What’s that you say? You want to learn something new about detoxification today? Ok! I gotchu! WELL! Ahem 🤓 People think that clear urine equals automatic health and hydration. We always hear, 'Pee clear!" That’s great and all, but all that actually means? Is that your urine is diluted enough for the color to be lighter. When you’re a detox specialist (as of now I play an aspiring one on Instagram) you know that it’s actually more important that your urine be acidic, rather than be clear. The color itself is not important. What’s coming out in your urine IS. If your kidneys aren’t filtering out acids and excreting them from your body… let’s just say it aint good. Next to cleaning out our guts, achieving proper kidney filtration should be priority numero uno. Our kidney is our main filter. I’m sure we’re all familiar with the idea of a clogged filter. If your body’s wastes and toxins can’t get through the filter because it’s clogged, what’s going to happen?! Your body is going to be backed up! All those acids just recirculate back into your system and of course wreak havoc over time. It’s just common sense, right? No one arms us with this knowledge though. They only tell us the symptoms we’re experiencing are called 'blah' and give us 'blah' pills to manage our symptoms. No, guys. NO. The symptoms are our bodies TALKING TO US!!! Sometimes mindful eating for me means eating fruit ... lots of fruit ... and especially apples 🍎🍏 I don’t know what it is about apples but every so often I get some serious cravings for the sweet or tart crisp juiciness of a good apple (may be paired with old cheddar cheese or natural peanut butter 😋). I get so many clients saying “well I can’t eat fruit, it’s not healthy! It has so much sugar!” First of all, yes, fruit contains sugar. Fruit also contains lots of vitamins, minerals and fibre that we don’t get from a lot of other sugar-laden foods (ie: 🥮🍡🍧🍨🍦🥧🧁🍰🎂🍮🍭🍬🍫🍩🍪🥤). If you want fruit, eat it! Happiest with a juice in hand 😍 ...................................... A note on juicing: I know juice is by definition unnatural. I know nature does not provide us with such a concentrated source of whatever it is we’re after, even the good stuff. I know that removing the fiber from a whole food changes its already perfect structure. I also know that I had a crazy imbalance of gut flora, plus a gram negative bacteria strain (think E. coli), low hydrochloric acid, inflammation and malabsorption, all of which prevented me from being able to eat almost anything without aggravating the situation. I use juice as an assist. As a tool. Medicinally. Temporarily, and/or when necessary. It has helped bypass digestion when I needed it to, it has helped restore nutrients when I couldn’t absorb them, and it has helped me clean house like nothing else. I’ll continue to implement it as long as my body tells me so 😎✌🏼

After hearing @rawbwild mention honeydews were decent from the other countries this time of year, I snatched this bad boy up in @samsclub the other day. He’s right, it was good enough to post about! So if your like me and you miss your melons, give them a shot. Always push in the back end to see if it’s ripe. Ofcourse most melons are hard to tell if ripe because their rock hard but I always go for the softest one that allows me to push down on it even if it’s a slight push. Enjoy! I had been spending a decent amount of time drafting a new website to share all the things I’ve learned about health over the last few years, and somehow… it all disappeared. You know when you drop something and it breaks and you gasp and just stare at it, frozen? 😐😨😳 That’s kind of been me since it happened lol.. Is this a sign? Should I direct my energy elsewhere? Or is this a lesson in perseverance? I’m not sure yet 🤔🤪.............................WELP, while I ponder that!…. Here’s a passage from Prof. Arnold Ehret’s work ('Rational Fasting for Physical, Mental and Spiritual Rejuvenation') which I have come to admire greatly. He says: "It is surely theoretically correct that man was a mere fruit eater in times gone by, and biologically correct, that he can be even today. Or can the horse-sense of man not conceive without any direct proofs, of the fact that man, before becoming a hunter, lived on fruits alone? The arguments regarding fruit are scientifically exact; in the apple or banana, for instance, everything can be found contained what man needs. But a self-evident truth preached by nature must not be discarded just because no one has been able to apply it in actual practice on account of civilizational considerations. Hitherto I state and will only teach this fact, that fruit is the most natural healing remedy."

I finally will be starting the first 2 weeks of my #regenerativedetoxification on Monday. Here's a few pictures of the guidebook. Stay tuned for stories and experience updates. I have been doing a lot of intermittent fasting for the past 9 to 12 months on and off to prepare, although I will be consuming fruits berries and melons more throughout the day. My workouts for the detox will be less intense and wont be focusing on strength. After this 2 week detox, my focus will be strength and muscle building as I have been focusing on losing fat and not caring much about strength. I'm excited for the HERBS!! Its the one part I have been missing out on.

"Detox" is one of those trendy buzz words that calls to mind 3 day juice 'cleanses,' laxatives, or other short term breaks from what’s otherwise typical behavior like alcohol or dessert. But *true detoxification*- that is, the elimination of all waste and any organisms, fluids, cells or tissues that are harmful, dirty, rotted, or dead- is actually the only way to optimal health for any species. Remove the weeds and dead leaves, and a garden is free to flourish. Remove the obstruction clogging a pipe, and all can run smoothly. I love detoxification because it always addresses the root cause- not the symptom. The truth is, most of us have no idea how light, happy, motivated, loving, and clear-headed we can feel. However you choose to eat aside— the more you detoxify and rid yourself of the old junk that’s weighing you down, the more your overall health and vitality effortlessly improve, and the more you naturally elevate 🙌🏼🤩

