The most common mistake I see with kettlebell swings is too much squat through the knees and not enough hinge at the hips. A swing is not a squat, it's more of a deadlift with a ballistic element. Take a look at the incorrect and correct versions and see if you can tell the differences. The best way to find out if your swings look good is to record yourself and watch the video. Or ask a pro like me 😎 If you're feeling pain in your lower back, focus on keeping the kettlebell tighter to your body (closer to your crutch) and drop your chest forward in the backswing. That should alleviate the pull on your low back. Remember, your hips (not your arms) generate power to pop the bell up and away.
