Happy #fryday Fellow Foodies 💚🥑💚 Here’s one of my favorite food combos: Sweet Potato, Avocado, Eggs, Greens, & Tahini Dipping Sauce 😍 Real Talk: When I was struggling with anorexia I was so afraid of fat, I would never have dreamt of eating this much avocado & Tahini in one sitting. As I changed my relationship with food from one of fear to one of gratitude, nourishment, & enjoyment, I was able to stop counting calories & start “counting” nutrients. Now I LOVE eating healthy fats because fat is essential to our health. It keeps me full & stabilizes my blood sugar, which reduces anxiety. I try to include fat in my diet as much as possible, and guess what? My weight is healthy & stable. So don’t be afraid of fats! You need them to build cellular walls, produce hormones, & for proper brain function. Sending you all so much love. A complete meal for #meatlessmonday. SWEET POTATO SPAGHETTI! 👉 Sauted in coconut oil: onion, garlic, zucchini and mushrooms. Meanwhile, spiralize a sweet potato. Ate all the beets yesterday and absolutely loved it! Growing up I didn't like beets at all. My mom would make them and they would smell and I was like no way. In college I finally came around - my roommate would eat them all the time and I figured I would give them a go again. I tried my mom's homemade ones (so good!) and grew to love them! Feeling a little like this toast this morning (read: 🤪🙈 MESSY) but the sun is shining, I have a beautiful cup of coffee, and I get to work next to the best coworker (hey, Jared 🙋🏻‍♂️💕). And because we can never decide between sweet and savory, we thought we would give you an option for both! 😊 · Say hello to our maca cashew butter toast topped with blueberries, and our delicious golden butter toast. · Recipe below 👇 Cashew Butter: 2 cups roasted cashews 1T Sari Foods Organic Maca Powder 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon 3T olive oil 1T maple syrup 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Process cashews, maca and cinnamon until fine. Add olive oil, maple syrup and vanilla extract and blend until creamy. · Golden Butter: 1/2 tsp pink Himalayan salt 1/3 cup virgin cold-pressed coconut oil 1/4 cup extra-virgin cold-pressed olive oil 1T Sari Foods Organic Turmeric Powder Whisk vigorously to combine, pour into a jar and store in the fridge to set. I wandered over to look at the berries in @wegmans yesterday and what should I find but FIGS! I got really excited and started looking around for someone to share in my joy... Shrubs! One of my favourite ways to preserve fruit in the summer. This shrub is peach, wild blueberry and holy basil. . I mashed my fruit, herbs and honey together in a clean jar and let it sit for a couple of days. I then strained the fruit out and added apple cider vinegar. To serve, pour a little bit in a glass and top with soda water (and alcohol if that's what you're feeling)! . If you are looking for an exact recipe I have a Peach Honey and Rosemary shrub OTB.