I meant to share this awhile ago but completely forgot. I noticed very early on in my raw journey that my RAISED UP Millia bumps have been completely wiped out. My eye and nose area is literally flat again. The only solid proof I have are these few before pics where you can slightly see the raised bumps. I used to have a ton of these things around my nose and eye area before I went raw and actually tried to cut them out in my past pics bc I was totally embarrassed by them. I had them for years and only remember one going away. Guess how that happened?? When I went high raw back in 2016 for one month and at that time I thought it was bc of the soap I was using. Never knew anything about regenerative detoxification back then. . . . Obviously my skin has the potential to heal and it will. If I didn’t have all these small wins, I probably would of gave up long before now. But thank goodness for the small stuff because it’s getting me pumped for the big stuff. My first 5k since my early 20’s y’all! I asked God to be with me during this race and help me get through it. He totally pulled through because it turned out to not be so bad. I was seriously dreading this race because I didn’t feel ready. My goal was to be able to run 🏃🏽‍♀️ a 5k by now all the way through and with my own training- I never reached that goal. But when your adrenaline is pumping, you’d be surprised what you can manage. Surprisingly I managed just under 13 min miles with some uphill walking and with the sun ☀️ shining down on us. 😱 (Thankful I thought of my husbands visor, I really think it kept me feeling cool and will probably keep sporting it now). On my own when I do 2.5 miles or so, I’m in between 11:30 to under 13 min miles and that’s without walking. So yeah I definitely did decent. My time was 40:15. I placed 359th out of 495 people and 21st out of 27 in my age division. I am getting better slowly but surely. * * * On another note, I finally got my family to come out and root me on and they didn’t even recognize me, can you believe it?? My dad @stan.brosko saw me in the beginning (after I yelled out to him) and apparently forgot what I looked like by the finish. Where are all my vertigo and dizzy friends at?! 🙋🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️Unfortunately I am apart of this club and go to way too many meetings 😂. Ok seriously though I am super prone to getting dizzy, motion sickness, and suffer from vertigo occasionally. It’s hereditary apparently...thanks fam! 🙄 Don’t worry, this isn’t a Debbie downer post, I am here to bring good news! My grandmother passed down an elixir recipe that helps it go away. And if you take it regularly it’ll help prevent it. It’s been the ONLY thing that has helped me when I’ve been dizzy. Here is the recipe: 3 lemons 1 orange Honey (I use agave) Slice fruit with rind on. Place in pot. Add 1 liter water. Bring to a boil but do not boil. Put lid on it for 10 min. Add honey, and strain into container with a lid. Store in fridge. Take 1oz 3x daily Seriously friends this stiff is AMAZING! It’s super tart, but manageable because you take it small doses. I take this 3 times a day if I’m currently dizzy, and only once a day if I’m preventing it. Because of the nature of how animals today are fed, injected, and kept, neither their meat nor their eggs nor their milk are viable food sources for me. LOVE • FRUIT • BOARD GAMES A few years ago a friend asked me if I wanted to join her and her friend to go clubbing. I respectfully declined. Her friend says to me “Don’t you like socialising?” Don’t get me wrong, I had some time cutting a rug in da club back in the day! 💃🏽🕺🏽💃🏽🕺🏽💃🏽 I love socialising playing sports and board games, doing activities outdoors, over yum food, learning new things etc, clubbing is just not up in my top 10 at all. If you were to have a board games session, what board games would you want to play? We have just bought Sequence and Rummikub. REDUCED LANDFILL DISCO. Our school held its annual disco last month & our amazing organiser Jo made it as environmentally friendly as possible. In past years kids were given a packet of chips, bottle of water & 3 glo sticks as they entered. What followed was parent helpers then stopping kids from splitting glo sticks, putting glo sticks into water bottle, stopping kids flipping bottles in a crowded space & at the end of the disco the helpers would then throw out 200+ chip packets, 200+ partially drunk waters & 600+ glo sticks all went into landfill. It made for more cost. More work. More clean up. More landfill... so this year kids were asked to BYO drink bottle - easy they do this every day at school anyway. Chips were replaced for cut up fruit & bowls of apples for anyone hungry (plus inclusive and allergy friendly too as no fruit allergies at school) and glo sticks were replace with a stripe on each cheek of face paint that would glo under the disco lights! So simple. This isn’t any special face paint, it just needs to be one made with a white base. I took hubby’s special blue light torch he uses for work shopping and hid face paint in a dark jumper to see which worked and these cheap ones worked a treat. In the rainbow the blue & purple didn’t glo but the others did. While face paint isn’t low tox it was the best way to ease our school community into trying a more earth friendly approach and I have to say it was a hit. Even after we had to relocated last minute meaning disco wasn’t in a dark room so face paint only glowed when you stood up close to DJ, the kids didn’t care. They loved it. While a few parents flipped out about changes, no child asked about chips or glo sticks. They were too busy picking what colour stripes they wanted! This is the only kind of cheese allowed in my kitchen and it’s typically reserved specifically for fruit 😁😁😁🍇🍇🍇 . . Last night at a work dinner the sweet chef specially prepared a vegan pasta dish for me, and you know what, the couple times a year that happens, I don’t stress about it and I just graciously eat it. AND I am especially happy to report that I wasn’t affected by it at all! 🙌🏼👏🏼 Just goes to show the celery juice and herbal formulas are really serving me well 😊👏🏼 Yaaay 😊 A year ago that would have stopped my digestion for days. Today I’m just going to take it easy and juice, and do some grapes and apples to move things along and recoup. I’m also probably going to sit on my couch the entire day and just stare at my tree and enjoy the aroma 🙌🏼😀✨🙌🏼😀✨ Have a good one! 😘
