Two effective Hamstring exercises‼️‼️ ✨ * * * * 1. Lying Leg Curls- these babies will isolate the hamstring and build it up. Make sure to focus on the hammies at all times. Avoid using your hips to curl back up; engaging the core will help. * * * * 2. Stiff-Legged Deadlift- ( you can use dumbbells or a barbell to perform this exercise). These are my absolute FAVORITE because THEY WORK💯🔥💦. You want to make sure your knees are slightly bent and stationary. Keep the back straight, bend at the waist and lower down to the ground until you feel a stretch on your hamstrings. Be mindful to lift back up using the hamstrings. I give my booty a little squeeze up top because why not? 🤷🏻‍♀️😊🍑. 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 If it was, people would be running negative 5-minute miles and benching over 9,000. “More, faster” are few of many metrics that can be used to measure progress, and to rely solely on these metrics to inform you of your progress is to take only a very shallow look at what you’re actually doing. Good luck trying to keep improving your 100m sprint time through your 20s through your 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond. These things aren’t that important. Being able to keep doing it is more important than how fast or how much you do it compared to before. Today’s “hot run” was much the same as last week’s hot run. Similar route, similar temperature (though a bit cooler and windier today), similar time of day, and the same distance. But today I ran 20 seconds slower than the last time I ran in the evening. What gives? I’m a fan of reflecting on training to see what went well and what could be improved, but that can easily be taken to the point of over-analyzation and obsession over unimportant details. I ran 10 miles 2 days ago and strained my calf a bit which I felt during today’s run. Could that play a role in being slower today? Maybe, but it isn’t that important outside of recognizing that I need to be more proactive about my recovery. 𝙔𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙋𝙍 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙤𝙪𝙩 You just aren’t. To expect that would be ridiculous. Just like you can’t expect to infinitely lose weight or gain muscle. Progress is not constant improvement. It doesn’t require you to destroy yourself every time you train for marginal gains in improvement. But it requires you consistently showing up and giving whatever your best effort that day is. Some days are better than others. Do that for years, and you’ll end up somewhere where other people will start asking you what your secret is. What do you think? Agree or disagree? Why?

Cooking for many & still eating for YOU ✨ ~ These pans may look the same, and while they have many of the same ingredients, one has about 20g less fat and about 60g less carbs (that’s a 420 calorie difference)! . It often takes no more time to cook the same food a little different, so that’s what I do! I have different goals and my body has different needs than my husband. There’s no right or wrong, or good or bad, between the two pans, they are just different! ~ In the same amount of time, mine is measured/weighed, is 1/4 the amount of rice and 3/4 riced cauliflower, is cooked in less fats, and has only one egg yolk and more whites. ~ Taste wise, yeah, I’m sure his beats mine if you ask him 😆 but I really do enjoy eating for my goals when it’s as easy as just heating up another pan and making super easy changes. ~ What do you do to balance your goals and needs with your loved ones’?!🤓🥰

Nothing has ever resonated with me so deeply. I've been on this fitness journey for the last several years. Each time getting so close to my goal then falling deep into a depression and an emotional breakdown that brought on all the bad habits and the horrible relationship with food. It's taken me almost 5 years to realize it! I've had to make some very difficult decisions over the past year, have had to cut specific people out of my life, and I will no longer let things control me like they used to. One of the biggest pieces of advice I can give to people who are on a fitness journey is to spend just as much time focusing on your mental health as you do focusing on your physical health. Take a step back and see who you let control you and your poor decisions and cut ties if you have to, analyze your past if you have to and take the time you need to heal from it. A healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body. Its okay if it takes longer than you expected as long as your changes become permanent. And if you need the motivation along the way and a person to keep you focused when you find yourself starting to relapse invest in a trainer or find yourself someone who motivates you @gtfit2016 you are that for me! Squats felt like a steaming pile of 💩 today⁣ ⁣ I thought it would be my hips getting in the way since they were super stiff yesterday but that wasn't it...⁣ ⁣ Everything was off ❌ Feet placement didn't feel right, my weight kept transfering to my toes, the bar was hurting my neck. A couple months back I was told by my Doctor that I had to cut back on my core exercises... I was having a ton of medical issues the past 6 months.. no one could figure out why a healthy 29 year old was having my issues. So of course they sent me for a bunch of testing. At the end of the day my pelvic and abdominal muscles resting were twice the level they should be. Basically it meant when I thought my muscles were relaxed because I was not flexing or working the muscle, they actually weren’t. So it was causing all these problems for me. So after cutting back tremendously on ab workouts and having pelvic floor therapy, I can finally say those issues are mostly resolved. Now unfortunately for me, that means no more hardcore 6 pack and V. But with being consistent w working out and using core strengthening exercises thru lifting, I have been able to keep some abs! It’s amazing to think that bc I was overly healthy and working out hardcore, it actually caused problems with my body... I’ve had to take time to learn new exercises and cut out exercises I have grown to love. But my overall health is much more important to me... I hate losing results... but I will take this as a win! #fitnessjourneycontinues #whateverittakes #healthybody

