Tonight is a wrap yourself in your comfiest blanket and watch your fave movie. ⠀ ⠀ Today was not the greatest day for me. I woke up with the WORST migraine, I could barely get out of bed for any of my classes. I wanted to stay in bed and pretend I didn’t exist. No matter what I did, the pain would not go away! ⠀ ⠀ But I persisted. I drank lots of water, went to all of my classes, and even got some homework done. Now I’m sitting down with a blanket my sister gets me every year (I have 5 of the same blankets) and watching The Mummy, which is one of my favorite movies. (The original Mummy, not the Tom Cruise one btw) ⠀ ⠀ Sometimes your day doesn’t go the way you want it to, and that’s okay. You never let it take you over! You can overcome anything. When it looks like this (about a foot of snow) outside, I am thankful I didn't have to go out in it to get my workout done. Let's be honest, I am a teacher with a snow day who did not get dressed until I worked out. My plan was to do it earlier, but I took a nap. 😁 😴 There is no excuse for me not to have gotten it done. Some people think I am obsessed with it, but I am just living a healthy life. I feel good when I fuel my body properly and exercise. My kids are watching and I want to make sure they know what a healthy lifestyle looks like. It's not a quick fix, you have to be consistent in all areas, and you have to show up for workouts. I took this picture this morning, planning to post about how happy I get after working out or how important moving during pregnancy is, or something. Then my day started and was running around and never got around to it. . As I look at this picture now, I see someone so full of life and ready to rock the day. But here I am, with cramps, a migraine, complete exhaustion, a stack of papers, and thinking about all the things that need to get done. . Although you see me consistent and disciplined af with my workouts, I struggle. big time. balancing motherhood, pregnancy, full-time job, wife, and all the things. But looking at this picture, I realize working out keeps me grounded and balanced in everything else I have going on. It keeps me feeling healthy and alive..and it makes me feel like I actually do have it all together. And thank god for that 🥳

195 lbs for two singles today; video is the second single. This was my 1RM (with difficulty coming out of the hole) a little over a month ago. I have not touched this weight since then and I can’t get over how smooth this looked!!! Felt like I could have done 2 more reps! The ACL reconstruction journey is a tough one... sometimes it feels like you're getting nowhere despite the enormous amount of effort you're putting in, so you have to focus on the small victories and persevere. I could barely lift my leg off the ground a few months ago, let alone curl my leg back this far like today. I still can't lift it high enough to grab my foot and there is no way in hell I will be forcing it (the pain!! 😱). Killed Day 10! 💥💥. My numbers way better than the first time I did this workout last week! Woohoo!! Loving Transform:20 so far and going to keep pushing to get better!
