So happy ๐Ÿ˜ I brought this bowl of fruit to my sonโ€™s baseball โšพ๏ธ game yesterday for the whole team to enjoy ๐Ÿ˜Š! The other team was offering us candy ๐Ÿญ and I was so happy ๐Ÿ˜€ I brought the fruit bowl and gave it to the coaches to share with our team right before the other team offered the candy. Guess who won the game yesterday???? It was such a win win situation for my son and his team that I am happy to bring the fruit bowl to share to the next game too. The grapes ๐Ÿ‡ were a hit! It was too hot for bananas ๐ŸŒ and the apples were almost gone! My son wants those little clementine mandarin oranges ๐ŸŠ to share for next game! Important: Update your version of 'fast food'. . . This one is actually wayyy harder for me than it should be. I have a tendency to not eat until I'm real hungry and because I'm bad at prepping I want food.. now. So I tell myself "fuck it I'm too hungry I wanna get something fast", and then I eat junk food... but really, what's faster than a banana? Our bodies expend more energy digesting our food than they do anything else. Thatโ€™s why, when you strip the diet down to the simplest foods, which require the least amount of energy to digest, (translation: FRUIT), the body shows allllllll its weaknesses. When we are taking in too much, or taking in the wrong things, there is an avalanche of steps the body will take to try to continue to stay afloat. . Picture a goalie having soccer balls shot at her consistently. She's got to try to block every ball, whether she has to jump, or roll, or slide, or dive. Whether she gets hit, whether she gets bruised, whether she's bleeding; her job is to block those balls. And she can do a darn good job! But while she's doing that, she canโ€™t tend to her twisted ankle, or the gash on her leg, or her black eye- she just keeps defending. Eventually, when the shots stop, THEN she notices all of her injuries. She gets some ice for her black eye, but when she walks on her twisted ankle it makes it worse, so she winds up in a cast. She was so busy with that, she forgot to clean the gash on her leg and it gets infected. Her ankle heals but the infection spreads and she winds up with a fever and is on bed rest. You get the ideaโ€ฆ . This is the beating our bodies take for us all the time. But when we stop the barrage of unrecognizable crap, they donโ€™t have to live in defense mode any more. They can sit back and simply function as they are designed, and THAT'S when you really notice which systems are strong and which arenโ€™t. . In my mind, the same is true in life. When we are going going going all the time, we are busy and distracted. It isnโ€™t until we slow down and sit still that we see things we didnโ€™t even know were going on, and sometimes it can be really uncomfortable! You can hear your REAL thoughts ๐Ÿ˜ณ You get flashes of resentment you didnโ€™t know you were holding on to, or you realize what you REALLY want, and maybe itโ€™s friggin scary! . I think itโ€™s easy to say 'I feel fine' when youโ€™re always 'ON.' But itโ€™s definitely a whooole different ball game when you stop the frenzy โœจโœจโœจ
