COULDN’T go two days without posting for your guys 🙀😸 Haven’t had a lot of time to be in the kitchen these past couple days so here is a picture of these salad rolls I grabbed from Whole Foods on the way to work today 🤪 Honestly take away and restaurant food is something that used to (and sometimes still does) cause me a lot of anxiety I often stressed not being to know the exact calories and ingredients of the food I was consuming. I now know it’s all about BALANCE sometimes you have the burger but today I wanted something healthy and delicious and these salad rolls were perfect. I also enjoyed a chocolate protein smoothie from Bliss Smoothie Bar because I was starving haha.

Papaya every morning has changed my life !!! I rarely get stomach pains or bloat now 🍊 I cut it up and freeze for smoothies (with banana + greens you can’t even taste it)

S N A C K S . I have always had a strong relationship with food. I loved eating but would feel awful after anything that I ate. . Because of this, eliminating dairy, gluten, and soy was extremely hard. I also have a strong love for pizza (so that didn’t help much either). As much as I try following this lifestyle I do deviate from it sometimes. . These are snacks that I have found that I can eat that don’t make me feel awful afterwards. The chocolate and yogurt are gluten free, dairy free, and soy free. They also follow food combining. The cookies are vegan and are soy free and gluten free. . What I’ve learned from changing my diet is that not everything works for everyone. You have to do what works for YOU. Nobody can determine this but yourself. ✨

Reminder to listen to your body!! • I’m on round 2 of #bbg and it’s killer. All the step ups, bench jumps, burpees and commandos can be brutal on my body 😬There will be days where I literally can’t move hours after a workout, and normally it takes me a couple of days to start feeling any soreness. During my first go-round I felt so guilty if I skipped a workout since it’s a six day a week plan so I would always just push through. Yes, it made me physically stronger but there were definitely weeks I should’ve listened to my body telling me to chill the freak out 😂 • This time around I’ve been trying to be better about being more forgiving with myself if I skip a workout, whether it be because I’m sore, tired, or my friends want to hang out 💁🏻‍♀️ I’ve been trying to remind myself that it’s not the end of the world if I only workout 4 out of the 6 days a week! All of the progress I’ve made hasn’t come overnight and I won’t lose it all overnight either! • That being said, sometimes listening to your body means working out EXTRA! The there were a couple days the past two weeks I’ve just had so much energy and all of my friends were working so I decided to hit the gym for the second time in a day & I felt so much better afterwards! For example, this morning I did the week 3 day 1 Leg workout of #bbg, came home and made a Tropical Bub 🥬🥒🥭🥥 (@kenzieburke) and Avo toast 🥑, took a nap, woke up and helped my family meal prep, then did 45 minutes on the stair climber. My serotonin levels are soarinnnggggg lol. It was just what I needed today! • If you just listen, your body will tell you want it wants and needs! 🤯

Good morning 🌞 hope you’re all having a good Monday! _______________________ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Banana, mango, raspberry and coconut yoghurt has been my go to breakfast lately.

was in a bit of a mood yesterday (anxious + unproductive) 🥴 but I woke up this morning with the intention of fixing that by pushing myself to try a spin class for the first time which has been on my bucket list forever ✅ It was so hard, but i had so much fun challenging my body to do something new and am so stoked to have found a new form of cardio to add to the list when running isn’t an option 🏃‍♀️ Starting my day off with such a good endorphin rush was a mood booster that sent my day in the right direction When you find yourself in a bad headspace it’s important to acknowledge how you feel and why your feeling it soothe your soul and show some self love and compassion, but don’t let yourself stay there too long try and gently encourage yourself to engage in something that will bring you joy!! (easier said than done I know 💓) 🌟I had a way better day today and finished it off with this delicious and nourishing Buddha Bowl for dinner 🥰 dEATs: • base of 1 cup of quinoa and mixed greens •topped with sautéed mushrooms, purple cabbage, spinach and peanuts •chopped tomato and cucumber •edamame + hemp seed •shredded carrots + beets • @yvesveggiecuisine the greatest veggie burger (not the healthiest but great option when your short on time or just lazy like me 🤪) • avocado • a tiny drizzle of sesame ginger dressing ✖️Not Pictured : the rest of the half of the avocado cuz you can never have enough 🥑

