Three year difference. Sleep deprived with a newborn > sleep deprived with a toddler. Haha not my heaviest. I think I was around 240 right after having her. Gained roughly 20-30 lbs over the following year between breastfeeding (because the hanger was REAL) and general laziness. I love seeing how much my face has changed in the last couple of years. Here are a few tips for those of you who can’t stand the idea of doing any cardio. Good news, it’s not a necessity when it comes to getting lean :) Here’s what you should do: - ✅ Eating fewer calories than you expend each day from good quality whole food sources - ✅ Increasing your NEAT (the energy expended for everything we do that is not sleeping, eating or sports-like exercise) i.e. walking more, taking the stairs instead of elevator, cleaning the house, hitting more daily steps than normal etc - ✅ Staying properly hydrated (drinking approx .5oz of water per lb of bw + water a day - however dependant for individual) - ✅ Eating adequate protein to support muscle growth and recovery (target 1g per pound of bodyweight) - ✅ Strength training revolving around compound lifts 3-5x per week - ✅ Doing more fun things in your free time to reduce stress! - ✅ Being patient with the journey and realizing that it won’t be perfect every day

Today marks three months since I started this process (again). Figured maybe a re-introduction was in order. Plus, it’s #facetofacefriday, so why not? 20 lbs between these pics. Hi. My name is Erin. I spent most of my life in New Hampshire, but made the crazy decision to move to Puerto Rico in April. ¡Buen día! I have always struggled with my weight and BED/sugar addiction - and I mean always. I started stealing food and hiding the evidence when I was around 8-years-old. I don’t remember my weight until high school, which was around 160, but it got up to 260 in my twenties, yo-yoing up and down over the years. In 2011-2012 (in my mid-30s), I went on a mission of self-education about nutrition, totally changed what I was eating, got my food demons under control, took up running, and got very close to my high school weight - down almost 100 pounds from my highest. At the time, I was also a crazed workaholic, spending 60+ hours a week with a sociopathic narcissist boss whose insidious emotional abuse, coupled with a lifetime of other unaddressed trauma, finally hit me, leading to what I refer to as my “meltdown”. It was the worst year of my life. A complete crash and burn. As I recovered in the years that followed, I re-gained, re-lost and re-re-gained weight. In 2016, I was close to my lowest again when I got hit with some acute mystery illness that absolutely ravaged my body. Within a week, I had moderate to severe arthritis in every single joint, which has greatly affected my physical activity and quality of life. Between steroids, inactivity, and emotional eating, my weight shot up yet again. So now I’m a self-employed 40-year-old expat trying to get a handle on not just my weight, but my overall well-being. Trying to figure out how to get the most out of my body, which feels completely fucked up and broken most days, while still respecting its limits. Trying to learn self-love and self-acceptance not just for my body, but for my mind. Trying to get the hang of boundaries. Trying to learn to say “no”. Trying to heal my whole self, not just one part. And hoping maybe to inspire and encourage others along the way. Thanks for following my journey. ☺️

HOW I LOSE BODY FAT . I eat proteinnnnnn!!!🤪 . 99% of the people I work with are consuming 50% or less of the daily protein they need to burn fat and gain lean muscle. You need roughly 20-25g of protein every 2-3 hours to keep your body in a fat burning state. Now I know you are thinking… that seems like an awful lot doesn’t it? It's because you're focused on the wrong things. ⠀ Every single person starting a new fitness plan has a physical or measurable goal. ⠀ Usually, something around wanting to lose “x” number of pounds, lose “x” amount of inches, fit into “x” size whatever jeans... ⠀ I'm not saying that's bad. There ain’t nothin’ wrong with having physical goals. ⠀ The problem comes when you investing all of your expectation and motivation into achieving those things… ⠀ Reason being, physical results are volatile. ⠀ No matter how "perfect" your plan is, you’ll never have a ton of control over how quickly (or slowly) your body decides to change. ⠀ Unrealistic expectations are what ultimately fail most people. Woke up this am feeling pretty great. The scale is moving and I’m finally in ketosis!! Been monitoring my macros religiously since the second, and IF has been 16/8 & 18/6 since then as well. . I need to remember to track everything and not get comfortable “thinking” I’m doing it right. . Consistency is soooo important when it comes to transforming your physique and fitness in general ✅ • If your going to do it properly and achieve the best goals, it’s got to be CONSISTENT!! ✅ • Training at a high level 3/4 times per week whilst consuming the right amount of calories and macros you WILL see MASSIVE changes and THE BEST results possible, aslong as you are CONSISTENT for 4-8 weeks depending on genetics 🧬 • Personally I advise people to take pictures every 4 weeks from the front, back and side in order to stay motivated when seeing the positive changes.. And then you can just keep going and make that 4 weeks into 8, into 16 into 20 and then were talking MASSIVE results.. Many of you (us- I admit it) are SMOOTHIE addicts... But physically sitting down and chewing is extremely important, so your body KNOWS you are actually EATING! Too many smoothies during the week are NOT good for you, as your brain and stomach don’t get the message it’s an actual meal... But you can have the same easy, satisfying breakfast by making an alternative #smoothiebowl. I love this QUICK and EASY, 5-MINUTE “Super Berry #smoothiebowl,” loaded with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and banana (fruits all low in sugar & Banana, packed with B vitamins for a mood booster and great morning energy) 🍌🍓 INGREDIENTS: 1 cup almond milk 1 and 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries 1 ripe banana 1/3 cup fresh spinach, loosely packed 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) 2 tablespoon flax or chia seeds (optional) TOPPINGS: 1 strawberry, sliced 1/4 banana, sliced 1/4 cup granola 1 teaspoon toasted pumpkin seeds Recipe inspiration from: @aheadofthyme 🙌🏻♥️ . David Lloyd gym I love you. I’m an absolute sucker for a well paired fruit salad! this beaut was 121 cals. Unplanned but hey still in my cals for today. Plus - I’m trying to eat more colourfully this week! The goal is to eat more of the rainbow and less of the snacks. Still working on it.✨