An this is where the magic happened. An by that I mean this is where it all started. An by that I mean where I began training. I can remember starting to get familiar with the gym equipment when I was a junior in high school. I started when I was about 17 and was just on and off at the gym till I was 20. I wasn’t consistent enough until very recently. I remember my first full program was the body easy workout with mr Sagi coaching me on that old computer you see on the screen there! That was quite the 3 month bodybuilding style program to start with! But this is where the love of actually training began. I was and still am so fortunate to have this equipment and will always cherish this room. So there is about a year between these 2 pics. The left was July 2018 and the right May 2019. When it comes to transformation, do you know what the hardest part is? Maintaining your results. Great time doing some animal flow in Central Park with @awayinward @msfit.sherry and @jermelp 🐾 Always good to get together with other people and practice🦂 At the end we did the homework given by @saschazoschmueller which was a lot of fun. #fitnessjourneycontinues May 21 we started our cross country journey. June 14 we moved into our new home. I enjoyed delicious food in Vegas, and Nashville, I swam, splashed, and cannon balled with the kids at every single hotel. I had continual stomach issues (spam me with ALL your #guthealth info please!!!!). I did some morning yoga flows, but mostly made memories. All that to say- I’ve restarted #bbg and am currently at week ✌🏻. I restarted daily morning flows and am back to getting upside down multiple times a day. It’s my fitness journey. #mondaymorninggrind 6.15am wake up call and direction the gym for 30 mn intense session. At one point, every morning I go to a class, I wondered if I lost my marbles at some point to inflict this to myself. Day #15: Today I did the treadmill for 21 minutes and burned 100 calories. Next I moved to the stair stepper where I burned 167 calories in 15 minutes. After that I used the torso rotation machine that worked my abs: 2 sets of 15 on 70lbs. Finally I attempted the killer core workout (last picture)#fitnessjourneycontinues 💪🏼

100% Holiday, unwind mode has been unlocked . Not a single calorie or macro has been tracked and not a single care has been given 😊 . The knowledge and experience that has been cultivated on this Fitness Journey has given me the confidence and certainty that whatever progress I may have lost during my unrestricted indulgences will all be gained back if and when I choose to . To me this is huge progress because I definetly could not indulge like this without worry, guilt or second thinking in the past . Being able to let loose and completely unwind is one of the reasons the years of learning, commitment, challenges and effort are and have been completely worth it . The Fitness Journey is worth it guys, there are just so many benefits👌 You will thank yourself later . My taste buds and holiday mood is thanking me right now 🙏🔥🏝 .

Day #14: Today marks 2 weeks that I've been working out🎉! Anyways, today I did the bike for about an hour and burned a total of 327 calories!#fitnessjourneycontinues 💪🏼

WE DID IT!! You guys, that was SO fun 😍 and guess what... I think I only walked about 5 minutes total! I’m assuming I had the runners high after I finished, because I felt incredible! It was hard, and I went slow (finished in 41 minutes), but I am so stinking proud of myself. Also! My mother in law finished 3rd in her age bracket, Dustin finished 2nd in his, and Dawson finished his first 10k and killed it! 🎉 we are very happy Sanford’s over here 😆