The best way to start a Sunday morning. Fruit. There are so many people that say “fruit is bad when trying to lose weight” “fruit isn’t good for you” or “only eat berries because they are low in sugar”. While I am not expert, I love fruit and will always continue to eat fruit because my body craves it and it makes me feel good. Mother’s natural candy!!! 𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎 𝒘. 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒑𝒆 + 𝒄𝒐𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒖𝒕. • #nicecreamsunday is back 😍 and this beautiful bowl is the perfect thing to fend off the #sundayscaries (if you get those ❣️) . • I made this by blending 2 frozen bananas with some oat milk in my food processor ~ topped with cantaloupe cubes, coconut flakes, hemp hearts, + cinnamon ❦ . • recently, I’ve been feeling better about my living situation (which is nice), but it doesn’t change the fact that I seriously can’t wait to move back to philly 🌃 there’s so much more going on there and I can’t wait to be able to take the subway and buses and get around on my own again 😤 also, when I no longer share a kitchen with 3 other people, I’ll be cooking wayyy more 🥳 I hope everyone has been having a delightful weekend and continues to have a beautiful sunday 💕✨

F R U I T F I R S T 🥥🍌🍓 . Good morning! With my birthday being this week, trying to see everyone before I moved, and officially moving it’s been difficult to stick to food combining. However, I always make sure to start my day with some warm lemon water and a bowl of fruit! This gives me so much energy throughout the day and keeps me feeling full! . There are many different ways you can have fruit in the morning. My favorite is eating a banana (or two) on top of So Delicious Strawberry Banana or Raspberry yogurt. If I’m not eating this in the morning I usually have a big bowl of mixed fruit or a smoothie!

If it works for you THAT’S GREAT! I hope you can still modify the whole-foods plant based recipes I WILL be posting on this account!! 🌟 I simply found the lifestyle to restrictive for my mind & soul which are equally as important aspects of health as your body, considering there isn’t a TON of evidence about food combining benefits and the cons outweighed the small benefits I did experience. AVOCADO TOAST 🥑 - Avocado toast is definitely one of my favorite foods. Its so quick and easy to make too! I like to make my avocado toast on @foodforlifebaking gluten free brown rice bread (toast it twice for that extra crunch) then mash some avo and put some lemon juice, pink Himalayan salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. LUNCH TODAY: sweet potato hummus wraps- try these and thank me later 🌟 dEATs: • 1/2 baked and mashed sweet potato • sautéed red cabbage, mushroom, tomatoes, spinach and garlic •fresh shredded carrots, beats, and more greens •avocado of course 🥑 and a sprinkle of nutritional yeast (my fav) ❕ 🌟 I recommend heating up the wrap in a pan before adding your ingredients 🌟 sautéed cashews also would have been INCREDIBLE🤩

Watermelon juice !! 🍉 this is all of the juice from a small organic watermelon. Swipe over to see how much pulp was left after the squeeze. It is really incredible how much juice you can get from a small melon. It does take a bit more effort than just buying it from the store but the nutrition is SO much higher, you are using less plastic and it tastes WAY better than any store bought juice. You certainly do not even need to strain the juice. You can just blend and pour! I personally prefer a pulp free juice and enjoy the whole blend/strain process.

One being starting every morning with fruit 🍑 Here I have a small base of coconut yogurt topped with papaya, raspberries, ceylon cinnamon, shredded coconut, and bee pollen 👅

How much fruit do you eat every day and what’s your favorites? People are often stunned at the amount of fruit I eat, but people, that’s what God intended us to have as “sweets” not Coca Cola or worse Diet Coke. Fruit is where all the fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytochemicals and live fluids are, not in coffee drinks, donuts and candy. The fact that mainstream endocrinologists and physicians tell their patients to avoid this perfect nutrition and instead to eat animal protein to avoid sugar spikes is ludicrous, because the fat and cholesterol and lack of fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytochemicals and fiber in the meat, eggs and dairy is what’s causing that insulin resistance in the first place. Believing that fruit is bad for you because it turns into sugar is just outdated thinking and nothing to do with the truth about how food is used and processed by the body. If you’re not able to lose weight and you’re getting sicker and sicker, fatter and fatter and bigger doses of meds, maybe you will hear this and wonder if there isn’t a better way, something you are missing. Best advice: Watch the physicians and researchers in “Forks Over Knives” explain the medical evidence for a whole plant based way of eating and keep eating fruits, vegetables, grains and beans and watch what happens next!! 💪After watching Forks Over Knives, Definitely message me if you want help to a total weight and health transformation this way and we can figure out what you need!💪

