodyweight core move (yes, weight can be added to up that intensity) it's focus is improve balance, boost endurance and increase core strength!! Obliques are the main target with this move but it also works the glutes, lower back, shoulders and those deep abdominal muscles!! .
