Aujourd’hui, à la Chambre des communes, j’ai questionné le gouvernement sur l’expansion de l’oléoduc Trans Mountain. Il semblerait que ce projet deviendra une autre promesse brisée pour ce gouvernement libéral. // Today, at the House of Commons, I questioned the government about Trans Mountain expansion. Throwback of me about two years ago. This was part of a documentary series on APTFN called Taken @takentheseries about the missing and murdered Indigenous women in Canada. It was pretty wild for me because I played one of the murdered women. I didn’t know anything about the scene until I got there. When I went home and googled the name of the woman, Glenda Morriseau, I found out she was from my band, Sagkeeng First Nation. That hit close to home. It’s a heavy and said topic but I’m glad this show brings awareness to MMIW. . . #mmiw #indigenous #fn #takentheseries #taken #murdered #missingandmurderedindigenouswomen #indigenouswomen #sagkeeng #acting #awareness #socialjustice #canadian #aptfn #aboriginal #cdnpoli #reconciliation #trc #firstnations #cree #firstnation

I’ll probably repost this around Halloween but seriously, don’t dress up like a native. Feather headdresses are precious to our cultures and when I see a white woman wearing one it pisses me off to know ends. It’s blatant disrespect. #nativeamerican #nativeamericans #firstnations #firstnation #nativeamericanpride #firstnationpride #indigenous #indigenouspride
