Let’s get real for a sec. A couple of people have messaged me telling me that they are envious of my travels. • Let’s be real. I have been on three 12 hour flights in three weeks. I have spent every Sunday of the year in a different continent. I can tell you exactly what food to expect in 5 different lounges but not in my house. • Yes. Travelling for work is super fun. I get a lot of my energy by meeting different people. I am super lucky to have friends in every city I have been to. I am beyond grateful that The Boyfriend still recognises me when he sees me (or I hope he will). • But this. This my friends is the reality of business travel. Don’t be fooled. • I love it (most of the time). But not for its glamour 😘😘

MINDLESS TRAINING VS MINDFUL TRAINING. You could be going to the gym 4-6 times per week, but if you are not applying specific work out regime, the intensity and frequency for your individual needs - you will not see desired results. We all have different genetic make up, some have more of fast twitch fibres than others. Some store more fat on their lower back than thighs etc. This means your fitness activity must be tailored to you! If you don’t fuel your body with proper nutrition then the work you put in at the gym is counter productive, if every time you chose let’s say a strawberry ice cream shake after your work out. 📷 Photo from summer vacation two years ago: DIET: high animal protein diet, high refined sugars. TRAINING: Split sessions, not following any training regime - “just pumping it”. Volleyball and short HIIT. Photo taken in late December: DIET: whole food vegan diet, no processed food, no refined sugars, no gluten. TRAINING: Split training schedule according to my goals. HIIT frequent and periodical. Everything tracked, everything noted in a journal. With set progress review dates. So just by acknowledging the areas that need to be worked and knowing the right food to fuel me for optimum health and performance - I’ve put on muscle mass where I wanted to and got rid of mass where I didn’t need it, same goes to fat. If your goal is to be a mean lean fighting machine - you better start tracking what work outs and foods suit you best, how you can maximise your gains without putting your health at risk and sacrificing the things you love. Guten Morgen 🌞 nach 4 Wochen gestern endlich wieder Kniebeugen 😍💪🏻wie schwer sind 40 kg nach einer Pause😅 und ich hab noch extrem aufgepasst und langsam angefangen. hab mir nach Weihnachten den Zeh gebrochen und das hat mich ganz schön eingeschränkt, nicht nur beim Bein Training. No matter how many times we repeat to ourselves that how much we sweat during an working is not directly correlated with having a good workout and even less with amount of calories burned during that season, it is undeniable that we feel that we worked harder if we do sweat. - Why? - Well, I’m no expert but I think we associate sweat with effort. And if we don’t end up out session with some sweat coming off our forehead or sometimes dripping from head to toe, we feel like we didn’t work hard enough. - A few days ago I went to do a hot yoga class. I’ve never done yoga in my life let alone hot yoga. As I have a hypermobility (cute littl’ fact about me: I can bend my thumb up to my forearm) the movements weren’t that hard. What was challenging was trying to breathe in a room which seemed to be at 50’C. 💦- Did I sweat? I couldn’t stop sweating for the whole 45 minutes and between trying to see the teacher with my eyes all watery and making an effort to not think of anything at all and enjoy the relaxation, I ended up with my clothes all soaked. ♿️ - Did I feel sore afterwards? No, nothing. I felt recovered the next day. - This last week I only did weight training sessions (and a very ridiculous not-to-be repeated ever again 30’ bodypump class). No supersets. No dropsets. But a lot of effort and focus on getting a proper form with the maximum weight as possible. 💦 - Did I sweat? I got my heart rate up but I didn’t sweat anything special. The workout that managed to get me with some drops on my forehead was a leg workout and it was only because it was close to 42’C that day. So even walking for 1 minute made me sweat during the day. ♿️ - Did I feel sore afterwards? YES.
