What to follow: the scale, a tape measure, counting calories, the way your clothes fit? . Paleo, Keto, Whole30, fasting, gluten/soy/sugar/dairy/egg free? Do I do HIIT, steady state cadio/running, yoga, cycling classes, kickboxing, weight-training...the lists go on and on! . My answer? Yes! I love combinations of all of those! Science will always come out with and support some new study that contradicts the study that was the best thing since sliced bread the previous week. . My best advice? Know. Your. Body. You were made so uniquely that no BODY is exactly like yours. All bodies do need good nutrition and the best way to get that is through whole foods (i.e foods that come directly from nature) so you have to be honest with yourself there. And all bodies need some form of exercise...not only for what it makes you look like on the outside, but the myriad of physiological functions that happen on the inside! . But here’s the important part...do what gives YOU the best energy. What makes YOU look the best. What fits into YOUR schedule, YOUR taste buds, YOUR grocery store wheelhouse! Because being able to stick to a healthier you is what will be the best thing of all. . So tell me, what are some of your favorite ways to keep your body moving and healthy? One of my favorite things about being a coach and trainer is my clients. Watching them all progress is a humbling experience. Trainers aren’t just people who help you build a butt. I am a fitness professional, subject matter expert, therapist, confidant, friend and slave driver. Our job can be as mentally taxing as it is physical- there are plenty of days where I come home completely defeated from the day only to do it all over again ten hours later.
