This was a fun creation the other day :) break-fast paleo-style pizza after intermittent liquid fasting most of the day 🙂 . Im playing around with which hours are the best for my intermittent fasting ‘eating hours’ — around 4-9pm is what im aiming for with liquids, coffee/cacao creations and lots of H2O to sustain my energy and focus the rest of the day — im experiencing increased energy, focus, and digestive improvement from these changes 🌱 . Some may question fasting for fears of feeling overwhelmed with hunger — hunger hormones are temporary, and doesn’t increase over time when we refrain from eating, it comes at certain times and can be retrained; the body begins to tap into its own energy sources as well so we don’t feel hungry after a pretty small period of time 💚 . . #breakfast #paleopizza #paleo #diet #digestion #health #fasting #intermittentfasting

Please do not believe that you MUST fast for success in an LCHF diet. I don’t. I’ve had success. Everyone is different so some people want to fast or feel they need to fast. In that case, please do it. But if you don’t enjoy #fasting (which I don’t) or struggle with fasting, then please know you need not do that. . . Keto may free you from having to eat frequently and therein may it easier to manage a busy schedule and practice intermittent fasting from time to time by necessity or convenience. But it isn’t an inextricable link. Today has been one heck of a day. I went on two walks, took my two youngest kids shopping, and then checked in to a hotel. Yep you read that right. I decided to take a couple days to myself. I never do anything for myself, I felt guilty and so emotional doing this, even cried on the way here. But I’m so glad I did. I decided to do a water fast while I’m here and the last time I ate was 5 pm today and I won’t eat again until Tuesday around 11:30 am. I know it’s a short fast but I feel like it’s a good start to helping me feel better. I also saw someone else on here uses an app called My Weight to track their weight loss so I decided to try it. I wish I had known about it from the beginning because my start weight on the app isn’t my actual highest weight. While here I decided to also take a few pictures of myself that are out of my comfort zone. I’ve been really into the DIY beauty lately. In my winter hibernation I’ve been playing with at home skin care with clinical tools such as pumpkin enzymes, lactic acid and this handy dandy MICRONEEDLE ROLLER! It’s actually called a derma roller, but basically is home-safe microneedling. It is essentially poking hundreds of little holes in the skin to trigger increased collagen production. And here’s the kicker.. IT ACTUALLY WORKS. Yep you just clean it with 90% alcohol before and after use, wash your face and roll it over your face in every direction. It doesn’t hurt, but it does work and helps your skin care products absorb better. I follow mine with hylauronic acid and vitamin C serum. You can see results within a couple of weeks and it continues to improve! I do it every other night. Best results from .5mm- 1mm needles.
