#noexcuses- LEG WORKOUT at bottom ⬇️ # # In May I partially dislocated my right shoulder - not fun. I was even in a sling for 4 weeks, in which I laughed at myself all the time 🙃 # # Many people would only see one option, to rest it out and use this time to recover. I only saw one option too, but mine was to work as hard as I can around my injury with the exercises I could do. #noexcuses # # For 4 weeks, I swallowed my pride, and went to my gym in a sling. I was SO embarrassed at first! # # If you want your goals bad enough, you won’t let ANYTHING get in the way. I went to the gym 5-6 days a week, and did mostly legs/glutes/core and a whollleeee lot of the stairclimber. # # I was so hung up on losing my strength gains and gaining weight, but hard work pays off. Instead of losing strength, I was able to lift the EXACT SAME weight that I was able to prior to my injury!!! I used lots of machines (leg press, assisted squat, hack squat, leg extension, hamstring curls etc) and after 4 weeks I was able to hold dumbbells again. 6 Weeks im back at the bar ~~~ # # Backsquatting was step 1, once I had my range of motion back. I PRd the same week. Step 2 was deadlifts, and step 3 in my progression of recovery was to be able to front squat again! And I did it, for the first time in over 2 MONTHS I was able to front squat the exact same weight I left off at. # # Mindset is EVERYTHING. In the past, I would have found this as an excuse to fall of the wagon. Goals don’t get met with excuses... 🏋🏽‍♀️LEG WORKOUT🏋🏽‍♀️ (SS = superset, perform both without rest in between) -Warm up elliptical/ stretch/band work 🍑Front squats 10/8/6/6/8/15 SS DB step ups 🍑Hack squat 3x12 slow eccentric (down) SS cable crunches 3x20 🍑 Leg extensions 3x20 SS KB walking lunges x20 total 🍑Hamstring curls 3x15 SS single leg DL with heavy KB x10 each 🍑Single Leg Leg Press 3x12 each SS both legs HEAVY x10 🍑TRX pulse lunges 3x15 each SS TRX jump squat Stretch/foam roll . . . #workout #legworkout #legday #squat #deadlift #squatbooty #fitgirl #fitness #fitfam #fitnesspost #fitnessjourney #fitnessmotivation #transformation #muscle #nutrition #coach #personaltrainer

TRAIN. RECOVER. REST. REPEAT.

Really hard and weird for me to post these pictures, but may as well. I lost nearly 7 stone without even so much as walking at a fast past, weight watchers worked for me and still does. However after keeping my weight off for 6 years my body shape hadn’t changed at all and I was still extremely unfit. At the start of the year, me and my partner started @official_opt , for me, who has never done excerise and spent all my life looking at scales , it’s the hardest most challenging thing i’ve ever done. I’ve had to change my mind set from what I weigh to how I feel and I can’t tell you how odd that feels. But the pictures show what’s happening, the difference between the first picture to last is roughly 11 or 12 pounds, which isn’t a lot to me when i’m used to losing 3/4 pounds a week. However, I went to try on my wedding dress a few weeks ago and i’ve lost 5 inches off my hips 4 off my waist and 2 off my chest. 👍 I have a longggg way to go with my fitness and I can certainly do better, do more and try harder but I am doing more than i’ve ever done in my life, it makes me feel good and I certainly miss it when I can’t go. I am way more active and hopefully things can only get better. New workout wear makes me happy 😀

3 weeks apart.. my goal is to lose 1 lb per week. I didn’t get a chance to post in last few days and was working 12 hr shift and going to the gym as well. Had very busy few days. Did chest+tricep on Sunday night after work, back and bicep on Monday morning before going to work and shoulder yesterday after taking a nap as came from night shift in the morning.
