Usually I listen to everything Shaun T tells me. Today is Day 1 of his new program Transform 20. Shaun T always says, “Make sure you have a towel” and I normally do. It’s just 20 minutes and 55 degrees in this room, who needs a towel? Wrong! It was over quickly and still got in a great sweat 😅 💦. Felt so great. Lesson learned. Well that was definitely a numbing experience! No way to describe how much my body hates the cold & I still convinced myself to do this. I’m glad I did it!! Tried to thank all the many volunteers along the route for being out there today & freezing for us. But my face & lips were so numb I could barely move my lips. I’m not kidding when I say I had slurred speech & not really sure they understood me. 🤣 Thanks to #jealousmonkmystic for feeding us a great breakfast afterwards!! 😋 First run complete for the Kelley’s Pace Trifecta. Just random last few week's training videos.I take my training to "extra" levels 😂❤ once before 225lb was my 1RM DL I now can rep 5+ as my down set. And I never thought I will be front squad 155lb for rep holding barbell front delts wrists bending backwards and keeping elbows up it was painfully awkward for me and weight felt really heavy at the upper body. Somedays are good somedays are challenging. And I am learning how to properly nourish my body for strengthening and recovery. How to take good rest balance my emotions and mental health. Work, training and family.Strength is a beauty my friends 💗 And it's nesesery to live our lives happily. So many of us born and die never discovered ones fully capability. Discipline... is the difference between Choosing what you want right now, and what you want most. It’s as simple as that... yet its the hardest thing to do. I want that glass of wine I want chocolate.. just this once I feel like ice cream I don’t feel like working out I want to stay up and watch Netflix until 2 in the morning.. HORMONES... What part do they play in weight gain, and how I feel about myself? Do I feel I want to rip someone’s head off? Why Am I tired all the time? Do I have trouble sleeping ? How can I deal with stress? How much coffee do I drink every day to give me energy? Do I starve myself? Do I have intense cravings? Do I feel the cold? Is my resting heart rate low? Hello, my name is Dora and I'm a gastric sleever..lol For those of you who don't know, I had my gastric sleeve surgery in May 8, 2018. My highest weight was 243 when I started my weight loss journey. I had hbp, gastritis, sleep apnea and was prediabetic. I knew it was time for a change when I could no longer drive comfortably due to being obese. I was always out of breath and I would constantly wake up coughing because I couldn't breath. THAT was scary. I needed help, so I decided on this surgery and it's the best decision that I have ever made. The only thing I regret is not doing it sooner. Starting weight 243 Pant size 18 Shirt 2xl Current weight 172 Pant size 8 Shirt size medium/large I am very happy and proud of my accomplishments. And NO, it's not the easy way out. There is nothing easy about having surgery which may have complications, learning to eat smaller portions and learning to drink before and after you eat, not while eating. #fitgma #gastricjourney #gastricsleeve

I find this time of the year, Christmas time really hard. I love Christmas... but to be honest, it always brings up old stories for me. Stories in my mind that I sometimes let in by mistake. Stories that I am still on my own, therefore there must be something wrong with me. Stories that I’m not normal . When you’re part of a “broken “ Family... everyone feels it. These stories make you feel so unloveable. So alone. Feeling like a failure. Feeling depressed. Did you know that depression is on the rise for 45-60 year old women. This is the age where so many changes occur. Life changes, divorce, menopause, kids leaving the nest, having to go back into the workforce, battling with weight, health and being totally out of shape. This is the age when women can feel at their lowest, when they should be feeling the best. I’ve been here... I know how it feels. And we cover it, we hide it... we don’t want anyone to see our pain as that shows us being weak and vulnerable. It’s time to change the story, out yourself in the right environment for success, identify who you are and who you want to be, and focus NOT on the stories that come up but the vision of who you want to become.
