The answer is yes you can! As long as you are eating in a caloric deficit, getting adequate protein intake and doing compound movements in the gym you can get ripped without cardio! However as a former combat athlete who used to train for 4-6 hours a day(the reason I couldn't gain weight) I think cardio is important because cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death! I don't recommend 4-6 hours of martial arts training unless you want to lose your muscle mass however I do recommend HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING! Which is a super quick and effective way to get your heart pumping in a very short amount of time like under 15 minutes if you go hard enough! An example of a HIIT workout would be grab a skipping rope! Skip as fast as possible for 30s rest for 30 than repeat 10 times! You'll be feeling it! If you're advanced try skipping for 1 minute than resting for 30 seconds! Those 30 seconds of rest go quick haha! If you don't have a skipping rope, do some sprints! Cardio is good for your heart and your overall health! I don't recommend steady state cardio like jogging unless you are a marathon runner but if you're reading this you are probably looking to look like a sprinter! Hope that helps! And then I think back and realize that that girl on the left was trying to reinvent herself after getting out of a 9 year relationship that went nowhere.
