Well.... what is YOUR why? My first “why” was 4 years ago. It was to gain myself back. It was as if I was a marionette being manipulated by the many “strings”. Two close pregnancies, exhaustion of both infant & toddler (I was tandem nursing) plus caring for my older children (ahhh, teenagers) caring for the home... financial stress (a killer in disguise), the loss of my brother- words cannot express and let’s add in Peri-menopause. I was not exercising at all. I was not paying attention to my diet. Wine was my sanity in a bottle. The mirror was there, yet I refused to truly see. I had to buy a whole new wardrobe (I gained nearly 20lbs) yet it did not register. Not enough. I saw myself, I was miserable but not enough to have me make any change. I was comfortable. Until the day came that I wasn’t. It was more than that photo (you know that photo, right? When you actually see yourself and go “wait? really??”) It was also being sick & tired of being sick & tired. I needed to do something... so I did. My why changed as the lifestyle and habit was created. It began with taking myself back, but then I found myself instead. Not only did I improve my physique, and my health, counteracted my perimenopause... I improved my mind. I am the healthiest I have ever been, for ME and for them... Today my “why” is LONGEVITY I want to be here for a long time, and I want to feel GREAT for that time! So now I ask you, what is your WHY? Find it! START! Right, so @fitwithvalerie tagged me yesterday and i have to tell y'all 6 facts about me. Fitting i took a valerie style selfie lol but this is stress thanks Val 😫 • • 1. I will be turning vegan in the near future. Im putting it into the universe. Veganism is literally calling me lol i can feel it in my bones. Ive done it before, this time ill do it properly.🌱 2. I can sometimes be very introverted. People misread this as me being anti. No sometimes im just really shy and sometimes im not 🤷🏾‍♀️ 3. I love to dance. If you come to one of my classes you probable already know this.💃🏾 4. I love football and i support Arsenal 🔫🔫 ive been to many a football match at both Highbury and the Emirates okurr. I started going football matches when i was in primary school. 5. I have 2 brothers which is probably why im such a tom boy. I did everything they did when we were younger. 🏃🏾‍♀️ 6. Lastly, i started working out to feel better not look better. I didn't start this journey just to get a big bum lol training is like therapy for me. A strong mind to me is more important than a good looking body. 💪🏾

#transformationthursday client spotlight This is one of my amazing clients who has been with me for the last 12 week's. Deirdre has lost 7kg and has lost a lot of inches from her body overall. Her confidence has gone through the roof and recently completed her third Dublin marathon. She has now signed up for next year's and one in Belfast in May. Deirdre came to me after speaking to one my colleagues about working on her strength and her mobility after she injured her IT band. We started off slowly and worked on her nutrition. Deirdre works shifts and has worked very hard to make sure she has gotten her runs and her training with me on point. Deirdre has tried diets before and is known for having a sweet tooth. Her energy levels have gone up and is looking and feeling amazing. Excites to see where we can get to over the next while.
