When in doubt-Squat it out💁 So when I positioned my phone to take this vid, I didn't realize my face was cut off! 🙈😂 Hope you guys believe it's me! 😉 It was a #oneanddone so I left it🎬👍 Tonight was #legday so I did my Mile/Incline and went into Leg Extensions, Reverse curtsy lunges with a 25lb plate and Squats- starting from 2 sets of 10 at 90 lbs to these at 110 for 4 sets of 8. My legs are stronger cuz rising up is getting better! 🏋😁🌟 I am going to start going up in 10 lb increments, like I used to do- so I have to go get a couple of 5 pound plates. I use the plates that came with the Powertech Workbench and 10lbs is as small as they go. Gotta say- I LOVE my Squat Rack! HOW TO GET THE BODY YOU WANT - It makes my head spin at all the ways you can lose weight nowadays: fad diets, diet pills, freeze your fat, and even surgery. - Sadly, these will only give you temporary results. - You need to make lifestyle changes in order to get lasting results. - I try to stress to my clients the 3 effective ways to lose weight, get a great body, and be healthy. - They are: exercise 3 - 5 times a week, have a good nutrition plan, and drink lots of water. - You need all 3, in balance, to achieve great results! - I’m always asked about my nutrition and exercise, as I’m 58 years old and never felt better! - So, here are a few of my healthy lifestyle tips: 1. I start my day with a glass of lemon water (juice of 1 whole lemon) and drink about 8-10 glasses of filtered water a day 2. I juice every morning 3. Drink a pot of green, nettle or dandelion tea 4. I add collagen to my tea and smoothie 5. Every morning, after my workout, I have a veggie smoothie 6. Take high quality vitamins 7. Have 3 Tb organic flaxseed everyday 8. Work with weights 5 days a week 9. Do HIIT cardio 3 days a week 10. Do a castor oil wrap 3 times a week 11. Get 7 - 8 hours of sleep a night 12. Take time out for me everyday 13. Focus on eating meals with lots of veggies, along with 4 oz of lean protein 14. Eat on track 90% of the time 15. He’s definitely my pup... very comfortable on the scale 😝 Daily self-weighing fits into the framework of the theory of self-regulation. The basic idea of self-regulation is to look at a piece of information, see how the information compares to a goal, and then take specific action based on that comparison. So with daily self-weighing, a person can react with appropriate self-reinforcement if they are on target with their goals. And they can make behavior changes to reverse small weight gains that are inconsistent with their goals. Regular feedback from the scale gives the person a sense of personal accountability and continued awareness. I believe and teach people to view their weight not as “good” or “bad,” but rather as information - look at it as just a number that they can use to see if they are on target with their goals. Oh bench, you fickle, fickle bitch. A week ago I dead-pressed 4x105/47.7. That was a PR. Two days ago I benched the same thing. Also a PR. Tonight’s dead press at the same weight? I barely got 3 reps. The crazy grind on the 3rd cramped my hammie and then I tried to reset and give the 4th my best shot, but I just didn’t have it in me. I *did* do heavier squats beforehand than either of the other two days, if I wanted to make excuses. But I don’t, not really, because excuses don’t make the weight move. This happens, I know. The overall trajectory is up. I AM getting stronger. Day 1 of Week 6 and it's our last build week before 2 weeks of shredding workouts. I challenged my muscles by upping my weights on a few of the exercises. Today was circuits of chest and tricep work. After the wide pushups and triceps pushups burnout rounds, my arms have nothing left.

Did you get any exercise today? Or do anything different? It’s good to do, it creates new neural pathways in our brains, which keeps them from deteriorating. I still have tightness and some pain in my neck, but at least I had energy today so I got to the gym. It almost always makes me feel good to do that.
