Here’s an incredible exercise to challenge your stability in your ankle plus working on hamstring/glute strength and flexibility. * * * You can see how much more stable my right side is compared to my left (injured ankle). Normally my left side is my more balanced side. * * * A couple pointers for the single leg rdl. * * 1. Keep the bar path as close to the leg as possible, I personally keep it against the thigh * * 2. Keep your hips square, you may notice mine rotating away from the floor slightly, don’t do that. You want the hips flat. * * 3. Squeeze those glutes! Especially on the side that is standing. That will engage your core to help with tip two and also allow you to activate the muscles correctly so there are no compensations. * * 4. Keep the standing leg slightly bent, you do not want the leg completely locked, very slightly bent is ok as long as you maintain that all the way down. * * Feel free to dm me with any questions!

ARE YOU CONSISTENT? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ When I moved to the U.S. in 2009, my school where I graduated from (University of Southern Indiana) had just opened up their state-of-the-art wellness center⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Coming from Venezuela where the nicest gym was probably the size of my bedroom, needless to say I was in awe and so pumped to start working out to attaining my goals of getting leaner but with more muscle⠀ ⠀ ⠀ I started college the week after touring that facility⠀ ⠀ ⠀ That same afternoon I put on my gym clothes and head to the gym⠀ ⠀ ⠀ I had no idea what to do or how but I started⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Months went by and I never really see much change⠀ ⠀ ⠀ FRUSTRATING ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ But why? The biggest reason when I look back besides the obvious (NUTRITION) was my lack of regard for consistency. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ There were weeks I would train every day, and others just once. Finals came and I never touched a weight⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Now I don't let that get in the way because training/exercise has become a non-negotiable for me. It's been years to achieve a physique I feel proud of (still work in progress) ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ The question for you... If you are not seeing the results you wish to see, do you make a consistent training routine a non-negotiable for yourself?
