🌞 HAPPY FRIYAY 🌞⠀ ⠀ ⠀ —⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Weekends for me USED to be splurging. I had done so good all week long, workouts & nutrition on point ✔️ but weekends were my ‘fun’ time. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ —⠀ ⠀ ⠀ I would DESTROY my progress each weekend because I was going all out on whatever I wanted. And I don’t believe in depriving yourself of ANYTHING. That’s where flexible dieting comes in BUT I do believe in MODERATION.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ —⠀ ⠀ ⠀ You can HAVE your cake & eat it to & still reach goals 😉. I plan a meal each week with hubby (usually Friday nights) where we just enjoy whatever we want. We don’t worry about what’s in it, how many portions we eat, macros, calories etc. Because it makes me train harder each week. And I LOVE food. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ —⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Food is NOT the enemy. Go into this weekend with INTENTION. Go in with a plan. To stay active, play with your kids, walk with Hubby, hike, bike... whatever it is that makes you happy. Drink tons of water and get in LOTS of good stuff 🍏🍌🍍🍇🥑🥕🌽🌶🥔🥦⠀ ⠀ ⠀ —⠀ ⠀ ⠀ And FORGIVE yourself when you mess up. Messing up once, twice, or for a full week doesn’t mean you should quit on your goals all together. This isn’t a sprint. The only way you’re going to reach those goals is if you never give up ❤️

#flexfriday is here - and, i spy 🕵🏼‍♀️ some major gains! 💯 Today is also day 3 into my “ Post Vacation - Getting Back on Track ” series. And, i wanted to share some things with you all. My vacation was so good for me and my relationship with food. Ask ANY one who has ever competed - your life revolves around food. What to eat, when to eat, how to eat it - LITERALLY every detail. But, i promised myself before we left that i would take a break from that stress. Mentally i needed a break. So my first step was not packing my food scale. I thought it was going to bring me anxiety. But, honestly - i was relieved. It was nice to go out and eat - and, we did a lot. And, it was nice not to worry - not even once about something weighing exactly 4 oz or how much fat/carbs and blah blah blah. I was just in the presence and moment with the ones i love - and, that meant so much! Now, don’t get me wrong - my ultimate goal was not to go on vacation and eat like garbage - because, that’s not what makes me feel good - but it was to go there and not have my world revolve around food! • • • So, since I’ve been home - what’s changed? Honestly - everything. I feel more motivated than ever. I’m not thinking about food every moment of every day. I’m hitting my macros spot on. My training is better than it has been in a long time. I’m not constantly thinking “When can i eat again?”. I’m learning there is so much more to life outside of “food”. As some one who has been competing for many years - i of course know this. But, doing 5 shows back to back in a years time made competing my sole focus and priority. And, it’s easy to get swept up and forget there is life outside of that. • • • Now - main point - here i am. 3 days back on track. Immediate changes. My digestion. (Obvi not everyone’s favorite subject - but, it’s real 💩) on vacation i don’t think there were a Lot of times where i was getting enough fiber - and, it makes a difference. My water retention has gone down significantly - why? Because my body no longer thinks I’m dying or dehydrated. It’s getting the nutrients it needs and all the H2O 💦 as well, I’ve cut alcohol out from my diet. (CONTINUED IN COMMENTS)

SOUND ON. Done with #keto for a while. Now I'm more like a 50/40/10 Carb Protein Fat. Carbs are not evil 😁 I was thinking this as I devour rice 😍 and oats. I love Time Bandits and think of this scene often. Finding my maintenance calories. +/- 500 call and I can loose/gain. I deal fuller on this diet. Keeping cal low enough to loose was tough on keto. Soll ich zu meinen Essens-Posts die kcal-Zahl in Zukunft dazu schreiben? Hier seht ihr mein wundervolles Mittagessen: eine Pizza mit Thunfischboden. Für den Boden einfach eine Dose (abgetropften) Thunfisch, 2 Eier und Gewürze vermischen, auf ein Backblech geben und 15min bei 180Grad backen. Some clips from leg day yesterday. My legs were completely useless after so I recommend trying this out 😛 when performing the third exercise (hyperextension I believe it’s called) you MUST do the ugly butt squeeze. Sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️ also, the last exercise is awesome for building up strength to do unassisted pistol squats. My legs are soooo sore today so SAVE this and try it out!