I have the biggest sweet tooth, so this chocolate coconut banana toast is my fav combo to satisfy my cravings 😻 dEATs: ~ 2 slices ezekiel bread toasted twice with coconut oil (see “products” highlight for details) ~ 1 banana ~ Sprinkle of Shredded Coconut ~ 1/2 tablespoon of cocoa nibs ~ Pinch of cinnamon ~ 1/2 tablespoon of chopped dark chocolate chips ~ Cinnamon ~ Drizzle of Agave for all the sweetness 🤤 MICROWAVING THIS is a game changer ❕❕ pop it in for 30 seconds to melt the chocolate and caramelize the banana to create a banana bread taste with no refined sugar 🤩🌸🍌

Living a plant based & healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean enjoying food is of the table. It is all about substitutes for example I love pasta so I used chickpea pasta instead. But if you want regular pasta every now and then that’s totally fine!! It is what you do the majority of the time. That’s why it is so important to build healthy habits.

yesterday I stumbled upon The Fifth Agreement by Don Miguel Ruiz. The Four Agreements changed my life, so I was excited to find out there was another addition! be impeccable with your word, don’t take anything personally, don’t make assumptions, and always do your best. it was a book that i would have to read over and over again, and each time it became brand new. could not wait to crack this one open during breakfast. @lovvelavva original coconut yogurt, bananas, mangos, + honey & cinnamon 🕊

Zuchinni noodles are quickly becoming one of my fav easy dishes 💫 I made this recipe with one small zucchini, keep in mind the volume of the noodles shrinks to about half the size of the raw noodles so make lots!! I added some pesto and roasted garlic as the sauce with lots of nutritional yeast on top to give a cheesy flavour. This wasn’t super filling so I ended up having a wrap as well (recipe coming!!🌟) but it’s a great side dish or a way to add more volume to regular pasta dishes💥

FIRST BREAKFAST 🥥🍍🥭🍌🍓 I love eating fruit first thing in the morning. Fruit digests within 30 mins which makes it the perfect “pre”/“first” breakfast Here I have a little coconut yogurt mixed with mashed berries then topped with strawberry, mango, goji, pineapple, and shredded coconut 👅

The feeling when you are preparing food come home and it is gone. Happened to this amazing risotto with baked vegetables, at least I had one portion and it’s was to die for. If you want to try this : -Cut all your veggies in small cubes I used zucchini paprika and cherry tomatoes garlic and onion - Rost for 30 minutes - at the same time cook you rice with halve vegetable stock have tomato can stir a bit of the liquid in at a time till it is creamy. Needed to pick up some groceries today but was absolutely starving post-workout and whole foods burrito bowls are just to affordable & delish to pass up 🤤😫 ••• Ask for a burrito bowl with lettuce as the base Add 1/2 to 1 scoop of brown rice I skip the veg because I personally don’t find the sauce makes me feel great Tomatoes Salsa Finish it off with 1/2 a scoop of guacamole (more than enough even tho 🥑 have my heart 1 scoop just drowns the rest of the bowl) ••• And that’s it super simple & only $8 but so delish left me super satisfied but with no pain🤤💓 you could also skip the rice and beans and choose to add tofu instead!!

PITAYA BOWL 💓💓⁣ ⁣ I have to say I think I like pitaya bowls more than Acai bowls.!! They’re just so much sweeter! Which one do you prefer?? This pitaya bowl brought back memories of eating them on the beach in Hawaii! Oh how I wish I could be back there right now! I found a frozen tropical fruit blend at a grocery store I don’t usually go to and it had pink pitaya (dragonfruit), mango, pineapple and banana in it so I mixed that with some coconut milk, vanilla protein powder, maca and extra frozen banana to make the base of this bowl! I topped it with some berry coconut yogurt, banana, mango, strawberries, chia seeds and coconut flakes! It’s like the perfect thing to eat on a hot summer day when you want something to cool you off and be super refreshing!

When I say I inhaled this dish I’m being 100% honest @kenzieburke you did it again, this is for sure a new favorite of mine, seriously soooo good. - - The details: •coconut milk risotto •sautéed broccoli and kale in olive oil and lemon juice with spices •topped with pickled probiotic red cabbage and beets - How to make it: • Put half water and half coconut milk and rice into a pan and bring to a boil, once to a boil cook for a simmer for 45 min then take off heat and steam for 10 min.
