I’ve had a lot of people messaging me today saying that they would “love to train with me if they just had the time”. I completely understand that we all have very busy lives and sometimes finding time to go to the gym can seem nearly impossible. Guess what?! I’m here to tell you that you’re not alone!!!! I am a personal trainer so it is my job to practice what I preach and stay in shape. It isn’t easy to juggle having a two-year-old daughter, running a household, seeing clients, planning diet and exercise plans, and also finding time to work out myself (not to mention meal prepping and making sure that I’m eating properly). Soooo ... I get creative 🙋🏼‍♀️🤗 I’m here to encourage you to do the same. A fit and healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean that you need to be in a 12 week prep for a competition. It means that you need to make DAILY healthy choices as to what you put in your body for fuel. You need to stretch and make sure that you remain limber. You need to do cardio to keep your heart strong yand get your blood flowing. You need to weight-train so that your muscles stay strong and can serve you the way that you need them to 💪🏼 If you don’t have time to go to the gym think of some ways that you can get your body in motion at home! You don’t need anything but a mat on the floor to stretch. For cardio you can run/jog/walk outside or even do a small circuit training workout inside to elevate your heart rate. Use your own bodyweight for exercises like push-ups, plank holds, air squats, lunges, sit-ups, etc. There are 1 million different things that you can do at home if you just get creative!! I’m not here just to try to sell you a workout package or meal plan or to try to convince you to come train with me… I’m here bc I really care. This is my career because helping people to have a healthy lifestyle is truly my passion. If you can’t make it to the gym, that’s totally OK! But still hold yourself accountable ☝🏼 Keep your body moving. It’s the only place we have to live for the rest of our lives!!!! Let’s try to keep it as strong and healthy as we can so that we can enjoy life to the fullest for as long as we’re alive 🙌

Almond Butter & Nana on Toast 🍌 : A lot of girls have asked me recently ‘What should I eat’... So my response, ‘What do you think you should eat?’.. There is no right or wrong, only better nutritious choices. : Here’s some tips from me; • ‘I cut it all out then I binge’ - wrong! 80/20 routine 80% nutritious foods 20% stuff less. E.G. If you love a Chocolate bar that is part of your 20%, account them calories into your daily intake. Just don’t binge on 4 more. • ‘I don’t like kale’ - don’t eat it! You don’t need kale to lose weight, it’s not a magical leaf 🍃 (can’t remember the last time I ate it?) • Make note of what your eating, weather it’s a spreadsheet, sticky note or using @myfitnesspal to track it will give you a guide of calories your eating • Is it going to fill you up? Try having a good mix of proteins fats carbs in your meals. E.G. oats protein and nut milk, salads packed with fresh veggies, some avo and choice of protein fish/meat/veggie source. • ‘If it’s on a shelf it’s probably not great for your Elf!’ - All puns aside, we have a lot of things on the shelf that mislead us. Look out on the labels, is that a bag of microwave rice? Or is it a microwave rice with sauce extra flavourings etc.. eh?
