Had so much energy in my leg session this morning. My fabulous coach @kerrysexton_pcapro did say that hitting my water target would help and boy did it work today! Totally smashed leg day and managed some fantastic new PB’s 💪🏻 . Seriously guys and gals can’t stress enough the importance of water in strength training. I’m on 3-4 litres a day 👊 . So glutes are burning after a PB of 115kg banded hip thrusts and 80kg PB in my back squats 3 sets of 8 - woohoo 🙌 . Another day another booty workout🍑 This one’s focus: “upper” booty. Exercises that target the top of your booty, so more of your gluteus medius. _ → Activation first (and ALWAYS) | cause ya gotta wake up the butt! _ → Superset (both shown in first slide) | 4 x 8 1 1/2 banded hip thrusts + 30 banded seated hip abductions. If you think regular hip thrusts are hard...you just go right on ahead and add that half rep and tell me how you and your bum feel after that. _ → 4 x 5-8 1 1/2 deficit deadlifts. If you are new to deadlifting, or don’t feel confident in your form, ditch the deficit! _ → 3 x 20 reverse frog hypers. A new fave...do it and you’ll know why. _ → 4 x 15 kneeling squats. Try to make this move come from the glutes!!! Not pressing with your feet or pulling yourself up with core. Think booty! _ → 3 x 15 (each leg) cable kickbacks Save this one for the next time you’re wanting to focus on your upper booty 🍑Can’t be a round peach if you’re forgetting the upper part 😉

Mobility Monday! Ankle Presses and Glute Bridge Hold! - - When a joint feels stiff there’s often a neurological reason behind it. Due to a variety of factors, muscles on one side of the joint may feel “tight” while muscles on the opposite side may not be activating as they should be. - - The Ankle Press addresses both issues to help loosen up restrictions around the ankle joint. - - Set one foot on a bench. Position your body over it while grabbing the bench under your foot. Drive your knee over your foot as far as you can comfortably go while keeping your heel on the bench. - - Pull up into the bench with your upper body while driving your heel into the bench. At the same time pull your foot up towards your shin. You should feel the front of your lower leg activating. - - Hold for 10 seconds while continually pressing. Release tension. Perform 5-6 sets of 10 second holds each leg. Thank you @stevieconway_fitness for filming! - - Glute Bridge Hold — Often times when there are issues at the Ankle (and Knee), the neural drive to the Gluteus Maximus (butt) can be reduced. - - I always like to do an exercise to activate the glutes when dealing with ankle mobility/stability. - - Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet on the floor. Maintain a neutral spine as you drive your hips up in the air. Hold at the top position for 15 seconds squeezing your glute muscles the entire time. - - Release and come down. Alright alright alriiiiiight! Who’s reason to burn some fat but still grow the peach?! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I love HIIT training because it’s helps with increasing muscle development and building endurance AND it’s an easy way to burn calories in a short time span! Anytime I have to do cardio, I dread it but this makes it a little more fun even though I die DIE! I perform every exercise for 30 seconds to a minute for 4 rounds. I don’t like to rest too much in between so I typically rest between 1 minute and a minute and a half and then boom right back at it. Your heart rate will be high and you’ll probably sweat like no other, who doesn’t like sweat though?! Try these on your next cardio day🔥🔥🍑 p.s. ignore the terrible lighting :-)))
